In just a few days, South Carolinians will gather on Veterans Day to honor men and women from all military branches who have served the country in uniform.
According to USAFacts.org, South Carolina has the 15th-highest-largest Veteran population, and the South Carolina Department of Veterans' Affairs leads and enables a state-wide coalition of partners to assist Veterans and their families. With nearly 400,000 calling the Palmetto state home, Major General (Ret.) Todd B. McCaffrey, the state's second Secretary of the South Carolina Department of Veterans' Affairs, says he is looking to ensure more Veterans are thriving.
