    In my humble opinion. If you are a spiritual person who judges someone by the way they talk. And claimes that they dont belong in heaven. You dont belong in heaven yourself, and is a judgemental prick.. But im a non beliver so i wouldent know. I just know that nice people, who do good, deserves nice things.

      @Nathan Yu there has always been one part of the Bible that confused me. As a Christian I was always told that God is forgiving and if I prayed for him to forgive my sins he would, this makes him merciful but in the Bible it clearly states God is a vengeful God which is pretty much the opposite of being merciful. Idk maybe I'm just not understanding the meanings behind those two words, in my mind those words have always contradicted each other tho. If im wrong tell me

    • @codeystetler5081
      @codeystetler5081 Před 4 lety

      Nathan Yu what? Nah bro. You’re tip toeing around the fact that in the Bible, there are many factions in the first testament, that use God’s vengeance to kill their enemies. Also Sodom and Gamora, biblical plagues etc. he was not just vengeful, he was bloodthirsty. it was never vengeance toward christ, that is a serious misinterpretation and I don’t believe a single Christian would describe his actions toward Christ as “vengeful” because his (son/Christ/a part of himself/never actually explained well enough) agreed to undertake his journey to save mankind. Explain that one to me please... why would an omniscient, omnibenevolent, omnipowerful, omnipresent God, which is what the Bible teaches... have to kill off a part of himself, after Palpatine-ing that part of himself to be born into a rando virgin, in order to open the gates of heaven? Why would he or she do that after intentionally instilling original sin into man? Nah not buying it. Good luck. Like these two said in the video, “it’s faith, it’s hard to describe” probably because in reality there is no description for believing in something that is outlandish and is constantly at odds with logic, science, history, and fact. Cool book to read tho. That’s about where it stops.

    • @codeystetler5081
      @codeystetler5081 Před 4 lety

      Nathan Yu um one, he literally demanded the Israelites kill the Canaanites, including animals, women, and children. He was an excuse for Ethnic Cleansing. And two You’re saying God wanted us to be free, but he made a rule that was intended to be followed, even though he is all knowing so he knew the rule wouldn’t be, and did so only to have to later sacrifice himself to undo the sin he imparted. Even though baptism is said to rid of original sin, he still went through w it. Basically he wrote the rules, allowed them to be broken only to have to clean up his own mess. That is pretty absurd if not inefficient at best. He clearly wanted control in the Bible, wasn’t very fond of human freedom and expression.

    I come from a heavily Christian family who've started Christian Academies. I've read the book front to back and it's pretty clear to me, it's a book designed to control the actions of humans. When the "good book" showed up civilization was chaotic as all hell. Those in power wanted control. People have a hard time grasping things they don't understand and a select few took advantage of that. I don't completely rebuke religion. If it helps you and gives you solace at the end of the day, AWESOME! As for me, religion isn't for me. I live by a simple model that the religious and non-religious can live by in unity. Live your life, keep yourself happy, and never INTENTIONALLY hurt another. So, regardless, whether or not "God" is real, you can sleep soundly that you've done your best job to be a decent human being.

    • @st3wi3D
      @st3wi3D Před 2 lety +1

      @@icarus2678 I agree with you completely & I would reiterate to you the importance of faith in this instance (you are right to be suspicious though). There's a theological term referred to as "dispensation." It is time/era specific and it's terminal. During the time of Christ there was a dispensation of Apostles. Apostles are those who had a face to face relationship with Jesus Christ and received a unique impartation or gifting from Christ. Apostles wrote the New Testament without errors under the inspiration of God (again, it takes faith). There are no apostles today, they're all dead (with John being the last). So anyone going by the title of apostle today is a fraud as it does not meet the Biblical criteria. I'm not here to erase your doubts, but i'll leave you with Hebrews 11:6. PS - Don't be afraid to fly closer to the "Son" :-)

    • @icarus2678
      @icarus2678 Před 2 lety

      @@st3wi3DI understand the concept of dispensation, having been raised Catholic through both home and schooling, and accept that is is a strong argument. If not for this among other more personal and minute details, my faith would have evaporated many years ago. The hard part is reconciling the idea that 12 "Jon Doe" individuals would suddenly be faced with this reality and accept it as truth, as mankind as a whole is generally suspicious and fears change, especially when it could get them killed. Perhaps we as a race have regressed spiritually over time. I believe strongly in the balance between humanity and technology, and as those scales tip, we lose more and more of our connection with our natural instincts, but have we really changed that much? Someone said once that the Bible could be the word of God, or just as easily be written by a madman in an afternoon. I have never denied the existence of God, just man's interpretation. Perhaps I'm just jaded.

