Correction: At one point I say March 13th, but the actual date is March 12th. Here's what's most likely the final video of Fallout Tactics: The Cutting Room Floor series. Thank you so much for supporting my channel and coming along for the ride! 🖤🖤🖤
i demand you reupload this video, this mistake is absolutely irreversable.
all jokes aside im in awe of how you uncover all the information in these games
It seems that the pressure to move away from RPG mechanics came very early in the series' run.
76's mire has an extremely similar background to the tactics 2 idea of a radioactive swamp GECK, which considering how much 76 references the never made games and cut concepts it might not be coincidence.
This game had a lot of cool stuff. Probably the only Fallout game that heavily featured usable vehicles, which I would like to see return.
That kind of talk is how we ended up with The Frontier.
@@OrgusDin I don't think vehicles were one of The Frontier's problems. More like a redeeming quality, if anything.
“Imagine Fallout Tactics in 3d with the same style as Tactics is.”
This was what I was hoping to happen in the next Fallout Tactics 2. As in my opinion, the squad team play, vehicles and other excellent part of tactics is what make it much better than the first two Fallouts.
@@OrgusDin frontier bad shit is so annoying. We get it, the quests and the writing was awful. However acting like the technical feats the mod managed to pull off are somehow bad by association is just delusional. Hopefully the standalone vehicle release comes out soon so you people can stop retching at one of the most impressive mechanical implementations the modding scene has ever had simply for being packaged with a shitshow.
You make Fallout franchise more amazing with these videos. Thank you for exploring this universe as much as possible.
Glad you talked about this topic my friend, I think Tactics is an underrated gem.
I subscribed to this channel not too long ago and man I am just overwhelmed with the amount of content that was cut. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy with what we have but still it would’ve been cool to see a lot of the stuff mentioned in these videos. For example: I would’ve liked to see that sea Vault (Cut content for Fallout 4)
Honestly some of these videos give amazing insight to Interplay post Fallout 2 and Tactics. They really just had no idea where they wanted to take the series and were constantly second-guessing themselves
For as much as a lot of fanboys hate Bethesda it's clear that the series was going down a very different path before interplay died.

Fallout Tactics 2 wasn't being directly developed by Interplay.
Thank you for all your hard work making so many great videos covering the fallout franchise!
Its always a good day when ya get to learn more about your favorite game franchise!!!!
This is actually really interesting. There's a reason this channel is one of the only ones where i rang the bell
I think the Idea of a plant covered City with weird Plant life and massive creatures could have a been an amazing idea.
Fantastic video released just one day after the 25th anniversary of the Fallout Franchise 👍
Next video:
New Vegas: The dead cannot rest until all cut content is talked about
I'm not even sure what to call the next New Vegas Cut content video lmao
Great video
0:26 "lucky shot that time"

I almost missed this one!
Fallout Tactics despite its game play flaws is one of my favorite Fallout games. And yes it's canon Scribe Rothschild and Caeser both reference to Midwestern Brotherhood. Caesar reporting the legion has captured Brotherhood scribes out East who didn't know who Maxson was in Fallout New Vegas, suggesting the Midwestern Brotherhood survived the Calculator and destroyed it getting the neutral ending maintaining some presence in the wasteland, and had evolved to be different than the main Brotherhood. The events of what happened after Tactics for the Midwestern Brotherhood is up for imagination until more lore is added. Would love to see Midwestern Brotherhood and Main Brotherhood butt heads and the player has the choice to resolve issues for either group peacefully or otherwise.
Love your videos, could never actually get into any Fallout games but I find the coverage fascinating. You should have over 100k by now
I love your content, thanks for providing so many vids; I could endlessly listen to info about these games and developers, pure nostalgia and intrigue!
ps we have alligators not crocs :]
There are Crocodiles in South Florida actually 😉
I can't think of any other franchise that has had as many missed opportunities as Fallout.
Hey what's the background music you're using around 13:00? It sounds so cool.
I loved Fallout Tactics. It scratches its own unique itch, sometimes I still boot it up. Didn't know much about plans for Tactics 2 -- great video, thanks!
To me it's the most underrated game in the series. Thank you for watching! 💜💜💜
Dope shit
Thanks bro 🖤🖤🖤
Where's that intro music from again?
I wouldn't mind another tactical action, maybe XCOM-style Fallout game. With all the cool gear the different factions have, even a more arcadey/competitive multiplayer-focused game could work.
Crocodiles are in fact only in Florida but Alligators are in like 6 states if they needed to stretch that idea.
Really wish Fallout Tactics would get a sequel. Loved the first one.
Same. Tactics holds a special place in my heart
I really love Fallout: Tactics. I would love for them to remake Tactics 1 or restart Tactics 2 on the Creation Engine. It's a game that'd really shine in a 3D environment, with a command system like from 4 but with WAY more polish. It'd be amazing.
