Yep, it is. 3ds version doesn't really live up to the Wii u version.. The fact that levels are shared through streetpass instead of, you know, actual online, was a stupid gimmicky design choice.

I hope MatPat finds the time to try out and explore the more difficult ones in Mario Maker 2, where there is not just addition but subtraction, multiplication, division and negative numbers. Amazing what a simple game can do
sounds near impossible if you dont have infinite spaces(both in computer and in mario maker map.) and even 4 digits are pretty much. Think about it, basic addition is tat big, just for multiplication to 3 should %300 more space, also both in mario maker map and computer even if shells just dont disappear. if numbers to 7 is 3 digit and even 8 numbers are 4 digit that is pretty high, if you ad -7 too it is 14 number. if you have -7 to 7 numbers and be able to multiply them with 7 is using 5 or 6 or even more digit of data, needs mechanism to negative numbers multiply in the right way, and if you use multiply to 7 then it use %700 more spaces than the actual calculator, needs 7 times add it, and needs to work in every other number between -7 and 7, with making mario able to travel and see all the shelves cause if they dont it cant work too. Dont you see it? Near impossible.

as long as shells are present, all mario has to do is pick them and proceed to the next station. shells are relavent while mario is near, so they can be used as bianary

Really, it's quite simple. While he's explaining bits, here what he saying: 1 bit can be in two different states, 0 and 1. If you wanted to have five digits, you need a 3 bit machine because 1 or 2 bits isn't enough storage to store five digits. Here are the combinations.
0=0 1=1 10=2 11=3 100=4 The final digit is not 5, but it's the fifth digit in the sequence.

@@woodchair6867 Redstone lamps need to be powered the whole time while they are on (similar to torches that need to be powered the whole time they are off), making them unfit for storing data. Pistons (regular ones, not sticky pistons) pushing blocks is the best way I can think off that doesn't require big contraptions.

@@endergamerxp5530 What I believe Noah was trying to say was that in Minecraft you have 2 types of torches, a normal torch (Which produces light) and a redstone torch (Which powers redstone machinery, as well as produce a tiny bit of light). Matpat (Or whoever edited the video) put a normal torch in as an example, which would do nothing but make the computer a bit brighter, where it should have been a redstone torch. Noah was just pointing out the mistake.
Also you need command blocks (non survival blocks) to emulate a game in a somewhat near-playable way. Redstone is simply too slow. But you can more easily visualise logic gates and memory lanes using redstone, so that's nice
@@terpity yes is the basic of the redstonne logical fuction in minecraft but for the not redstonner and not software maker it was hard to find the signification

uperteveames and the examples he gave were very exaggerated (while yes, incredibly impressive) he failed to mention the command block (which you can use to literally code the world around you) which is what most of those rely on.

@DAudIcI it's more than likely a miscommunication with the animator. Matpat was obviously talking about a redstone torch, as regular torches can't interact with redstone. The animator probably didn't realise there was a difference
