Most of Sheppard's songs are amazing and they're good performers live, but godamn why are most of their live performances' sound mix so bad? I don't if it's the audio engineers but damn even in their other videos and performances, it always sucks. This band deserve better. Just for example in this video, the only kinda decent mix is the drums. The guitar / distortion is too dry and muffled, bass is just sunked in and couldn't be heard clearly, microphones / vocals kinda weak, kinda dry. I mean with their amazing voices, a little bit more reverb, compression, etc would definitely let their voices be heard clearer and also they wouldn't have to struggle singing trying to cut in the mix because the vocals (the mixing) is just drowning with all the other instruments. Acoustic guitar again just sunked in and couldn't be heard. I mean just imagine hearing the acoustic guitar' and everything with clarity and mix well. And not just an overall muffled jumbled sound. I'm not an expert or anything. I just hear and feel like the audio mix in their live performances doesn't do justice to what the band is capable of and their real sound.