Why can't I see this video in the video list?
“Imagine Fallout Tactics in 3d with the same style as Tactics is.”
This was what I was hoping to happen in the next Fallout Tactics 2. As in my opinion, the squad team play, vehicles and other excellent part of tactics is what make it much better than the first two Fallouts.
I though it was going to be about 76, someone should tell us the story about what happend with that game some day, its a shame that peoples job depend on not commenting about it
I don't know where the Fallout series would be right now if Tactics 2 did come out, but I imagine things would have become ugly for Interplay much quicker.
I saw a video review of Fallout tactics that included reviews from the time and even then reviews were saying Microforte got done dirty. It's messed up that they made a really good game and then still got fucked over like this.
As a Floridian I love the idea of Fallout Tactics 2, wish the modding community for Fallout 2 would give more attention to the Tactics engine but they're more interested in stealing sprites lol.
I mean Fallout Tactics itself was a half finished difficult to play game, its hard to imagine it was ever getting a direct sequel except for Fallouts habit of trying to get 2 games per engine.
Feargus Urquhart wanted to produce a sequel, but Interplay was facing financial difficulties at that point. It was definitely unfinished, but Micro Forte also had completely unrealistic expectations put on them and were only given a couple weeks for bug fixing.
“A ghoul and super mutant nursery”
Uhhhhhh did they not know ghouls and especially super mutants can’t reproduce hell it was a major plot point of fallout 1.
Fallout Tactics is like the original Fallout 76, a Glitchy, Rushed, Lore-Inaccurate Fallout Game, but it’s still fun and opens up cool possibilities.
Ay
I like the way you pronounce polygonal
Alligators are native to Florida. Crocodiles aren't even in North America.
The concept art is called a croc and there are actually American Crocodiles in Florida
Random encounters in 1 and 2 was great…how can he say they were the worst!?😭
I was talking about Tactics specifically, not Fallout 1 or 2
so ur telling me i should wipe out the brotherhood? based.
I hate fans of first and second Fallout. Whole series is filled with aggressive fans, but the original fans of Fallout 1 and 2 are the worst.
Some of them aren't bad, but generally I agree.
Just rember very mention of Fallout BOS repels the denizens of NMA like the elder sign repels eldritch horrors and you'll be fine.
It's common for interplay fanboys to recoil in pain or burst into flame whe faced with Interplays greatest sin
@@vonfaustien3957
Fallout 76.
@@Idazmi7 still only the second worst game in the franchise
@@vonfaustien3957
Oh no, no: Bethesda *directly* created Fallout 76. They didn't outsource it to some nobody studio with no talent and no money... and they *still* managed to royally screw the pooch.
Meanwhile, everything you blame Interplay for wasn't even made by Interplay. 🤔
Anything for less brotherhood of steel in the fallout lore/canon I am all for, I just wanna see them as a faction completely fucking decimated gone almost out right
Fucking tired of the stupid boring ass faction
They are overused. The Enclave also needs wiping out completely and for good.
@@CorvoFG Seriously, I am tired of seeing them over and over again According to Bethesda every single commonwealth and state is going to be made up of the same four factions, a small boring ass world they’re making, While we’re at it lets get rid of super mutants, and if we’re gonna bring them back I wanna see them like they were in the second fallout game
Or at least substantially different in a good way. Midwest was extremely different, often accepting of outsiders and even mutants. Personally I don’t care if they use the brother of steel but they have to stop making them repetitive. Make them different in a way that’s not only interesting but also let’s you learn that not every chapter is the same. As for the mutants, their story as an enemy to humanity has ended. They aren’t a threat and Bethesda should stop fucking milking them. Enclave is fine just so long as they aren’t the main bad guy. Maybe like if they were a faction you could actually work for and not make them just another raider with power armor.
@@Undead38055 That’s my problem is that they’re turning, well before I finish that I should specify fallout 4 was kind of like this to kind a high degree, in fallout 76 it’s pretty much all this, they’re turning it into a shooting gallery, a looter shooter, that’s never what it was about, it was never about the crazy monsters, it was about the stories and the characters and that’s not what they’re focusing on with their fallouts and that’s my one main huge gripe if I had to only say one, Spend some time to come up with new factions vine for dominance over an area rather than just the brotherhood and the rest
@@hmanvlogs2956 Yeah I get you. But I suppose that’s not what makes money. But like…there’s plenty of other games that sold extremely well BECAUSE they put everything into story and gameplay mechanics. It’s unfortunate to see that Bethesda is letting fallout die as an RPG and making it into a boring shooter looter. Even the “stories” aren’t what they used to be.