A local flood and a man on a raft with some of his possessions (And livestock is possessions but they weren't that specific) were probably the inspiration for the story of Noah. A spiritual warfare as some would call it... his heart seems to want/need to believe but his mind is pushing him away because he needs more logical proof... he needs his own experiences with God. It's a very much directed to God himself type of song. Like have you ever prayed but your angry at God or the circumstance your facing in that moment and you just yell at him and pour your heart out to him? I have. And this seemed like a very personal prayer he just so happened to make into a song. I believe God hears him and hopefully he hasn't renounced the presence of God so much in his heart that he cant hear when God responds. But then again, perhaps that's what he will need... a divine intervention when he is at the most distant from God. Another point I'd like to point out, I've been in churches that claim the holy ghost is there but they look and act like their possessed... you can tell the difference between God's Holy Spirt and the demons that pretend to be the real thing. But that's all in my faith base as I've said since a child. It's hard to understand in depth someone's beliefs fully by text or even in person because we all have to find our own path to Jesus. But we have to have Jesus no matter the path that led us to him before we can find God the Father. Now, with that said, I think what he's done here is beautiful. Yes, some could say its blasphemy and I won't lie and say I didnt think this as well the first time I heard it however... once I started analyzing what he is actually saying I realized I've had all the same questions at some point in my life.... so, now I look at this as a truly frustrated man asking God to show up in his life. Hes not asking the masses approval over this hes asking God if he's really there to show up and prove to him he's there. And I think by releasing this to us the general public that it will have people asking questions too. Which I think God can and will turn into something for his good. Sure, there might be people who turn away from God by hearing this song but that's with anything really if they are on the fence it only takes a breeze to blow them over either way. But yes, the language is strong but that's one of those things that kinda grab your attention. It really illustrates how upset he is. I might have to do a reaction video myself just so I can explain myself in depth because there is just so much I got out of this. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and reactions! Hope I made since in my comment. But you have a new subscriber

      I think your comment is the most forthright and comprehensive I've read in any comment section but this one in particular. I never grew up with religion as a major component of my life, even when I enlisted in the Marine Corps who had at the time a mandatory standing order for all Marines to attend a weekly service regardless of religious faith I only attended but never took it in. I had a Sgt who was a rank below me on our last deployment and we were headed home from our tour and he said It is only by the grace of God that we are all going home. This man and I had served close to twelve years together out of the little over sixteen years we were enlisted and had grown very close, we came from to entirely different backgrounds, me a city kid through and through, him a country boy from a ranch in Montana. He has a huge family while I being raised by the state had none to speak of, everything about us was the polar opposite and on this day as we where preparing to get on that plane we looked out over the airfield but what we were really seeing was the utter hell we were leaving behind. He turned to me and said " Gunny how many of those boys hell myself even do you think would be standing in line waiting to get home to their families and loved ones if you hadn't been here with us. I shrugged this off pointing out the training and the determination each and every Marine had shown during that deployment, each and every one of you is just as much the reason why I am getting on this plane as I am for anyone of you. When we got stateside and waited to be mustered out of the Corps he asked me what my plans were, and to be honest I didn't know what the hell to do, without a thought this man, my brother talked me into going home with him. So I ended up in Montana helping out on a cattle ranch and working as a mechanic for a mom & pop garage in town part time till a very good opportunity came my way. When I told my brother about the offer I had received he asked if they had room for one more so I reached out to the contact and inquired about another individual who I vouched for going through the hiring process with me. And while his wife was not exactly thrilled with his direction towords this new occupational endeavor she understood and supported his choice. After a little over a year of training and getting certified in type 1&2 redcard's and bringing many of the skillsets we had from our time in the Corps quickly got put on a critical disaster response team for a privately contracted firm. after eight years of this and my sixteen years in the Corps or my youth I had no faith in religion and no one forced it on me. My change in belief came with a very profound personal experience, I had thought I had seen hell both in my youth and my time in the Corps, I didn't know exactly how wrong I had been. We were called up for a wildfire in California that was quickly becoming a very bad situation, our teams was tasked with performing SAR (search and rescue) of any civilians in the fires path, after about six hours of doing this we were pulled off our primary assignment and ordered to redirect to the hospital in this small community on the other side of the ridge the fire was racing up they needed help getting the patients and staff out and didn't have enough vehicles or personnel to help and were getting cut off from any assistance. We quickly responded only to find only three ambulances and a few law enforcement vehicles, it was quickly decided that the doctors nurses hospital staff and administrators would need to transport patients and staff in their personal vehicles. being team lead of my element of three vehicles I asked if the rest of the team would load our vehicles with as many patients as possible leaving room for a driver and our medtech to aide the patients if need be and the rest of us would don our turnout gear and ride on the rear and side skid and hand bars till we reached incident command. Had I have known what we were riding into I can't say I would have asked my team to do what we did, as our convoy started moving we were soon faced with actually driving right through the fire itself with burning wrecks of cars fallen trees and fire everywhere we looked, through our comms I herd my brother on another vehicle start praying the lords prayer and it was quickly picked up by the rest, myself included. I never prayed so hard in my life, which is Ironic as it was literally the first time I prayed at all, all I asked was for my team and the others to make it through this, as I was praying I heard a voice saying don't worry I got you, all of you. When we reached incident command I inquired about which one of my team spoke that phrase all said it wasn't them and I chocked it up to cross talk over our net for the time being. I later asked if any of them had heard it cause it just stuck in my craw for some strange reason and again they all said no. My brother could see I was troubled about something and pulled me aside, I told him we would talk about it later. I saw to my team and those we had aided and we went back on the fire line about ten hours later. We later learned almost a hundred citizens never made it out of the town we had been sent to the hospital in, The fire had taken them. While I still harbor some guilt over those lost I can't shake the feeling that in that moment riding on the side of one of our rigs God himself answered my prayer, saving more than three hundred souls from a tragic fate. I may not be very devote but i do believe and to my brother that's a start, he thinks my life up to that point was preparing me for that event and the more than two hundred we have been called up to respond to since, I'm not the same cold jaded person I was no longer ago, I'm more hopeful than I have ever been and am very happy with where my lifes path has lead me. I'm not perfect by any stretch and have my faults and failures like most anyone but what my life has shown me is quitting is never an option.

