When your catching your skip-jacks. Take your screw knob that screws to lock on your handle. Put the handle on the othe other side and screw the screw knob back in on the other side. Because the way your doing it is akward. Instead of reeling the reel in back toward you. You’ll be reeling going back away from you, which will make it much easier
Hey, the next time you put in down there in Steveson make sure you fish that bridge and island. We were there 2 weeks ago and had 2 flatheads both right at 40lbs and a 20lb blue all in about an hour.
With the live bait you get? Try the old spot for battle ship San jacinto. It's no longer there. Ship channel. Concrete and metal hand rails. Nobody even goes there anymore big park since the battleship attraction is gone.
I don’t know what the actual total weight could have been but it’s got to be close to 350- 400 lbs ( maybe 500 ) cause you guys slayed em on this trip !! It’d have been one hell of a tournament weight for catch and release ( weigh em and drop em type ) the Gingers ( I’m one myself ) kicked ass on this trip !!!
It was a TON! I didn't even film all of the fish. We were dog tired after that and got stuck in traffic for EIGHT HOURS on the way home. It turned into a 24 hour trip.

When yall are dragging baits do you necessarily have to use planer boards or are they just for gettin the spread out there?...I've never done it but plan to when I get my boat in the water..
need recommendations on a rod. Around here a 15lb cat is a good fish, 30 pounders are rare. So think 15lb cats and 10lb 25 inch stripers so nothing too heavy duty like for 60 pound flatheads or anything like that.

I fish & I’m not a PETA person, but I can understand why people that don’t fish would think this is cruelty to animals. I know you need the blood to remain in the fish for future blood attractant for catfish. That being said the chunking of fish in the cooler & allowing them to die in a slow suffocating death is why these people are turned off to fishing. P.S. My girlfriend made me say this or she wouldn’t give me nookie..😂

Medium action hellcat. They have enough ass to tackle an 80+ pound fish, but 10 pounders are still fun on them.
