Synopsis: For more than a decade, parents Andy (Zac Efron; Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile; The Greatest Showman) and Vicky (Sydney Lemmon; Fear the Walking Dead, Succession) have been on the run, desperate to hide their daughter Charlie (Ryan Kiera Armstrong; American Horror Story: Double Feature, The Tomorrow War) from a shadowy federal agency that wants to harness her unprecedented gift for creating fire into a weapon of mass destruction. Andy has taught Charlie how to defuse her power, which is triggered by anger or pain. But as Charlie turns 11, the fire becomes harder and harder to control. After an incident reveals the family's location, a mysterious operative (Michael Greyeyes; Wild Indian, Rutherford Falls) is deployed to hunt down the family and seize Charlie once and for all. Charlie has other plans.

Since "The Invisible Man" was mentioned, I'm hoping that, along with this movie, is a sign they're considering continuing the Cinematic Universe of classic horror monsters. But, with the failure of The Mummy and Dracula Untold, I'm fairly certain it's still on the fence.

I actually am very happy with them remaking Stephen King films when they are done right like IT, Doctor Sleep and this looks really amazing
yeah I thought something was off at first since Blumhouse is known for making horror movies but now it makes sense
Doctor Sleep is a sequel to 1980's The Shinning and IT was a first movie adaptation after the 1990 miniseries.
The reboot of Pet Semetary was pretty good too, IMO

I'm a big Stephen King fan, but out of all the upcoming SK adaptations, this is the one I'm least excited about...but it may turn out awesome. Who knows?

This is the first king’s book I read, but I can’t say if the movie will do justice 🙏🏻
Have you seen the original film? It follows the book pretty good. Not exactly, but, that's all SK adaptations.

More like a new adaptation of the book
I mean, most people my age(22 currently) that I went to school with, didn't know about the original IT or The Stand until they saw the remakes, so it's a cool way to introduce the story to a younger audience.
