  • Andy Brings (ex-Sodom, ex-The Traceelords, now DOUBLE CRUSH SYNDROME) interviewed his ultimate heroes Rachel Bolan and Snake Sabo from SKID ROW on November 9, 2013 in Bochum/Germany for German television. This is the uncut material, so every Skid Row fan in the world can see, that this band is the real deal! Andy Brings: "To me it was an overwhelming experience! I usually don´t get nervous, but here I was! Meeting your idols can be a dangerous thing, but this was 1000 times better than I had prayed for! Rachel and Snake are truly my Rock Gods, and rightfully so! They deserve all the love and the success that they have! I had waited almost 25 years for this, and it was a mindblowing experience! A huge part of my life came full circle!"
Andy Brings is a musician, producer, songwriter and Rock DJ from Germany, who has toured around the world and released many albums with his bands. He started his career in SODOM at the end of 1991. "When I joined Sodom I was 20 years old. I had no stage experience at all, so I literally stole my stagemoves from Rachel, Snake and Scotti! This is the absolute truth!"
After leaving Sodom he formed THE TRACEELORDS, who played tours with Whitesnake, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent to name just a few. When they broke up Andy Brings pursued a successful solo career, and has now come full circle musically with his rawk´n´roll power trio DOUBLE CRUSH SYNDROME! It was really nice of the guys to give you extra time to conduct your interview. They seem like genuinely nice dudes.

They're not the same people they were in 1996, and neither is Sebastian. They all need to sit down and talk. The fans are still here. We will buy anything they do. Life is too short to harbor ill will toward people who all played a part in their success and music making process. One day, someone from the big line up will die or fall ill and if that happens before a reconciliation, that's it. No second chances. Everyone's still alive and healthy and able to perform at their best. This is the only time to do it, if it's ever going to be done.

Rachel, snake and Scotti are the best musicians and are tight. The music and lyrics created during their first 3 albums were masterpieces. To this day they are and always will be my favorite band of all time. I remember you.

A really great interview! The guys seems really nice and Andy is a fan and not just an interviewer who has just looked them up on Wikipedia which makes it a lot better than average interviews. Plus he doesn't give a damn about what "trve" metal guys think about him, he just does what he likes and admits what he likes (I guess some posers would be afraid to admit that they like something like Skid Row or only call it a guilty pleasure). That interview makes me want to check out their post-Bach stuff.

Thanx a lot, and it's true: I'm a die hard fan and I really don't give a shit! The Solinger stuff is awesome. I just hope the future for the band is a bright one....

Its been 20 years already... I really hope the've put aside their differences when they were just KIDS. They should realize that sebastian bach was the only singer they had who gave their songs the justice they deserve. Baz maybe was an asshole but he sings from the heart and the audience could see that

I hate to say it but they just don't have any musical appeal without Sebastian Bach he may not have wrote the songs but no mistake he is what got them famous

Hey, Andy! Tolles Interview.
Macht richtig Laune :) Bitte weiter so^^
    Cheers

      Hey, vielen Dank!!!
