Walk and Talk is the ONLY thing I watch after a loss. Thank you for voicing our frustrations and disappointment, while still showing support for this team and staff. Losses are tough, mistakes are tough, but we move on. Go Hogs!
Trey, I am watching this video the next morning. I think your thoughts after the game were great. You have found a way to voice frustrations while at the same time support the team and give encouragement. This is sports reporting at another level.

Amen Trey. We can be critical of the staff AND recognize what they have achieved. Ultimately we’ve had three weeks in a row that we have put the football at unnecessary risk at the goal line and you just can’t do that and expect to win.

Love this team and staff. Truly frustrated to have lost. No idea how/what changed during the game, and why. Your right, stuff happens, they are kids, and they are human. No one person is to blame. And let’s be thankful, we didn’t have serious injuries in this game…A&M did, and they have kids who may be out for a long while.

I think there lots of problems, but to me the most obviously strange thing is Reid Bauer not being the punter. Fletcher has had 1-2 terrible shanks per game, Bauer averaged 44 yards a kick in the previous 2 years.....
Hawgs should have won that game….but didn’t. I feel for you guys, that could easily have been the aggies. I don’t know how we did it it but we did….just enough to win the game. I couldn’t bear to watch any of the press conferences last night. I’m watching yours a day later. I agree that this was a concerted effort to lose. There’s no one person to blame because every side of the ball dropped the ball at least once last night. That’s not to say that I don’t still love our guys or I won’t be cheering my ass off next Saturday. I was just very disappointed.
That crushed me. Feels like a classic “stumble & fumble” loss that Arkansas always finds a way to have. But I know things are different now, hope we can bounce back.
I agree Malik needs to see the ball some in a game. Just not sure the way it has been done is the way you want to do it. For one thing, when he suddenly comes out everyone in the stadium knows he's getting the ball. Maybe have him out there without getting the ball a bit just to keep em guessing? Who am I to say, but it aint the way it was done last night.
Yeah they do a lot of predictable things. They spend all week talking about what the gameplan will be, they always run up the gut right after a successful pass when they do hurry-up, they do what you're saying and are super predictable with Malik, they reach out with the ball when they shouldn't.....the list goes on and on
You are spot on. We need more regular folks to understand this type of temperament. Your analysis is super sensible. You are right. They will bounce back. And FYI, I feel the same about ATT Stadium. We love locally in Dallas and always stay home on this game. Too big, too expensive and yes they all do look like "ants."

It’s almost 4PM ET the Sunday after and this is the first time I’ve dipped my toe in the water since the loss. As a Hog fan living in Houston, all I can say is that disappointing doesn’t begin to address how I feel. It was a bad loss to an annoying group of people. But the joke is on us, as usual. I can make fun of their chants and buzz cuts all I want. At the end of the day, it’s 10-1 with countless, painful losses that materialized with victory in sight. No blame game here. At this point, 10-1 speaks for itself. The KJ Leap, right or wrong, now sits in my vault of Arkansas sports horror stories. We still had so many chances, but that play changed the entire game. It is what it is. And I’m sad about the whole thing. I love your commentary. Winners win games and losers screw up and give them away. That’s it.

Trey all your points are spot on our mistakes HAVE to STOP. Since when did we start fumbling the ball couple times each game I mean I don’t recall that at all last year. All our players and coaches are good we just have to be sound in every phase of the game. I feel like and have felt like when we get up on any team we just take our foot off there throat and let them back in the game that has to stop. No more get ahead and then start experimenting with things and doing razzel dazzle this and that stick with what was working until they stop it. I love that we run the ball great but I do believe we need more shot over the top plays down field KJ throws those balls so well Maybe we should try to throw to open up the run if that makes sense with a little KJ run mixed in. Any way not a big fan of two downs of runs for for minimal or lost yardage then throwing it on 3 rd I mean everyone knows what’s coming then. Anyway I’m disappointed like everyone should be on to next week bama will be hard for sure but there is always a chance to redeem yourself. Go Hogs 😢
Of all the teams I hate losing to the most, A&M is first in line. We had ALL the momentum until KJ leaped in the air, stuck the ball out (for some unknown reason . . . .what was he reaching for?), the ball was fumbled, and A&M hands it off to a guy and he scores a touchdown. That play was a HUGE momentum changer. And as poorly as we played (I disagree with Trey . . . .we still have tackling issues), we still could have won the game. Oh well . . . in comes Alabama next week. We have to pull a rabbit out of the hat to have any chance of winning the west. That rabbit is beating 'Bama. HUGE task, though! But as for tonight, such a disappointing loss.
Only thing I can think of is that in the moment the pressure got to him a little bit and he lost track of where he was on the field. Maybe thought he was closer than he really was.
I agree Trey with everything except Briles. Hornsby does need more touches 100% agree but why do we use trick plays that take so long to develop? I have said this for two years, too many trick plays that don’t work.
Thanks Trey. Boy we looked good that 1st quarter. When the offense is doing its thing and our backs are picking up yards, moving the football, and KJ has that tempo going, it's a lot of fun to watch. Our first two games, and now this one, it seems we always take our foot off the gas at some point, and the other team sort of hangs around. Seems like we never really had a sense of urgency to get the momentum back. I was stunned because I had been very confident that our offense had always made the necessary plays up until the point where all the sudden there was no time on the scoreboard and the game was over. This is a lesson for fans and players alike on handling adversity and dealing with a loss. Something that can make you feel this punched-in-the gut feeling is a powerful and beautiful thing. Our last coaching staff was different because expectation never had never risen itself to the level of any expectation like we had last night. Time to see what's next and if our mistakes are fixable, or if it becomes an identity for this time. Obviously we hope for the former and put our best selves forward.

