Today, we're checking out the Grand Mercure Residences in Bangkok, located in a quiet corner of Sukhumvit, just 10 minutes from Asoke station. Let's dive into the details!
🌆 Location and Check-In
The hotel is in a peaceful area, yet only a short walk from Terminal 21 and Asok station. The lobby is simple, and the staff is extremely friendly and efficient. After a quick check-in, we headed to our room.
🛋️ Room Experience
I booked an apartment but received a welcome upgrade to a larger one. The living room is spacious, perfect for a family. It includes a balcony, a rare feature in Bangkok hotels, ideal for smokers. The bed is large and comfortable, though the furniture feels dated, reminiscent of old Mombasa hotels. The bathroom is functional but could use an update.
🍽️ Kitchen Amenities
The kitchen includes a full-sized fridge, a microwave, and a hob, making it convenient for longer stays. The washing machine is a huge plus, allowing for daily laundry without hassle.
🏊‍♂️ Additional Facilities
I planned to visit the pool but didn't get the chance. However, the apartment's other amenities, such as the iron board and spacious cupboards, add to the convenience of a long stay.

The Grand Mercure Residences offer excellent value for money, especially if you need more space and prefer a quieter location. It’s perfect for longer stays with its full kitchen and washing machine. For a short stay, there might be better options in the same price range, but if you’re looking to save money and enjoy a home-like environment, this is a great choice.
