Yet another opening I can file under my dubious yet frequently accessed "e5 against d4" openings lol.
It's great fun trying to get away with these shenanigans at the chess club.

Not really a useful gambit, but definitely a good lesson. It also very similar to the Albin Counter Gambit so if you faced this just play a3 (the best move) to prevent any Bishop from coming it, and play Knight f3 covering the h4 square

a3 is mainline fajarowicz and will lead to losing your queen if done wrong. so you can't "just play a3", you play it at the right time or you're worse or even lost.

Bishop c5 actually still works if you play Bf2, but then you don't gain the pawn, which is yet more points for white off the board. Bc5 isn't as good.