As heartbreaking as this loss was, if we can somehow pull out a win against Bama next week we are still in a really, really good spot. We’d have the tiebreaker over Bama and I’m almost sure A&M will lose at least a couple more SEC games, which would put us ahead of them if we continue to win. I know that is a lot of if’s, but Arkansas is a team I feel like has a chance to win any game they play, and I really, really don’t think A&M is going to run the table. I still feel like next week is the biggest game on Arkansas’ schedule. It’ll be interesting. Go Hogs!

@@thunderhog45 That much is true, bro -- and that play irritates TF outta me too. But that's what happens in CFB. Teams make mistakes, and winning teams typically capitalize on said mistakes. The only thing that matters is how this team responds after such a close loss. This was essentially like their first road game of the season, despite being at a "neutral" venue, and hopefully some tough lessons were learned.
I was glad our secondary had a better game. I was very worried about that. The cutesy play calling has always been an issue. We've just won in spite of that. Our luck ran out against A&M. You can have trick plays but calling one is riskier in our tempo offense. Stops the flow of the game and keeps us from doing what we do best...keep pushing them back and punishing them with a battalion of running backs.
Thank you Trey. The comments I’ve seen from some people about this game. None of these coaches deserve to be fired. It’s ridiculous to even think that. It just wasn’t our day. It happens. That’s college football. Look at Texas. Look at how well they played Alabama and then look what happened against Tech today. College football is just like that sometimes. Good coordinators make the right schematic adjustments..doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be here, but this offense is too sound to try to get horizontal against 4&5 star A&M speed. Won’t work. Didn’t work.

Not a good game, but a heck of a Walk and Talk. Not a dishonest word about the way this game played out. It’s not the end of the season or the coaches. Brush it off and head into Bama.
It's men like Trey that bring me back to reality. I'm one of the ones who get emotional after a loss and call for KB to go. It's just the most obvious thing we see when there are underlying issues we are missing. I postponed watching Trey because I knew he would bring logic to the conversation and I didn't want to hear it the other night. I'll calm down, but seriously...there were extremely questionable calls from our OC, we can't deny that. This one hurt. I grew up with LSU and Texas being our rivals...A&M is slowly starting to creep into my most hated team.
I am going to stay away from which team is better. The Aggies are loaded with talent but beat themselves on offense. It was not Arkansas D that stopped A&M in the beginning. It was stupid penalties. But that is what A&M is on offense unfortunately. Try losing to App state and take a walk. It would turn into a marathon of frustration. I hate our new bend but don’t break defense but it has worked so far. You are 100% right that Arkansas is a nationally respected team again. We hate to lose to you as much as you hate to lose to us. Win the rest of your games and all of your goals are still in front of you. Head up and play hard. Gig em.

Hornsby DOES need more touches. However, you can't put him on the field ONLY when he's going to get the ball. Right now, the only time he lines up is on plays where were going to get the ball to him. I would imagine the defense knows that, as well and it sure makes it easy to stop.
Loved the walk & talk Trey! KB is a good college OC but he is no where near where he needs to be as a play caller. Bad play calling cost us the game and i think he had hit his ceiling in that aspect. Don’t understand the hurry up, the back to back to back plays trying to get Hornsby the ball when we are avg. 6 yards a carry. Don’t want anybody fired it’s just frustrating when my dumb azz knows better!
I’m a hog fan. I always will be. I’m also a critical fan. We almost beat Alabama last year, but the play calling in the last minutes of that game seemed to rob us of any chance. The 1st down run, 2nd down run, 3rd down pass(East to west) sequence still continues to this day, sadly. Players and coaches make mistakes…it happens. It’s just sick that our players not only have to try to beat the other team, but they have to make miracles happen when everyone knows the upcoming play…a majority of the time. This isn’t new, or there would be no criticism. It’s way too predictable. It’s not fair to our players. It was a tough loss tonight. Hope they bounce back. WPS!

