I don't think I've every heard a version of this song that was done better than this. These folks are super good.
...that bass break was the coolest thing I think I ever heard....
As a bluegrass bassist I agree.. we rarely get to shine .
And he and the fiddle player have to do it without frets lolol
Amen real find bass and when thears good playing Jake is right there every time lol
@@airborneassasin 😊😊😊😊

I also thought the bass break was smooth and awesomely pleasant. Great pickin' all around. Jake is just a spectacle. And loves what is going on. Awesome guys.

Zak is the baddest bass man on the planet, and that King is a monster of a bass
I love your series of videos! This music is what I grew up on.
4:40 Broooooo! That lick
Proud to be a neighbor of the writer of this one
Just when you think you’ve heard it all, you haven’t!
Nice, this is one of my favorite bluegrass songs! I'm glad it came up recommended for me. Regards from a bluegrass lover in California!

I love, love, looove these jams! Better than strawberry, plum, or gooseberry any time!
You never fail to deliver the goods!
Thanks Russ! You guys knocked this out of the park. I would personally love to see a 'Bela Fleck - Double Time/ Tony Trischka Double Banjo' style album from you.......No pressure though 😉
Along with Earl and JD Crowe, the finest banjo player ever.
Awesome! Great picking. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome 🇺🇸💪
That was some orsome bluesy banjo.I have to learn that one Ralphy. The bass was also fantastic.
Nice to see the contrabass gets a lead for once
Old Tony Watt .we played a lot years ago tell him .Steve Acord said hi.. love the sound of ur banjo man thats a killer.
thanks Steve, I loved playing with you! Hope all is well with you :-)
Man they look like they all having fun
you still play amazingly even while you are sleeping! hahaha
So informal, but WORLD CLASS!!
Y’all are tearin’ it up
Always Good Stuff!
Yeehaww!
I love this one ‘cause it’s a song us mere mortals play in jams every week! 😂 Wanted to see you play in Felton on March 11, but it looks like we’re moving out March 2nd, so we’ll have to catch you back in Tennessee.
Oh, man!!
Someone call the doctor cause those banjo breaks are siiiiiiick!!! Outright awesome!!!!!! The other guys aren't half bad either lol 👍👍👍👍👍
Ben Perea , you’re right there Ben, brilliant.
Ben Perea ,call the fire brigade, coz he’s on FIRE!!
Awsome! 👍
The day I can pick like Russ Carson is the day I become a completely happy individual alway been able do some good runs on the flatop and bass but gonna figure out this banjo if it kills me lol
It's killing me!
I’m with you, I love this little tune, but it’ll have to wait for later. I’m still learning rocky top on my banjo
Sick!
Mighty Fine!!
Awesome video
I realize how similar Clinch Mountain Backstep is to Whole World Round (Dillards). Both excellent songs. These bluesy tunes are the most fun to play I think (Cluck Old Hen is another) because the theory goes out the window and you can really cut loose
Iv never seen Jake stumped and never will lol
This may be the first capo I've seen on a mando.
Rare footage of people having fun in 2020 must be taken down
The first guitar solo guy had an amazing sound, and an odd looking back .. Very interested in knowing what it is
It's a metal brace that keeps the body of the guitar off of the player's stomach to prevent muting the resonance of the wood. I can't remember exactly what the name is, but a lot of pickers use them.
@@stephenhudson_fiddle Much appreciated
@@airborneassasin yeah, it's called a Tone-Gard and they're sold at certain acoustic music stores - they don't make a ton of difference when you're sitting, but standing they make my guitar about 30% louder!
@@tonywattbluegrass Thank you so much for the info.. I must have one lol
@@airborneassasin awesome! Yeah, I love mine so much
Son :-)
Russ, are you not one to vamp behind guitar solos?
That banjo is so much louder than the other instruments. He’s probably backing off so he doesn’t drown out the guitar breaks.
Awesome video
Severin Neukom hey dude, I see you play the banjo. I was wondering if you would wanna subscribe to my CZcams channel. Just look up my name Justin Banaska, I only have one video up right now because I just created it. If you did subscribe that would be really awesome!
