  • Eclipse of the Sun was a science film released in July 1918, one month after a solar eclipse visible across the United States. The film was created while Max Fleischer was working at Bray Productions. 35mm print provided by the Library of Congress.

    The copyright date is 1923, and the first title card at 0:05 places it some time after September of that year.

      Just spoke with Ray Pointer, the film was originally produced in 1918 and this is a 1923 reissue

    I was under the impression the Einstein Theory of Relativity 1923 film was the oldest science education film of Fleischer’s, are there more as old or older than this short?
