Those shoes are everything! Lizette is lovely, as your work always is, but something about the face up made her really special. I don’t know if it was the layering of tones, or just the color choices themselves, but the almost translucent effect is perfect for a vampire. I really think you nailed this one. Great work!

I know I've seen another artist do it, but I can't remember who. It definitely makes things a lot less bulky. It's harder to do on G1 dolls with the sway back, but G3 are a breeze.

I agree, G3 Draculaura is one of my fave doll bases I've repainted, she's so fun! Her top is so cute, and the jacket really gives me goth princess vibes. Ugh and the shoes!!! Absolutely killer! She came out great, well done!! (I struggle with eyebrows on my doll customs, lol)

Btw, you could use a small folded piece of scrap fabric or something similar to help the hair keep its shape for bigger hair do's :D

So cool! Definitely notice your brush skills. I suppose that's one of the benefits of recording your makes, you can see how you change and progress over time.
I struggle with hands in art. I have started to really use references more and just keep practicing... Though it still is infuriating!

The videos are definitely handy, but I cringe at some of my early stuff. References are so good to help with growth even when doing stylized stuff. Hands are hard, I remember spending a month on just hands in art school. It was brutal.
