Fun fact: those glass jars at 11:18 and 22:47 are traditional jars to make marmalade in. They are heat resistant and can even be used to bake little cakes in. Since they come with a lid, they are perfect for restaurant use. But tat is why you very often find patterns showing fruits stamped into the glass :D
Hello, since you enjoy ferry rides I can recommend taking the costal route of Norway. Bergen to Kirkenes and back for 12 days. During the winter you can see the Aurora Borealis and in the summertime you can see the midnight sun. You can also take the shorter alternative by traveling to Either Bergen or Kirkenes and take a shorter one way trip to the end destination making it a 6 day trip. I would recommend doing it in the summer unless you really want to see the Aurora Borealis, in the winter mostly dark all the time and the weather can be a bit rough. Hurtigruten is the name of the company doing those trips. And last I must say I really enjoy your relaxing videos, keep it up and keep exploring the world.
Not sure you can improve? You're content is perfect!❤️
I have never watched a solo video for a ferry that was so sad. The background music made me cry 😿
Since I live in Oslo. Let me just say one little thing here. Not some people take this round trip to buy alcohol. All of us are. But a ferry ride to recommend from Oslo is the route to Kiel in Germany. It takes 20 hours one way. And it is built like a proper cruise ship. It is operated by Color Line. And yes, we are taking this trip to buy alcohol as well. Thanks for a great video.

Soothing piano music on departure, not "Sunflower, Sunflower!" All sung by a constipated banshee trying to pass a Lego Death Star!
8:25 That seagull flying next to the ship looks like it's floating in place.
It always warms my heart that tourists have good experiences in Norway. It makes me happy. The DFDS ferries are like a mini vacation for many people. Usually Oslo - Copenhagen, then spend a day in the city, then the ferry back. Nice way to get away and enjoy yourself for a few days.
Hello Kuga, i am so happy you are enjoying your stay in Denmark. As a Dane, and a long time fan, i wish i could have shown you many of the beautiful places of Denmark. Have a nice day :)
same
My grandfather was from Skåne and we used to take the ferry from Helsingborg to Helsingør when we went down to visit. In Helsingør there is a castle, Krongborg, which is by the sea so you maybe seen it, that is where Shakespeare said Hamlet lived in. Train from Copenhagen is cheap and food in Denmark is excellent. Brostræde ice cream in Helsingør is simply the best ever.
Glad to see you are living the dream, Kuga-San, and experiencing mass-transit in other parts of the world 😁! I especially enjoyed the seagull keeping perfect station, riding the wind alongside the ship 🥰.
What a great bonus, that you got to see those spectacular sunrise and sunset over open water! And that breakfast by the window … that alone was worth the price of the trip 😁❤️!
Very nice video. Also fun fact, if the ferry seems quite cruise like, then there's a good reason for that. During the late 90's it actually sailed as a cruise ship in Asia, docked in Singapore and Hong Kong. Round trip "Mini-cruise" tickets are also regularly sold on the route, and are a common prize in games and competitions in Denmark.
Also the E3 Shinkansen lookalike is a bit of a mess. What you saw is the IC4. A Diesel train built in Italy by Ansaldo Breda (now Hitachi Rail Italy) for speeds of up to 200km/h in the early 2000's. These trains have had numerous issues with reliability, build quality, and operations. Heck they're speed limited to just 180km/h and the State railways want to retire them as soon as possible. The last ones will likely be retired by 2026, after which they'll be sold to Romania. Well apart from the one train the Italian state stole and gave to the late dictator Gadaffi in Libya to be his private train.
These trains will be replaced by a new train called the IC5. An all electric, 200km/h multiple unit train built by Alstom as part of their "Coradia Stream" family of trains that'll be delivered from 2025 onwards.
Next time you get a chance to travel to Norway, you should try "hurtigruten" or "Havila Kystruten", the travel along the Norwegian coast, they are sort of similar to the Japanese long distance ferry, with a cargo deck, but they are more passenger oriented then a ferry (they can take a few cars). They travel the entire Norwegian coast, but stop at many places, so you can chose the length of the travel, for example, an overnight travel, or a travel between Bergen and Trondheim, where you take the train to Bergen from Oslo, and then train from Trondheim back to Oslo.
Hurtigruten goes all the way from Bergen, Norway to Kirkenes near the border to Russia.
Thank you for coming to us in Scandinavia! I have been enjoying your videos from Japan for a long time. I hope to visit Japan again next year.
You should really try the cruiseferries Viking Glory and Viking Grace that serves the route Stockholm-Åland islands-Turku. And also Silja Symphony and or Silja Serenade. These are some of the most luxurious cruiseferries in the world.
Yeah those are nice ferries. The two Oslo-Kiel ferries from Color Line copied the Silja Line style of ferry (just like Royal Caribbean did too) with the "street" mid ship.
Yes he should definitely try Silja Line. They also have Commodore and its way better than this DFDS
@@fafearmani1840 Yea thats why DFDS is constantly rewarded aa the best ferry operator in Europe :-)
Copenhagen ... such a beautiful place. I was there, pretty much 30 years ago, September 1992. Rode there with my bicycle fom Frankfurt, Gemany.
You have a worldwide fan base - and you should notify us of your travel plans, so we can show you around when you reach our spot.. 🙂
Nice trip. You were so lucky to have such great weather.
I'm Danish and I have never seen The Little Mermaid although I live 30 kilometers away! Haha! Always seemed like a tourist trap for me. I hope you enjoyed Denmark, and got to see more than just Copenhagen (although Copenhagen is a very vibrant city with a lot to offer!)
isn't always the case with those little statues? Same with Loreley or Manekin Piss. If you are there for a nice walk and come by it's neat, but some travel to the place for them
I'm Canadian, never traveled outside of Canada, seeing the world through your travels is amazing. Just shows to me how bad Canadian infrastructure is. We have terrible trains and barely useful ferrys. Glad to see a lot of the world have theirs right.
We have some pretty nice ferries in BC. Don't think the one to Prince Rupert is this nice though.
You are tripping. I just watched several of Kugas Canadian train excursions. 😅 They were phenomenal. Kuga does trains, planes, ferries...🧏🇨🇦☺️✌️check them out.❤❤❤ Canada woot woot! 🥲🤪🦅🪶⛰️🏞️🌦️
Norway, one of my favourite countries. Loved being there. 💕🇦🇺
Kuga-san, next time you're in northern Europe you absolutely must try the ferry (either Silja Serenade or Silja Symphony) between Stockholm and Helsinki. You'll definitely enjoy the shopping streets they have. And you'll get a scenic ride through the archipelago.
Oslo is wonderful. When I was there in 2017 I flew in from Helsinki, but took a ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki after a train from Copenhagen to Stockholm.
Thank you for allowing us to travel with you and seeing through your eyes!
That seagull was hysterical! He was smiling at the camera!
Very nice ferry trip, thank you for taking us with you.
I like that you don't talk over the lovely films you produce.
Again, another wonderful video. Thank you, Kuga!!! 👍
Hey Kuga, very well made video! Glad you had a chance to go on this cruise 🎉