I understand plenty of blame to go around. Frustration is an understatement. 23-21, missed field goal at the end. I had a bad vibe about this game, but totally forgot about it with a 14-0 1st quarter. I thought no sweat, bogus bad vibe, we got this in the bag. Then, starting in the 2nd quarter, Arkansas has a comedy of errors to help A & M win the game. We get out scored 23 to 7 to end the game. "WOW"!! Arm tackles and ole` grabs. Third and forever and the Razorbacks allow first downs. Geez, on the radio Chuck was saying, "How does that happen??" One yard is 3 feet, 2 yards 6 feet, etc. Why is someone trying to jump and extend the ball from the fourth and fifth yard line, just to have it knocked away between the two and three yard lines??? No excuse for anyone who does this STUPID maneuver. Agree, I hate when players extend the ball, almost aways ends bad, but are any of these guys smart enough to realize this and not do it anymore?????? If this happens again this season then we know for sure that underneath that HOG on the helmet, (of the guilty party) there is some very low brain output. No excuse for a fumble like this, ever! Good news!! Barring freak injuries and we keep the Razorback's healthy, a 10-2 regular season prediction still intact. We get hammered by Bama next week and then, hopefully, the Hog's get their head out and finish on a 8-0 run with a New Years Day Bowl win. 11-2 . We can do this. Hog-a-looyah!! I disagree, I feel the KJ fumble was the key to this game. If he hadn't fumbled, it would've been 21-7. But instead, it was a 14 point swing for the aggies. YES, we did have a chance to win at the end. But that kick shouldnt have determined the game. Im not saying get rid of anyone. only we need to keep it in perspective. We beat ourselves.Had we stayed on schedule I believe we shouldve won by at least 14 points. This does not change my love for the hogs and company. We will bounce back strong!!
64-year Hog fan here. These games come and go in the life of a program. Even Alabama. Let it go. This year is still a season to build the culture. Let recruiting and development happen in the next couple of years, then watch the magic happen.
Completely agree. We can be upset and throw our pitty party, but at the end of the day we had a chance to put this game away but fell short. Call it mistakes, call it unlucky but on paper we should have won. I'm proud of these guys and coaches and I'm proud that we fought back after being down last week and fought back being down this game. Keep your head up boys and coaches. I agree we may be the better team but we haven't played better. We have not put together complete game this season and that was evident last night unfortunately. Lapses in focus at Key times have cost us this season and have even made some of our wins he more difficult than they probably should have been.. I believe this team has more Talent than last year but don't seem to be playing as well as of yet.

I said on another video....there are 3 reasons we lost this game! It's not the pass, or the run.....we did fine there..(could've done better, but did well enough to win) the three things that lost the game was Number One, we couldn't tackle to save our lives! If we don't learn how to tackle fast 'Bama will hang a hundred on us! Number Two, the "Idiotic Leap" from the 5 yard line!(his foot was at the 5 when he took off) WHAT WAS HE THINKING? We run out offense the right way, the way we had been running it we score there and win this game easy! And Number Three, Cam having a RARE miss! It happens....happens to pros sometimes...but this kid is special and probably won't miss again this year....unless it's from an ungodly distance...if he does miss I'll be surprised! But had ANY ONE of those three things went differently we win this game! So, we CAN bounce back and still have a great season! I really look for us to play well next week....well enough to win? That fumble and scoop and score completely changed the momentum of the game….the team just looked slightly dejected after that. Losing to A&M sucks, but giving them the game is even worse
They need to have him out there NOT getting the ball some, otherwise everybody and their cousin knows who the focus of the play is when he DOES come out.