    the comment you said at 9:37 I don't agree with because true faith is having faith on your belief unconditionally. Don't get me wrong I've had my doubts of Christianity, but ultimately when you're a believer of Christ those thoughts to just believe in something at the end of the day, because "what can go wrong"... Is not true faith; but I hope you strengthen the bond you have with Christ.

    Inspiration still doesnt convince me that those people couldn't have made it all up. And after that we get to the faith argument again. As it always comes down to. For those of us who dont believe, it is because faith has no weight in rational thought. Faith is literally believing without evidence. And that's not how it works. It is impossible for us to have faith, that concept is counter to logic.

    I grew up Christian, and while not nearly as fiery as Hopsin, I had my questions too and eventually lost faith, my brain led me to the conclusion that there is no God, which if I'm wrong is kind of ironic, that the very brain He gave me is what led me astray. I do remember however that God knows your thoughts, feelings and actions before you do. Pretending to believe or praying while not believing would be wholly disrespectful to Him if He does exist, and is disrespectful to real believers in any case. If however you are already a believer regardless, then I can see the sense in Pascals Wager. If you're wrong, nothing is lost but if you're right, as you feel you are, heaven is your reward. I just don't see the same wager work for nonbelievers though. I'm open to changing my mind, but faith with evidence is just knowledge. So even if I was shown proof that God is in fact real, I still wouldn't be able to have faith. It's like having faith that 2+2=4, you can't. You know it.
    I think the persecution like feelings you experience when you "fall out" of faith as Hopsin puts it are quite common experiences though. I was abandoned by 90% of the people I knew and even threatened with going to hell, which I put no stock in (After all, don't judge lest you be judged, if I'm wrong then judgement is left to Him and I am not worried about what humans have to say about it) but it was still nasty. If they genuinely believe it's eternal suffering, how do I deserve that? I'm still a good person, we just don't pray together anymore.. It's kind of shocking to me how easily people say such things, like it's no big deal.
    Both DMX and MC Jin became believers, Hopsin lost his faith. I think there's beauty and wisdom in both sides and a lot of complex feelings to deal with. So I'm going to stick with that statement, don't judge. you do you, you let me do me, we're all good. In this comment I capitalized His name out of respect to the readers that do believe. We can disagree respectfully, but that doesn't mean sometimes your brain isn't going off like Hopsin did in this song. Who knows what's true? Only those that died, and they never came back to tell us anything. Anyway, sorry for the long comment.

    Main thing that always bothered me about religion is that the further back in time you go, the less people could read or write... so it must have been written by rich people... kinda changes the metaphors in revelations, for example, when you realize the person warning of something magical is rich. Just so happens that it starts with wicked humans who have influence and ends with God saving you... it even says to not get involved but when you are asked to disown your God, you must not... soooooo dont try to stop the world from ending, and also let them know that your one of the people they are looking for... what if God didn't inspire those words... the world will be beyond saving if all these people don't join the fight of freedom when it comes down to it being taken away, you would be like a present to your new rulers from some guy in the past who mislead you... I believe in a God, but not religion... I like buddhism, but then again I was raised Christian so I kinda already think that way since jesus was kinda like a guy raised in the only monotheism of that day, who'd now teaching people what he learned from the area not far from there where all the Buddhists were... just my theory but it makes sense right lol.

