Awesome title! Shiraz is the cultural capital of Iran. It's 60 minutes from Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of ancient Persian Empire. In Medeival Era it was known for the quality of its grapes and wine. In the past, Shiraz was the capital of Persia twice during the Buyid and Zand dynasties.

In 93 or 94 I was 4 weeks in Shiraz on a businesstrip. The people there are very kind and the culture there lives on for ever, and yes , on a saturday we went to see Persepolis, mighty impressive. So from now on when I here this song I ll think about my time in Shiraz.