Too many mistakes is what it comes down to...too many for a team like A&M (whose back was against the wall in an almost must-win game for them) to not take advantage of. I was a bit disappointed that you started things off by venting about a few fans who might have said some wacky things...those sorts of people are always going to be out there with their misguided hot takes, and best ignored by the rest of us. Bad tackling too much hand tackling, play calling is suspect at times, the receivers not getting open,kj don't run as much like to sit in the pocket when it 10 yards of daylight in front of him ,defense backs can't cover #17 is slow , sometimes the play calling try to get to fancy at the wrong time etc etc etc
Upset comes from unmet expectations. Most of your fan base was cocky and arrogant all week, coming over to the A&M boards, demeaning, rude and downright childish on our boards, and creating unrealistic expectations. Your fans were predicting scores like "38-17", "42-12" etc...creating unrealistic expectations. Vegas was right on with their betting odds. They were 2.5-1.5 spread all week. I like Sam Pitman and Jefferson is a great QB. The SEC West benefits from a strong Arkansas team, but all week long, all we heard was how Arkansas was going to destroy the Aggies. Learn, grow and go BTHO BAMA.
Aggie from Lil Rock here. Both teams made huge mistakes, A&M probably made more. A&M missed a filed goal AND an xtra point miss. But yet SW classic ALWAYS has huge momentum swings , lots of big plays, lots of terrible calls, all those OT games. This game s always a THRILLER. If that’s a problem, make it out of JerryWorld! How can you say A&M is not a good team? Good teams find ways to win big Games & the Aggies did it. Good enough.
Every time the players (KJ) or coaches (Briles) went for style points it blew up in their faces. And then it got into their heads. Does Bumper Pool not want to get his jersey dirtied any more or is something not right with him physically? This was one of the dumbest games I've ever seen, and that includes the two long lame duck throws by the A&M quarterback that had no chance in hell of being caught for a TD or picking up a critical 30 yard play, but somehow found paydirt anyway.
How do the aggies beat us when kj fumbles by jumping from the 3 yard line? That literally turned the whole game around. Don't be politically correct and sugar coat it. That single play lost the game.
I agree. Trey said KJ first read shouldnt be the snap. There are 0 reads at all by KJ. Just watch closely. No pre snap. No post snap. Well, maybe from time to time he reads right post snap. But rarely.

As for the offense i think kb is great you had three bad things happen on offense the leap, the three hornsby plays, and the bad snap, I was fine with the Hornsby stuff just not him touching the ball three times in a row, defensively the coverage was much better we just couldn’t get guys on the ground for some reason. Sam will have the guys fired up for next week we’re gonna throw the table at Bama we win that game and we’re back on track to have a very special season
Briles has a good playback. He can't mix them up well at all. They gotta throw deep and the running game is unstoppable. Briles is predictable and then you get popped in the mouth and mistakes happen because the defense is ahead of your coordinator.
Trey, I love you man, you don't get cute and call two plays in a row( the exact same play but flipped) like that... that stalled the drive and gave them the momentum

For every unforced error Arkansas had, A&M had one. The fumbled pat, Muhammed wide open for a 60 yard pass, the missed field goal with 4 minutes left, etc. each team made mistakes and A&M won the game.
Missing a field goal or a PAT or missing a pass play are not game changing mistakes lmao….fumbling on first and goal trying to dive in from the 4 yard line and having it returned for a 100 yard touchdown is a 14 point swing, and Arkansas missed field goal was 10 yards closer than A&M’s

I agree with your sentiments Trey. It's hard not to be mad because it -does- feel like we're two scores better than A&M. Ricky, KJ and Cam are too good for us to be mad at, but it's unfortunate they all had things go wrong at the worst times today. A couple of things to add to what you said: 1.We gave up a career high to their feature speedster back who we knew we needed to contain coming in. 2. So many defensive plays felt like Johnson threw up prayers with pressure closing in only for guys to be way too open, especially their first TD. Secondary has to help the pass rush a bit more than that.
It looked like an Arkansas High School team playing Texas A&M instead of the U of A, & our kicker NEVER misses a short field goal EVER! And “Superman” KJ Jefferson has to let go of his ego & remember there are other guys on the team. His goal line keeper & fumble & A&M recovery lost the friggin’ game!! No momentum after that. The ESPN poll came up today. It showed Arkansas dropping from #10 to #20 . What’s ESPN got against us . We lost by two, I’ve seen teams lose by more then that and not drop that far. REALLY ESPN come on 😡.
Honestly the most disappointing loss during the Pittman era. This is a game we should’ve won without hesitation. Even more disappointing than the ole miss game last year because ole miss was actually a good team. We lost to Max Johnson and Jimbo fisher… I mean c’mon. Our secondary is sorry, and our offensive play calling just doesn’t make sense at times. Too many mistakes is gonna cost us against higher quality teams than it did vs Cincy, SC, and MO state. Can’t do it. Gonna lose next week too, that’s the reality of it. Don’t think Young will capitalize on our secondary next week? He’s gonna bend our DB’s over and spank them. He’s not gonna miss the deep ball.

