Gosh, I learned alot here which further impacts my decision on what will be my first photobooth. My concern with the umbrella is height, should the event have low ceiling space. So I'm glad that there is still good lighting from the ring. But the umbrella look adds to the presentation big time. The landscape to portrait is major and ease of Ipad insertion/removal is stellar. The marketing material is golden......looking forward to see what you offer there. Good work on this David.

david, how are you lighting for live view? i can light the actual photo no problem but hit or miss on live view depending on available light.
also im using dslrbooth for software and a curved top mirrorbooth with led lights.

Yes, you can go ahead and power your flash head with the anchor. I wouldn't have the modeling light on so you don't eat so much of the battery.

How do you keep the camera charged throughout the event without replacing the battery?
That's something I solved. I don't rely on a battery anymore. I have it connected directly to a power source that is not limited like a normal battery.

You can use any software that you're currently using on your iPad. Mr. Professional is not tied to any specific software. I'm sure Snappic, but you can useTouchpix, curator, and any other software that will communicate with your iPad, or surface pro.