Wow! Thanks for showing us around.
That seagull, just riding the wind -- whee! 😄
Oooh new places to share videos on. Thank you!
Very nice trip ! Everything was very well presented ! Thank you very much !
Looks more like a cruise ship than a ferry.
I was there in 1965 and the statue had been stolen. It took years to get it returned.
Great cruise. The ocean was beautiful.
Wow what a lovely view of the sunset and sunrise. Thanks for another adventures.
As always another fun delightful video by kuga 😊
Thank you for taking us with you on your trip! 🤗 Your selection from the breakfast buffet made me hungry! 🙂
Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed the trip.
That as one of your best ones….. I loved it❤️👍
Those trains that looked like the E3 Shinkansen are... not very good. They're called IC4, or Litra EG. Their full introduction was delayed by nearly a decade because they didn't work properly. Even now, they're really noisy unless you sit right in the middle of them. But the seats are comfortable and there's lots of leg space.
The older IC3 (Litra MF) are much, much better. Very comfortable inside and quiet, despite being DMUs. They're used for most intercity trains. Their rubber noses are very distinctive.
thank you for the review
Thank you for the beautiful sunset...
Just realized how close I was to the Little Mermaid statue when I visited Amalienborg Palace 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Next time!😂 Great video as always❤️

Very lucky with the weather.
Great video!
Great video, always so calming to watch them! You should also try one of the ferries between Sweden and Finland, they can be quite intreresting.
@Kuga´s Travel
At 21:15 the ferry you can see is fully electric. It operates between Helsingborg (Sweden) and Helsingör (Denmark) on the shortest ferry route between both countries (distance ~ 5kms)
whoah! Kuga I always enjoy watching your travel vlogs.
Love your vids mate. Calming & Relaxing. You're pretty funny too!! 😁

I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. Sometimes in your videos I think we actually get to see what you look like in a couple of times we almost but you were like nope sorry for that. Nice to see You on a Danish operated ferry, from a danish company, traveling to Denmark, please come again, regards from Denmark🙌😀🇩🇰
This brings back memories, because I boarded this ferry many, many years ago.
Wonderful. Greetings from Canada.
Have a safe trip Kuga.
Hi Kuga, that was really fun to watch. I'm Norwegian, but I lived in Copenhagen for six years around 1990. I have taken the Oslo ferry many times, but at that time it was a lot more "ship" and a lot less luxury; not bad at all, but times have changed. The highlight for me was right at the end, where you are at OEsterport station, catching a train towards the city centre. I've stood on that platform countless times, waiting for the train; the trains have changed, but the platform is the same, it looks exactly as it did 30 years ago. A bit funny that you travel from Japan and make this video, and then I see it and remember when I was there. :-)
Great trip. Finally, European Ferry Trip on your channel.
Beautiful room and nice view..
The Little Mermaid is one of those things like the Kardashians..It's famous just for being famous.🤷
Glad you got to see it. Too bad you didn't go this time of year, though. The Christmas markets in Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, etc..are really beautiful. I get to head out in 3 weeks to go explore Reykjavik for the first time. So excited!
Safe Travels, my friend!
That's a very nice voyage. Ferry is like a floating hotel.
And thank you for taking me with you
👏🤩💕
AMAZING
I hope you enjoy the journey.