    I respect ppl use religion as a comfort tool. But I cant really accept (which shouldnt matter to others) the arguement "I'd rather believe and be wrong, then not believe and be wrong". And that is cuz there are more religions then 1. So say you believe in one god and it's actually a different one, that doesnt like that you worshipped a false god. I feel in that situation, that god would rather have you praise no one, then praise a false god. But with that said, my thoughts shouldn't dictate your feelings in anyway. Love is not a chemical reaction in the brain that makes you feel what is hard to explain no its spiritual we all have souls God is real but being as everyone just wants to argue even hopsin says what it says in the Bible that people can't deny a creator exist based off what they see all around, the fact we exist is proof that God exist ...how can God exist ?and most people argue ? OK who created God ? God is creator he always was ....I don't mean being creator I mean existed he always was before time existed, time is a creation that God made up God is in eternity he sits where time is stuck we are all in his creation first of all if God doesn't exist how all of us just come out of nothing evolution really , i mean there had to be cause for effect something had to create dust in the beginning and those atoms just floating in space have you ever seen anything manifest from nothing ? Not saying that can't happen because being a believer I believe God can make food manifest or clothing or anything he wants from nothing but that's because he is all powerful its funny how people can believe that particles were just floating in this thing called space and atoms merged together causing the big bang they never question where did these atoms come from instead it's all a grand scheme trying to make you believe in something to push God away .... it's all like that the different religions scientific theories it's all a grand scheme coming from the deceiver and many different angles trying to ruin salvation for as many people as he can because through faith we are saved by grace without faith one cannot be saved believing in something that you can't see or can't grasp believing you will pass your high-school exam a week before you take it is faith in yourself and ability to achieve that which isn't yet proven believing in Christ and what he's done is what actually saves souls so the Devil wants as many people to question the reality of God to steal souls away from God when God loves our souls more than we love ourselves or others or anything for that matter .... people perish for a lack of knowledge things they don't know cost God souls if your read the Bible with a open heart not to know what it says for arguments sake then you would become enlightened in some way but unbelievers are that spirit of antichrist so I don't know what to say..... except I hope God opens people's eyes man because if you don't believe he exist well how can you believe in a saving salvation it's funny how people need proof to be willing to believe something but if you need money from someone you don't have to bring proof to barrow it it's all through faith that people do things like that .....I can go on and on making small points and just pushing my views but in the end unbelievers will just feel as I'm just a ticked off Christian pushing my views down someone's throat and being disrespectful in some way but the real reason it gets to believers is because we read the Bible and seeing what it says is actually quite scary hearing what most people think go against the Bible we all question everything and want proof .... Christians get offended because the only reason they want people to believe is because through believing people get saved .... it's not just some cult this is all real were talking about your soul man and its eternal resting place unsermountable peace and love so far beyond what we could everthink or insurmountable pain and anguish for eternity ....discussing sacred things shouldn't be just blared put on a song it should be done with respect people should fear God almighty and disrespecting him acting tuff dude your talking about someone who can destroy your soul altogether but wants to save you from that very thing . Believing is oh so important and I really want everyone to believe but I can't make that happen 😔 I'm sorry if I upset you with my opinions truly not my goal I just wish you and others could see where we Christians are coming from knowing what we know it's like we're trying to say don't turn down that corner there's a cliff and people are like well I can't see it from this angle so they keep driving even though we warn them that the drop is fatal and there's no coming back ....it's sad and hard .

    My thing is with religion is what you said, INSPIRATION. Would that apply to any book? Spiderman? Hulk? They might have been created through inspiration of other made up figures. But they arent real. Science provides books upon books of proof. I used to be catholic, but i couldnt find any proof that i could physically see. Nothing that could be proven. People have their epiphanies or dreams or think God saved someone. But where is the proof?

      Evidence kills faith, after all, once you have evidence you need not take it on faith. It's quite clever manipulation when you think about it, it's convinced people that not having evidence is all the evidence they need..

      @@bararobberbaron859 If you can't prove anything you believe in, why would i believe it? Science has evidence. They did the work. If your God loves me so much, why doesn't it come to my door and say HEY, WHAT UP BRO? IM GOD? Religion has scarred more children, killed more people and fueled more wars then anything else. U want me to have faith in that?

    I like your thoughts but if you pay attention to it you can tell he doesn't know what's after life he can only live and wait to see what happens when the time comes. But it's too much sin on earth and slot of people that use religion for their personal needs no matter whats the purpose power wealth or notoriety but we forget wars and violence is done in the name of religion we see every sin basically the world has become babylon in bible terms and revelations is on the way. I believe in a higher power but I don't believe in the bible because a man wrote it.
