Wow! I just love listening to this story and bawled at the end when she talked about the change in the relationship with her mother. I lost my mom when she was only 53 to alcoholism. But shortly after her death my husband chose recovery and has been sober almost 3 years. Im glad I am a peace about her death...knowing she loved me the only way she knew how and that was enough! Thankful for this program. ❤️ such a blessing.

this woman's speaker recording liteallly saved my life twenty years ago. until i heard her i had never heard a woman speak so honestly and humorously on so many levels. when my life was tearing apart due to my lack of knowledge about alcoholism and family dysfunction, i listened to a similar recording at least 50 times. i flew from London to LA just to see her when i hears she was going to be at a convention and when i went to say hello i just dropped to my knees and cried and thanked her. ultimately i met her again ten years later at a small convention, on traditions as a guide for relationships. i love every rendition of it and will always credit murph to making me laugh enough to realize i was going to be ok and to start trudging that road. so glad this is available now! i recorded it by hand years ago and passed it around to everyone i could at the time. lifesaving shit.