Kendall Briles does need to go. We are up 14-0 in the first, it’s not time to get cute. Don’t stop what you’re doing when they can’t stop it. Briles has this fascination with wanting to run these trick plays that have not worked. At all! They didn’t run the ball in the 3rd because they lost all their momentum after the KJ fumble. We should have gone up 3 positions before the fumble. It is what it is.
Everyone in the country knew when Hornsby went in who was getting the ball. Offense is absolutely too darn predictable. Arkansas beat Arkansas and if you think any different then you need a new profession. Real Talk

I'm not jumping ship. I didn't jump when ol dumbass was the coach. I'm sure not going anywhere now. This loss is hard. I despise A&M but they played good when they needed to. We just made too many mistakes. I think we will regroup and shock the world next week. Go Hogs!!! WPS!!!!
I am sorry, but we gave them light. First, we tried to run a whole set for Hornsby instead of continuing to run it down their throat. If we go up three scores, they would have needed to pass more without the threat of run. That left the door open. Then the inexplicable fumble. That was a 13 point swing. They didn’t earn any of it-we gave it to them. That was our opportunity to make it difficult for their offense. Instead, we gave them hope, and they took advantage. This was a classic guy-punch Arkansas defeat, in which we continually step on a rake. I thought we were past that-it was my fault for believing.
Sup Trey saw you in the doubletree by the way. “Go hogs”. Yea our fans sucked last night. Their fans kicked our ass trust me I was righ by them. Very disappointed in our fans a lot of them are sitting on 3rd down and being silent like why are you even at the game? Proud of our guys we fought hard. We are just not “elite” yet and that’s ok. We’re very good but not elite and I think we will get there in a couple more years
I’m not saying a goal line leap by the qb is a low risk play. Qb usually don’t take a hit like a rb. So I get the comments about why would kJ leap that far out? But if you look at the Ole Miss leap footage from last year, he leaps from the four yd line. It’s a high risk play and it didn’t work out this time.
Can’t expect to win them all but we also can’t be content losing any of them. Glad to see AR fans pissed we lost, instead of pleased it was a close game.
Walk and Talk is the ONLY thing I watch after a loss. Thank you for voicing our frustrations and disappointment, while still showing support for this team and staff. Losses are tough, mistakes are tough, but we move on.

Love this team and staff. Truly frustrated to have lost. No idea how/what changed during the game, and why. Your right, stuff happens, they are kids, and they are human. No one person is to blame. And let’s be thankful, we didn’t have serious injuries in this game…A&M did, and they have kids who may be out for a long while.

I think there lots of problems, but to me the most obviously strange thing is Reid Bauer not being the punter. Fletcher has had 1-2 terrible shanks per game, Bauer averaged 44 yards a kick in the previous 2 years.....
I've been thinking the same thing. Fletcher may have a stronger leg but he hasn't been consistent.

I couldn’t bear to watch any of the press conferences last night. I’m watching yours a day later. I agree that this was a concerted effort to lose. There’s no one person to blame because every side of the ball dropped the ball at least once last night. That’s not to say that I don’t still love our guys or I won’t be cheering my ass off next Saturday. I was just very disappointed.
That crushed me. Feels like a classic “stumble & fumble” loss that Arkansas always finds a way to have. But I know things are different now, hope we can bounce back.
I agree Malik needs to see the ball some in a game. Just not sure the way it has been done is the way you want to do it. For one thing, when he suddenly comes out everyone in the stadium knows he's getting the ball. Maybe have him out there without getting the ball a bit just to keep em guessing? Who am I to say, but it aint the way it was done last night.
Yeah they do a lot of predictable things. They spend all week talking about what the gameplan will be, they always run up the gut right after a successful pass when they do hurry-up, they do what you're saying and are super predictable with Malik, they reach out with the ball when they shouldn't.....the list goes on and on

It’s almost 4PM ET the Sunday after and this is the first time I’ve dipped my toe in the water since the loss. As a Hog fan living in Houston, all I can say is that disappointing doesn’t begin to address how I feel. It was a bad loss to an annoying group of people. But the joke is on us, as usual. I can make fun of their chants and buzz cuts all I want. At the end of the day, it’s 10-1 with countless, painful losses that materialized with victory in sight. No blame game here. At this point, 10-1 speaks for itself. The KJ Leap, right or wrong, now sits in my vault of Arkansas sports horror stories. We still had so many chances, but that play changed the entire game. It is what it is. And I’m sad about the whole thing. I love your commentary. Winners win games and losers screw up and give them away. That’s it.

Trey all your points are spot on our mistakes HAVE to STOP. Since when did we start fumbling the ball couple times each game I mean I don’t recall that at all last year. All our players and coaches are good we just have to be sound in every phase of the game. I feel like and have felt like when we get up on any team we just take our foot off there throat and let them back in the game that has to stop. No more get ahead and then start experimenting with things and doing razzel dazzle this and that stick with what was working until they stop it. I love that we run the ball great but I do believe we need more shot over the top plays down field KJ throws those balls so well Maybe we should try to throw to open up the run if that makes sense with a little KJ run mixed in. Any way not a big fan of two downs of runs for for minimal or lost yardage then throwing it on 3 rd I mean everyone knows what’s coming then. Anyway I’m disappointed like everyone should be on to next week bama will be hard for sure but there is always a chance to redeem yourself. Go Hogs 😢
Of all the teams I hate losing to the most, A&M is first in line. We had ALL the momentum until KJ leaped in the air, stuck the ball out (for some unknown reason . . . .what was he reaching for?), the ball was fumbled, and A&M hands it off to a guy and he scores a touchdown. That play was a HUGE momentum changer. And as poorly as we played (I disagree with Trey . . . .we still have tackling issues), we still could have won the game. Oh well . . . in comes Alabama next week. We have to pull a rabbit out of the hat to have any chance of winning the west. That rabbit is beating 'Bama. HUGE task, though! But as for tonight, such a disappointing loss.

