I Broke up my engagement with my ex of 6yrs at age 28( am in. my 30s now) and everyone thought I was crazy! but a man has never been more important than my mental health and peace , GOD has something else, if not. am still blessed :)
Loved this topic! There is nothing wrong with women who have not settled down in their 30s. There is so much more to life than being married and having children. It will happen when its meant to happen, until then we should water ourselves and our relationships.
I have a fundamental issue with getting married being associated with settling down. That association is part of what puts pressure on singles. Just because a person isn’t married doesn’t make them “unsettled”. We need to stop that association

There can be so much pressure to settle down at this age and it takes a lot of courage to walk away from something you know isn't right when there's no guarantee of meeting anyone else.
Im currently in a season of trying to get back to who I am yet want to be in a relationship because I feel my worth is attached to being chosen and when my ex kept choosing other people over me it hurt me so much. I will come back to this as often as I have to until I know my value is only with Christ not other human beings
I deeply enjoyed this episode. Very resounding and insightful.The part that talked about not knowing how to end things set off alarms in my head. Left a relationship that was about to transition into the next phase of marriage and in the spur of the moment, it felt like a foolish decision. I rededicated my life and decided that I wasn’t just going to be clout-chasing Christ . 2 years and still counting, I’m stunningly single but grateful that I made that decision to follow Christ genuinely and yield control of every area of my life to him.
