Hi, I made this video because I went to do this job and couldn't find one. I hope this helps someone.
Let me know if you have any questions. - Komedie
6 years later and this video is still useful. Thank you sir
Just helped my brother and I 👍thanks dude
Same wiper issue im waiting as we speak for my switch in the mail.Thank you so much for posting this video the install will be so much easier now.
Are your wipers going on their own even when it shows it’s off? Here I am in 2024 and it’s driving me crazy haha.
You dont need ti take any trin if other than that one top piece, drop the steering wheel to the lowest position and you can wiggle it out, dont need to take off any trim
Okay I did it today. Thanks to you again for this video took me ten mins to do entire process.
Thanks guy. My switch is doing same thing. Just purchased a new one and going to attempt to change myself.
Thank you I would have never known to pull the dash trim.
Thank you for making this video. I accidentally broke my switch moving the dashboard. (Removed to fix AC). I was afraid the steering wheel would have to be removed like on older cars.
thank you I was able to replace mine with this video
Awesome!! I'm glad it helped you! :)
what size torx bit?
I went thru this and it turned out to be the motor that lost its "park" Function. The way you tell is it was away ont the intermittent function would work but you could get he slow and fast speed to work it would just never stop
Is it the wiper multifunction switch he replaced?
yes
I replaced the windshield wiper motor and this but my wipers still won't turn off after I turn the switch on any guesses?
Do you have any answers 2 years later? I’m in the same situation where I’m replacing the switch at the moment in hopes this problem will stop!
@@CupaJoe if you got the extra cash I would recommend just taking it to a mechanic. I removed and added a new Windshield Motor and a new Switch as in this video and neither one did the trick. it was something else electrical for me that was the issue and since I'm not knowledgeable in that I just took it into someone who is.
Didn't fix my problem must be the motor
Did it fixed your wiper problem?
It did for a while but then I had to replace my motor next which I suspect was the main culprit. I started having issues about six months later and suspect it could be that going through a car wash I frequent often is smothering the car with water which could be shorting out the motor. Not sure yet.
Good luck!
I replaced my switch too but it didnt fix the issue. Not sure what to do next :/