Only thing I can think of is that in the moment the pressure got to him a little bit and he lost track of where he was on the field. Maybe thought he was closer than he really was.

Boy we looked good that 1st quarter. When the offense is doing its thing and our backs are picking up yards, moving the football, and KJ has that tempo going, it's a lot of fun to watch.
Our first two games, and now this one, it seems we always take our foot off the gas at some point, and the other team sort of hangs around. Seems like we never really had a sense of urgency to get the momentum back. I was stunned because I had been very confident that our offense had always made the necessary plays up until the point where all the sudden there was no time on the scoreboard and the game was over.
This is a lesson for fans and players alike on handling adversity and dealing with a loss. Something that can make you feel this punched-in-the gut feeling is a powerful and beautiful thing. Our last coaching staff was different because expectation never had never risen itself to the level of any expectation like we had last night.
Time to see what's next and if our mistakes are fixable, or if it becomes an identity for this time. Obviously we hope for the former and put our best selves forward.

As heartbreaking as this loss was, if we can somehow pull out a win against Bama next week we are still in a really, really good spot. We’d have the tiebreaker over Bama and I’m almost sure A&M will lose at least a couple more SEC games, which would put us ahead of them if we continue to win. I know that is a lot of if’s, but Arkansas is a team I feel like has a chance to win any game they play, and I really, really don’t think A&M is going to run the table. I still feel like next week is the biggest game on Arkansas’ schedule. It’ll be interesting. Go Hogs!

@@thunderhog45 That much is true, bro -- and that play irritates TF outta me too. But that's what happens in CFB. Teams make mistakes, and winning teams typically capitalize on said mistakes. The only thing that matters is how this team responds after such a close loss. This was essentially like their first road game of the season, despite being at a "neutral" venue, and hopefully some tough lessons were learned.
I was glad our secondary had a better game. I was very worried about that. The cutesy play calling has always been an issue. We've just won in spite of that. Our luck ran out against A&M. You can have trick plays but calling one is riskier in our tempo offense. Stops the flow of the game and keeps us from doing what we do best...keep pushing them back and punishing them with a battalion of running backs.
Thank you Trey. The comments I’ve seen from some people about this game. None of these coaches deserve to be fired. It’s ridiculous to even think that. It just wasn’t our day. It happens. That’s college football. Look at Texas. Look at how well they played Alabama and then look what happened against Tech today. College football is just like that sometimes. It's men like Trey that bring me back to reality. I'm one of the ones who get emotional after a loss and call for KB to go. It's just the most obvious thing we see when there are underlying issues we are missing. I postponed watching Trey because I knew he would bring logic to the conversation and I didn't want to hear it the other night. I'll calm down, but seriously...there were extremely questionable calls from our OC, we can't deny that. This one hurt. I grew up with LSU and Texas being our rivals...A&M is slowly starting to creep into my most hated team.
I am going to stay away from which team is better. The Aggies are loaded with talent but beat themselves on offense. It was not Arkansas D that stopped A&M in the beginning. It was stupid penalties. But that is what A&M is on offense unfortunately. Try losing to App state and take a walk. It would turn into a marathon of frustration. Hornsby DOES need more touches. However, you can't put him on the field ONLY when he's going to get the ball. Right now, the only time he lines up is on plays where were going to get the ball to him. I would imagine the defense knows that, as well and it sure makes it easy to stop.
Loved the walk & talk Trey! KB is a good college OC but he is no where near where he needs to be as a play caller. Bad play calling cost us the game and i think he had hit his ceiling in that aspect. Don’t understand the hurry up, the back to back to back plays trying to get Hornsby the ball when we are avg. 6 yards a carry. I’m a hog fan. I always will be. I’m also a critical fan. We almost beat Alabama last year, but the play calling in the last minutes of that game seemed to rob us of any chance. The 1st down run, 2nd down run, 3rd down pass(East to west) sequence still continues to this day, sadly. Players and coaches make mistakes…it happens. It’s just sick that our players not only have to try to beat the other team, but they have to make miracles happen when everyone knows the upcoming play…a majority of the time. This isn’t new, or there would be no criticism. It’s way too predictable. It’s not fair to our players. It was a tough loss tonight. Hope they bounce back. WPS!

