Your videos are getting more clickbait thumbnails recently, please don't do that, otherwise you may lose fans like me soon.

That's normal as a youtuber who wants to put any type of thumbnail as long it doesn't break the tos, also the title is not a statement, it's a question.

It’s getting really hard and when you have a lot of experience you’re outdated or too old and they don’t hire you even if they don’t put that on the job offer.

I am new to web development, and I am learning by myself. I already took a course on free code camp, and I am creating my first project. I want to know, which text editor you recommend to me guys? I use a MacBook pro, and if the editor is free better. Thank you so much.

I am a self-taught and still am learning front end web development since May 2022. I was looking for a paying skill on google and it says web development is in demand, and with just html, css and js I would get good paying jobs. I am now good at these three but cant get any job on them. I am now learning react 😱. My laptop is getting old and I'm scared because if it spoils that's the end of coding for now! How and where can I get jobs with the skill I have so far?

If diploma devs can't get jobs, self taught will get the same treatment. The experienced 1% geniuses will also get the boot if AGI becomes mainstream. The second IT bubble is coming.

My summarization of this clip: self taught programmers are not dead as companies just want competent programmers. a cs degress is a proxy for this. achieve the same by completing projects with help of ai and learn data structures and algorithms These 2 things make up for a cs degree.

build project doesnt make you a good programmer... you need to have those basic knowledge and business logic. cause you maybe good at building a project but you dont know how to design it so that the client like it or useful for handling real life problems.

@@tcritt when the seniors all very busy and you re the only one left that have to deal with the task. Especially in startup, no one will help you design code structure to solve the problem. Yes you can google but that doesn’t mean you can avoid more problems. Being a good programmer not just building project. The more important is the combination of building projects (new ideas) and also deal with real life problems (security, performance, usage). They see how you solve problem, they see how you communicate with the business person, client. They see you have apply your knowledge or not. Sadly, in universities without going through internship, you only know how to build project cause you don’t have to deal with client/business man. Interns also don’t have the chance to handle these tasks cause it’s too risky. But as junior, guess what ho ho, yes have to deal with them (your learning to be good programmer starts here). So building project doesn’t make you a good programmer. You just touching the surface.

Self-taught individuals or boot camp graduates are a dime a dozen. As a hiring manager, I won't even look at resumes that do not have at least 5 years of experience. I don't hire for entry-level positions anymore since I can obtain five years of experience for almost the same salary. Additionally, thanks to Copilot and low code, I can deliver features at a much faster pace than before. So, I don't know where the industry is headed, but it doesn't look good.
