You can't wash a full head of romaine lettuce...the sand and dirt is hidden in the layers. You have to wash it and use a salad spinner to dry the greens off before assembling the salad. Every person I see making romaine dishes make the same mistake...what's up with that?
well when i do it i separate all the leaves and wash them individually and then dry them off by swinging them around in the air trying to shake the water off🤣🤣
I know you didn’t wash that lettuce I could see the coconut peat in between some of its leaves. This lettuce was grown hydroponically, that’s where the coconut peat comes from. Hydroponics can easily get infested with salmonella
I saw a cooking show with a chef, he explained because the seeds are close to the center you can cut the lemon like that get more juice and no seeds without a strainer, it works so I cut mine like that too.
Two tips: (Not that anyone asked me 🤭) It's meant to be made with arugula And: Put the lemon juice on 1st. Once the oil is on, it'll block it. EnJoY! Delish! 😋

This looks good! Not everyone likes creamy dressing. However, can someone please explain to me how every romaine lettuce salad I see everyone just chops the head of lettuce whole- how do you wash the lettuce without taking the leaves apart to thoroughly wash every leaf? I cut off the end and separate all the leaves and wash them three times, with the first time being a soak with baking soda, and I'm always worried about a) e coli, etc, and b) creepy crawlies