I understand plenty of blame to go around. Frustration is an understatement. 23-21, missed field goal at the end. I had a bad vibe about this game, but totally forgot about it with a 14-0 1st quarter. I thought no sweat, bogus bad vibe, we got this in the bag. Then, starting in the 2nd quarter, Arkansas has a comedy of errors to help A & M win the game. We get out scored 23 to 7 to end the game. "WOW"!! Arm tackles and ole` grabs. Third and forever and the Razorbacks allow first downs. Geez, on the radio Chuck was saying, "How does that happen??"
One yard is 3 feet, 2 yards 6 feet, etc. Why is someone trying to jump and extend the ball from the fourth and fifth yard line, just to have it knocked away between the two and three yard lines??? No excuse for anyone who does this STUPID maneuver. Agree, I hate when players extend the ball, almost aways ends bad, but are any of these guys smart enough to realize this and not do it anymore?????? If this happens again this season then we know for sure that underneath that HOG on the helmet, (of the guilty party) there is some very low brain output. No excuse for a fumble like this, ever!

I disagree, I feel the KJ fumble was the key to this game. If he hadn't fumbled, it would've been 21-7. But instead, it was a 14 point swing for the aggies. YES, we did have a chance to win at the end. But that kick shouldnt have determined the game. Im not saying get rid of anyone. only we need to keep it in perspective. We beat ourselves.Had we stayed on schedule I believe we shouldve won by at least 14 points. This does not change my love for the hogs and company. We will bounce back strong!!

I agree we may be the better team but we haven't played better. We have not put together complete game this season and that was evident last night unfortunately. Lapses in focus at Key times have cost us this season and have even made some of our wins he more difficult than they probably should have been.. I believe this team has more Talent than last year but don't seem to be playing as well as of yet.

It's not the pass, or the run.....we did fine there..(could've done better, but did well enough to win) the three things that lost the game was Number One, we couldn't tackle to save our lives! If we don't learn how to tackle fast 'Bama will hang a hundred on us! Number Two, the "Idiotic Leap" from the 5 yard line!(his foot was at the 5 when he took off) WHAT WAS HE THINKING? We run out offense the right way, the way we had been running it we score there and win this game easy! And Number Three, Cam having a RARE miss! It happens....happens to pros sometimes...but this kid is special and probably won't miss again this year....unless it's from an ungodly distance...if he does miss I'll be surprised! But had ANY ONE of those three things went differently we win this game! So, we CAN bounce back and still have a great season! I really look for us to play well next week....well enough to win? Upset comes from unmet expectations. Most of your fan base was cocky and arrogant all week, coming over to the A&M boards, demeaning, rude and downright childish on our boards, and creating unrealistic expectations. Your fans were predicting scores like "38-17", "42-12" etc...creating unrealistic expectations. Vegas was right on with their betting odds. They were 2.5-1.5 spread all week. I like Sam Pitman and Jefferson is a great QB. The SEC West benefits from a strong Arkansas team, but all week long, all we heard was how Arkansas was going to destroy the Aggies. Learn, grow and go BTHO BAMA.

Every time the players (KJ) or coaches (Briles) went for style points it blew up in their faces. And then it got into their heads. Does Bumper Pool not want to get his jersey dirtied any more or is something not right with him physically? This was one of the dumbest games I've ever seen, and that includes the two long lame duck throws by the A&M quarterback that had no chance in hell of being caught for a TD or picking up a critical 30 yard play, but somehow found paydirt anyway.

How do the aggies beat us when kj fumbles by jumping from the 3 yard line? That literally turned the whole game around. Don't be politically correct and sugar coat it. That single play lost the game.

I agree. Trey said KJ first read shouldnt be the snap. There are 0 reads at all by KJ. Just watch closely. No pre snap. No post snap. Well, maybe from time to time he reads right post snap. But rarely.

As for the offense i think kb is great you had three bad things happen on offense the leap, the three hornsby plays, and the bad snap, I was fine with the Hornsby stuff just not him touching the ball three times in a row, defensively the coverage was much better we just couldn’t get guys on the ground for some reason. Sam will have the guys fired up for next week we’re gonna throw the table at Bama we win that game and we’re back on track to have a very special season

Briles has a good playback. He can't mix them up well at all. They gotta throw deep and the running game is unstoppable. Briles is predictable and then you get popped in the mouth and mistakes happen because the defense is ahead of your coordinator.
Trey, I love you man, you don't get cute and call two plays in a row( the exact same play but flipped) like that... that stalled the drive and gave them the momentum

For every unforced error Arkansas had, A&M had one. The fumbled pat, Muhammed wide open for a 60 yard pass, the missed field goal with 4 minutes left, etc. each team made mistakes and A&M won the game.

