Come along with us in our 290 Sea Raider while we search the frigid ocean waters for trophy lingcod off the Oregon coasts rocky deep water reefs in December using live bait and electric reels.
That captain is about as good as they get for a Lingcod guided trip . He's as good as Tony Spelveda ( Green Waters Fishing ) out of Trinidad California. He offers a long-range trophy Lingcod trip as well . He's a great captain and fisherman as you're going to hire . This captain here is in the same category beyond a doubt. Great job, captain !
Glad to see the youtube channel doing good! On one of my trips with you my buddy and I recommended doing more youtube because I knew it would take off with how awesome you guys are. I went on one of the first trips in your beautiful Raider when we had to try and gaff the rockfish out of the livewell, fun times. Fish on John!
The best fihing I've ever experienced has been with Captain John. We go out at least twice a year and wouldn't consider anyone but Sharkey's. See you in April!
Good to see some God ol boys from home port watch you guys leave from the docks all the time you guys stay busy and I love it look for us at the dock on the ( big splash ) Great video tight lines my friends
Tried this method friday on my boat, The PARAMOUR out of Charleston. It worked great! Awesome video and thanks for sharing the fishing knowledge. Hope to see you guys on the water or at the docks in the future. Might want to pick your brain about halibut fishing techniques.
I have lived over in hermiston my whole life and i am planing a trip to the coast this year and i am wondering what fish i can use as live bait and if i can use them from the shore
I agree they r old-fashioned so they need to fight the fish. It's like puttin an A.I. in boxing. There is no fight, and plus when they where kids a fishin pole didn't have no plug-ins or take batteries. 😢 an it does get boring. There is no excitement. Just my opinion. Opinions are like A-holes everyone has one.
Yeah rock fishing in SF zone at 300 ft & deeper with bigger weights all day long with weights & fighting fish on rougher days does seriously tire you out
I am very lazy, however watching an automatic reel do the work. Unsure but thinking is one of if most pathetic thing i have witnessed in 46 years of loving in Oregon. Not shocking that Southern Oregon leads NW of diabetes. Lol, too lazy to reel in a fish.
Eric don't knock it until you've been out there doing it! 400' of working a pound of lead at depth with 30 40 lbs. of cod comming up is not crappie fishing.

I have fished with Sharky's in the past, always top notch and landed me on great fishing.
Man that looks like a blast!!
I love it
Enjoy your video very much. What size of treble hook are you using?

What depths were yall fishing?
..and any tips on catching the smaller size rockfish for bait? (Or is it just a matter of sorting?)
You just have to drop a hook into the school and see how big the fish are. Fish of like size school together. Find a school with small fish.
So, if the legal Max limit is 36" how are you keeping those large lings??
@@timcavanaugh1443 I stand corrected! I have seen multiple videos with fisherman releasing Lings over 36" stating that is was regulations.
Did ZZ Top get stage sick?
measuring the fish with the bait in the gut seems sus
How would you suggest extraction of the bait??
Don't you think you should fight the fish , instead of power winching it with an electric reel !!!

it's likely these dudes don't have the strength stamina or flexibility to reel all day on fish way down and heavy
I invite you to come out and reel 3# leads with me all day. I'll take you for free just to film it.
