- In this guitar lesson you can learn the top 3 Spanish guitar strumming techniques. Learn the rumba, the golpe strumming and the mariachi (Mexican) strumming patterns. In flamenco and Spanish guitar they are used most frequently and in this lesson we will learn all the hand movements needed to master each of those guitar techniques. These strumming patterns sound the best when you play them on a nylon string guitar, and it is recommended to use a metronome to gain speed and play any of these strumming well. Muchas Gracias! Mi padre vivía en España y compró una guitarra en Granada en 1990 y ahora practico flamenco con ella. :)
¡Eres de gran ayuda! Ahora puedo hacer todo desde el vídeo.
Disculpe mi mal español lo practico. ;)
Much thanks! My Father lived in Spain and bought a guitar back then. Somehow we got it back from a relative and now I am practicing with it. I knew most of the Techniques and I got no „Golpador“ so no Golpes on my guitar.
But the Mariachi Strumming and the Rumba in 4 is really cool!
Maybe you wanna do an Asturias Tutorial? Im currently on that Song.
You can do the rumba without the golpe too. But you can also buy golpeador in music shops or Amazon. Maybe Asturias will come later in the year too :)
Harikasın

I like this strumming how can I..
Hola Edina! Do you use the la bella 820 strings on your guitar? Because mine is almost like yours. I love your lessons!
Yes I do!
Is she turning and playing down and up with thumb?
I love u adina
1:51 do you have to go so fast??
HI mam, I am confused that do I need to keep my nails longer ( of plucking hand ) as i guess tremolo technique require nails but at the same time i feel picado technique needs no nails ?
So it's a bit confusing ..
Do not have too long nails, but you need some even for the picado.
@@TheSpanishGuitarHub ok thanks Mam . Now it's clear :)
Ow my knuckles are getting raw
Can we play Spanish strumming on a classical guitar?
yes you can!
@@TheSpanishGuitarHub Thank you. I bought your Spanish Guitar Strumming book which is very good.
@Ju2747 Thank you so much! I hope you have a lot of fun!
@@TheSpanishGuitarHub I am still learning. Unfortunately it's with a steel string guitar. That's why I am still debating if I should get a classical one.
@Ju2747 do it 😎🤩
I can do these things faster with just my thumb, or a pick, so why would I do them in an extremely complicated way that is infinitely more difficult and slower? So that I could eventually do it as fast as I can with my thumb or a pick if I practice enough and am patient for god knows how long? Sometimes it seems like these classical guitarists are just showing off by making things needlessly more complicated.
I bet in anything that I can go faster than you. 😬
2:41 sorry but you go way too fast, we get that you want to demonstrate your speed, but please let us mortal have a chance to play along to really get a feel for the rhythm...
