Your closet clear out method has helped me so much. This morning I was back and forth countering with a buyer and she actually declined my offer. That’s when I clicked on CZcams and your video came up. Sure enough it was closet clear out and I ended up using your method and made the sale. Also I find that I have more success with this method when I greet them by their name and make it more personal. I either get a sale or a response instead of being ghosted.Thanks for the reminder and the help!

stupid question but I thought we couldn't see their name until they buy the item? Some people dont have their name in the username.
@@taylorkrulock2281 if you click their username, it takes you to their closet. Most have their fist name at the top of their closet. If it’s not there, I’ve gone into their “Meet the Posher” and will often times find their first name there instead. If all else fails, you can greet them by their username. I hope that helps!

Great information! I have a similar method that I use and have also made anywhere from 1 to 3 sales using this method. The only thing I would add is that the shipping cost vary depending on the price of the item. For items under $50 it's $4.99 shipping, $50-$100 or maybe $150 it's $3.99 shipping and I believe over $100 or the $150 it's free shipping.

Honestly this couldn't have arrived at a better time! Just yesterday I made a deal with myself to look into using CCO one more time. The way I was using it - the typical way of reducing lots of items and hoping for a sale - just wasn't cutting it. Your method is awesome (I know you said you learned it from someone else. Shoutout to them as well. 😁) My brain just couldn't figure out a better way so I told my brain to sleep on it and get back to me. hahaha. Woke up this morning and I saw your video! I have been really thinking about this Closet Clearout issue for weeks now, and had decided to just not even use the feature anymore, since it's such a pain in the neck to have to lower, then have all these new people like it at the lowered price only for you to raise it again because you couldn't offer them anything better, so this was super timely. When you go to edit the price on CCO days, there's a little calculator next to the listing price. If you click that, Itll show you what your lowest price has been so you don't need to remember!

Hey this was another absolutely helpful video ! Just as a matter of trying to be helpful I also don’t think you need the background music. You are animated and have lots of different vocal inflections that you hold my interest. Also you don’t waste time steering away from the point so that keeps it pretty focused. I wasn’t going to comment about the music at first bc I thought it only distracted me since I’m a retired music teacher so I’ve really never been able to ignore music lol. But with that said you packed a ton of really useful info in this vid!
Thanks for sharing this video again. I've continued to do this CCO method and you can definitely tell what days are CCO on my sales spreadsheet because I frequently have multiple sales. I have to say that here lately there has been a bunch of people that have replied saying they aren't ready to purchase, just window shopping, etc which is completely fine. I try to leave people alone to shop as much as I can and just want to let them know that I will be there when they are ready.

Thank you for this tip!! I just did this process and was so excited…but Poshmark HELD my price drop under review for over an hour and the buyer could no longer see my items. Lots of confusion and delay for my eager buyer that I did not anticipate. Just a heads up in case others run into this. Grateful my buyer was patient!

Hi. Really appreciate your videos and tips. I tried this the other night for the first time on an item I had offered like 12 percent discount on and for some reason it would NOT apply or send the offer to the potential buyer. Do you know if this has to be one of the preset percentages as applied by Poshmark? Obviously, If I'm shooting myself in the foot by having offered someone a mid range discount, I don't wish to continue this. Hope this makes sense. Many thanks in advance!

Thank you so much for this. I tried it out today and had a purchase within a half an hour. I have a small closet and I am bad about listing and sharing, so of course don't get many likes, andI found I don't get a lot of takers on offers to likers, even after trying out different things like you did - waiting for more likes, offering right away, etc. So far I will try this method. It will also help me not forget to raise the price back up. I usually just ignore Closet CC.

Ok so until today I’ve been using this exact method. But today a buyer while purchasing told me that the discount somehow wasn’t applied. This is the 2nd time I’ve heard this ever and feel super confused. I see that in the fine print of the Closet Clear Out it says that orders made through Make an Offer do not qualify.😭😭😭 I have been in Posh for damn near a year and have been using Closet Clearout alllllllllll wrong. My question through all this is how buyers take advantage of Closet ClearOut but with bundle ?

Hi becky would you relist an item if you have dropped it too low? and list it to the original price?
I never want to be pushy, either, so I always say (at the risk of sounding a little TOO unassertive/people pleasy), "No pressure, of course, but just wanted to let you know ... " or, "Assuming you intended to like my item (I do it accidentally all the time!), just thought I'd let you know ... in case you're interested." It's probably a little weak, but it makes me feel more comfortable and I have gotten thank you's back when I do that.

You said that PM will cover $2.12 of the shipping on CCO but now the shipping prices have increased to $7.45 and now there's 2 discounted shipping offers to choose from: $4.99 and $5.95. Does PM cover one or both or??? I can't find this info anywhere. thanks!

Hi Becky, I have also adopted this method and it really works and it saves time. I have a question about buyers who "like" the item. If I want to use my old method of just reducing to price - would a buyer who "likes" the item after I reduce the price get a message from Poshmark?

Right now it appears Friday and Sunday are Closet Clear-out Days.
So if I send out an offer on those days, Poshmark automatically covers $3.99 of the shipping, or do they pay the difference leaving the shipping charge to the buyer at $3.99? Or, is it $3?
At any rate, I look forward to using this feature but am not finding a lot of clear cut instructions.

Hello! I love your CZcams handle :) So no; it doesn't work if you send offers; you have to drop the price. That's why I usually don't randomly drop prices; I wait for someone to tell me they will buy it at my discounted price before dropping the price. Does that make sense?

