How did the MarinAire work as compared to the old Marine AIr? More air? Colder? No problem with install?
We have found Marinaire to make the best self-contained units. We installed over 50 of those last season and were very happy. They’re quieter and have a stainless condensation pan. We also install a fair amount of Mabru units. They’re smaller and they also have DC units to run on Lithium Ion. They’re a little bit pricier though.
One other note. Generally, none of the 5+ year old systems we replace can be replaced without some customization. They’ve all changed over the years. The replacement models often don’t even look similar. We literally bring a trailer full of adapters, connectors, hoses, t’s and so forth to make replacement installs work. The newer units usually are much smaller and you can reclaim that space for storage or other equipment. We often are giving customers back a decent amount of space when we replace an older Marine Air or Dometic unit with a new self-contained Marinaire or Mabru.
