My great grandma died in 2011, my great grandpa never remarried. He died 3 weeks ago at 103 years old. I couldn't be there for his last moments unfortunately, but according to my family members that were there, his last words were: "my wife is behind you, I can see her." He had dementia so it was probably just a hallucination, but I'm just happy he wasn't afraid when he passed. He was a good guy.
I feel for these older people, I work at a nursing home, and could you imagine the love of your life, slowly slipping away in their mind. This guy comes everyday & eats lunch with his wife, takes care of her. That's a real man.

My great grandma died in 2011, my great grandpa never remarried. He died 3 weeks ago at 103 years old. I couldn't be there for his last moments unfortunately, but according to my family members that were there, his last words were: "my wife is behind you, I can see her."
He had dementia so it was probably just a hallucination, but I'm just happy he wasn't afraid when he passed. He was a good guy.

I’m 5’ 7” and I never really understood why people care about height so much. If someone is good bit smaller than you, they can just pick you up like a child, and I think that would be pretty funny, same if you’re much shorter than your partner.

I just had my great grandma die at age 103. She was born in 1920, graduated from high school at 16, college at 20 (she even taught her own siblings. She was a welder on a ship in WW2, she lived through the Great Depression, Korean, and Vietnam wars, saw the first people land on the moon, the Cold war, and much more than I could even describe. She lived through so much depression, mass genocide, and war. But she always had a smile on her face, whether it was beating me, my cousins, parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles in board games, or hanging out with family she always had a smile on her face even if it was faint. She was always with family and was one of the smartest and wisest people I knew. May she rest in peace.