Missing a field goal or a PAT or missing a pass play are not game changing mistakes lmao….fumbling on first and goal trying to dive in from the 4 yard line and having it returned for a 100 yard touchdown is a 14 point swing, and Arkansas missed field goal was 10 yards closer than A&M’s
13 point swing compared to a botched extra point and missed 53 yard field goal? Not even close
@@tuenchie7541 Muhammad III bullshit "chop block" penalty took a TD off the board....we had all the momentum and had 9-65yards of drive killing penalties....that fumble was a killer, but so was A&Ms fumble against App St...it happens
I agree with your sentiments Trey. It's hard not to be mad because it -does- feel like we're two scores better than A&M. Ricky, KJ and Cam are too good for us to be mad at, but it's unfortunate they all had things go wrong at the worst times today.
A couple of things to add to what you said:
1.We gave up a career high to their feature speedster back who we knew we needed to contain coming in.
2. So many defensive plays felt like Johnson threw up prayers with pressure closing in only for guys to be way too open, especially their first TD. Secondary has to help the pass rush a bit more than that.
You ain’t 2 scores better than A&M. 1 max and honestly maybe less. A&M’s new QB still learning their system.

It looked like an Arkansas High School team playing Texas A&M instead of the U of A, & our kicker NEVER misses a short field goal EVER! And “Superman” KJ Jefferson has to let go of his ego & remember there are other guys on the team. His goal line keeper & fumble & A&M recovery lost the friggin’ game!! No momentum after that. Disgusting game!!

The ESPN poll came up today. It showed Arkansas dropping from #10 to #20 . What’s ESPN got against us . We lost by two, I’ve seen teams lose by more then that and not drop that far. REALLY ESPN come on 😡.

Honestly the most disappointing loss during the Pittman era. This is a game we should’ve won without hesitation. Even more disappointing than the ole miss game last year because ole miss was actually a good team. We lost to Max Johnson and Jimbo fisher… I mean c’mon. Our secondary is sorry, and our offensive play calling just doesn’t make sense at times. Too many mistakes is gonna cost us against higher quality teams than it did vs Cincy, SC, and MO state. Can’t do it. Gonna lose next week too, that’s the reality of it. Don’t think Young will capitalize on our secondary next week? He’s gonna bend our DB’s over and spank them. He’s not gonna miss the deep ball.
Defense gave up some plays, but at the end of the day they surrendered 16 points.

Texas a&m did not beat Arkansas even though the score shows it the field goal kicker did not lose the game for Arkansas Arkansas lost a game because the players quit playing first and foremost

this is the only part where I disagree with trey and that's ok. but we in fact beat ourselves. we completely lost our MOJO when kj fumbled the ball and never got it back until almost the end of the game.

Kendall Briles does need to go. We are up 14-0 in the first, it’s not time to get cute. Don’t stop what you’re doing when they can’t stop it. Briles has this fascination with wanting to run these trick plays that have not worked. At all! They didn’t run the ball in the 3rd because they lost all their momentum after the KJ fumble. We should have gone up 3 positions before the fumble. It is what it is.
Everyone in the country knew when Hornsby went in who was getting the ball. Offense is absolutely too darn predictable. Arkansas beat Arkansas and if you think any different then you need a new profession. Real Talk

I'm not jumping ship. I didn't jump when ol dumbass was the coach. I'm sure not going anywhere now. This loss is hard. I despise A&M but they played good when they needed to. We just made too many mistakes. I think we will regroup and shock the world next week. Go Hogs!!! WPS!!!!

I am sorry, but we gave them light. First, we tried to run a whole set for Hornsby instead of continuing to run it down their throat. If we go up three scores, they would have needed to pass more without the threat of run. That left the door open. Then the inexplicable fumble. That was a 13 point swing. They didn’t earn any of it-we gave it to them. That was our opportunity to make it difficult for their offense. Instead, we gave them hope, and they took advantage. This was a classic guy-punch Arkansas defeat, in which we continually step on a rake. I thought we were past that-it was my fault for believing.

Very disappointed in our fans a lot of them are sitting on 3rd down and being silent like why are you even at the game? Proud of our guys we fought hard. We are just not “elite” yet and that’s ok. I’m not saying a goal line leap by the qb is a low risk play. Qb usually don’t take a hit like a rb. So I get the comments about why would kJ leap that far out? But if you look at the Ole Miss leap footage from last year, he leaps from the four yd line. It’s a high risk play and it didn’t work out this time.
I know kJ is a big guy that looks like a grown @ss man, but he’s just a kid trying his best to win a game. Same as Little.
