- Just a quick video to show how good the Nord Lead A1 sounds while playing Oxygene Part II. No external FX were used. Those that are used on each of the four parts use the A1's own on-board FX.

Hi Terence, yes the strings are nice on the A1 and exactly the same on my old Nord Wave but overall Nord synths seem quite weak and digital sounding. I would advise trying one first before you buy.
Very close to the original, a little missed detail, the first note (and only that first note) in the lead sequence is passed through a delay effect with feedback only in the right channel which gives a super special yet subtle character to the melody, nicely done.
Always i have a synchrony problem with the part that you play in the minute 1:56... you can share a Midi with this line please? Thanks !!
Since stage 3 has a1 synth engine will it work the same there. Except I think stage 3 only has 2 part not 4 part hmmmm

Dear Andy, do you think it's possible to program these sounds on Nord Lead 2x as well?
Hi, never used a Lead x2 so I can't say. I just found some patches that were close and tweaked them a little. I would think the strings would be quite easy, as would be the stabs and the bass. The lead sound relies a lot on the delay on the A1 to get that authentic sound so that would be harder to get right.
So just to be clear..it was multi-tracked...or does the A1 allows you to play the 4 different part sounds via midi at the same time?...thanks in advance for your reply...Sid

Why does the A1 sound better than higher models like the Lead 3?
Hi Andy, not sure, not heard a Lead 3 in person but the A1 certainly sounds better than my Wave.
The A1 is newer, so better technology presumably, who knows? lol
Andy All the models up to the 2X are virtual analog. The Nord Lead 3 and 4 are digital synths. The A1 is an analog synth. There’s something about analog synths that just make them sound more... warm, more emotional. It’s hard to explain. :)

Your best bet would be to check on Google or learn it from a midi file in your DAW.