Finally trying your method today. I usually don't do cco....but i need to stop being stubborn lolol
I have no problem reaching out to people and always do when I get likes. I always bundle and send a private message but never get responses. Dropping prices and sending offers has not yet resulted in a sale for me, I have only been on Poshmark for about 5 weeks. My message is usually something to this effect "Thanks for visiting my closet, I appreciate the visit and the like. I will send an offer your way, if you're interested please feel free to reach out and even counter offer if you'd like. Either way, thanks for visiting my closet." Response "......................................." nothing. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong, I guess they just aren't that interested. I always offer discounted shipping, often free if the item is priced high enough but I get no takers, no matter how much I drop the price or how friendly my message is. Don't know what to do at this point. Thanks for the video, this is my second time watching it. I will try this before actually dropping prices from now on.
This is a great idea! I think I will keep doing my 10-20% off offers right when someone likes my listing and ADD this on a special occasion periodically when I want to do 30% off and it will save a little on the shipping discount. I think the minimum is $15 now though. Thanks!!! 👍⭐

Another thing I sometimes do is, when I’m doing an offer counter offer with somebody and we can’t seem to meet at a price, I put the item in a bundle and I sent a message saying that I’m not able to go any lower, However what I can do is, lower the price on the item to whatever my lowest amount is on closet clear out day and then they would be able to save an additional 211 on shipping.
Ellendale nice! yes; I think it’s all about communication. When the potential buyer can see that you are a normal person, I think it makes a difference!
HOW?? do YOU as a seller " put it in a bundle"?
southernlovely It’s pretty easy. Go to their closet and click on the shopping bag on the top right. Then click on the three dots at the top right and click on switch to sell view. You’ll see your item and you click on the + underneath it. Becky shows how to do that in this video.
When I first heard this method I thought it was not for me. Decided to try it and it will be part of my regular plan.

Thanks for this helpful video! My question is how do you know the historical low price so you know what you can drop the price to? Say I have lowered and raised the price on something before I am not sure what the price I can offer for the closet clear out price.

Great video, thank you! Question-Today is CCO and I dropped the price on a garment after I received a few likes on it. An hour later, I received another like on the garment. Does the new "liker" receive the same discounted shipping? How do I know if they receive an email from Poshmark?

One question I did have is when you are adding things to a bundle(like the customer has liked 3 different items so you add all 3) does the customer get discounted shipping on bundles if it is closet clear out?

I love this video! This will help a lot. I work full time, and I am in school, So I am not able to spend a ton of time on poshmark, but it is my income for college funds only. I wanted to see what your suggestion is for things that are like $5 or less with the closet clear out, I know poshmark takes the 20% out, which is a minimum of $3, but I am not making any money if i discount certain things. I feel like they take out enough fees and the crazy shipping charges I think prevents people from buying sometimes. What are your thoughts on that?

When you re-list an item, does Poshmark still have your lowest historical data on the prices for that garment? I'm new and I priced some items too low initially. If I re-list, and price the item higher will that resolve the issue of lowest historical pricing being under $10?
I was doing Closet Clearout and then relisting if not sold. But it just was not getting me enough sales to warrant churning my closet. Which was taking time away from listing and sharing.
Now if I get an offer on Closet Clearout I will tell them if I would accept their price if it is 10% that I am going to drop the list price so they can get the shipping discount. Or if I would not accept their offer will seen message in the bundle area that the lowest I would go is x and if they want it for that I will drop the list price so they get the shipping discounts.

@@southernlovely8429 I send otl to likers every day. But I also reduce the price of certain items when there's cco. I mainly use Becky's method, by creating a bundle and starting a conversation first, just to see if it's worth reducing the price.

I tried this trick out on Friday, Day 1 of Poshfest 2020 and again today. I have been going through all my listings and sending this offer to anyone who liked the listing. Y'ALL IT WORKS! I've made 3 sales so far!! 🙌 (@purplecabbages) Most people ghost my message but a handful do respond. Which is great because it provides me with feedback if my item might be listed too high or just where they are in shopping my closet (i.e. window shopping, low funds, or focusing on selling atm) I've been doing Poshmark for 3 months. I started because i had a ton of items from my own wardrobe that needed to go as they no longer fit. I so appreciate the help! I'm wondering what you do when the Poshmark user has no listings? For instance, they are a new user, who signed up just to shop, not to sell. You can't share their listings... Do you just search for them manually in order to add bundles?
Hi Becky! At least on my phone when I go to edit the price of a listing I can click a little calculator on the listing price line & Poshmark gives a suggested price which is 10% lower than your historically lowest price which can help you out if you are dropping prices but can't remember what your lowest price is!

I no longer participate in CCO. I now use bundles and send offers through that. I price my items pretty close to the amount I want to get and dropping my prices for CCO will put the price at or below my goal sale price. So I bundle likes, follow, share and comment on the bundle. I say thank you, I give info on how much my offer saves them in the bundle. It works for me every day.
Ginny Newman That’s awesome! I definitely bundle likes too if they’ve liked more than one item in my closet. Maybe I’ll try that in the future - not just sending out OTLs, but going down the bundle route.

What is your Poshmark name?
southernlovely This only seems to work on my app on my Android phone. My iPad doesn’t so keep this in mind. When someone likes an item, I go to the buyers closet and click on the upper right icon that is their bundle. When the bundle comes up, use the three dots to choose to switch to sell view. Then scroll down to see the items the buyer liked. If they aren’t there, refresh the page and liked items should come up. Then using the bundle icon in the middle of the three buttons under the pic of the item to add to bundle. Then click offer at the bottom right. Make the offer. I sometimes offer a shipping discount but most of the time it’s either a deep item discount or free shipping. Then I add a comment to the bundle about how much this offer saves them and if they want to shop for more in my closet, like more things and I’ll create a new bundle if they find more. Hope this helps. Not sure why this doesn’t work on iPhone or iPad.

But what if you offer a bundle discount for your closet selling? By putting a bundle comment won’t that initiate the bundle discount even if it’s just the one item?
