Hi Rhonda, Thanks for the video
Pure Candle Supplies is 15 mins drive from my home, just starting with candle making.
I have visited the warehouse and bought some fragrance and pure soy samples. unfortunately coconut soy ran out but restocking in couple of days.
Waiting to try this soy and clearly you have covered all my questions regarding the coconut soy from same supplier. Thanks Heaps... Stay Safe...
No worries. I have brought the bulk 100% soy to which I use and it’s also great
Thank you so much, this video is everything I was looking for. I recently purchased the same wax and have been trialling it but can't seem to get it right!!! It's so different to the 464 i'm used to. x
It’s very different but once you get it right it’s amazing. I pour at around 48 degrees for a smooth top
Your explanation is brilliant and you have taken the confusion out of the mixing/pouring mixed messaging. I am a new candle maker in the UK and always wonder what temperature to mix the FO if the instructions states a temperature so close to the pouring temperature. Thanks
Your so welcome. Heaps of people are confused and I thought a simple straight forward explanation was best. Thank you for the comment
Hay dear Ronda j am from Serbia and we have same metric sistem and that help mi so much❤ yours video is great and j often watch them several time in Serbia we dont have a special suplears for making candle and that make me so sad. Thank you for all yours tips that help me so much. Sending love and suport🥰
Hello. I am so happy that I have helped you. Thank you for messaging me. Have a wonderful day
Thank you for the informative video. The temps with cocosoy can be confusing and differs depending on which site you purchase from. Eroma advise with cocosoy to heat to 80c and add fragrance at 75c then pour so that’s what I’ve been doing. I’ve found it does need to be a higher temp than the soy wax at it starts to harden when the temp gets too low. So yes, you’re right about not adding fragrance at 45c. That’s just too low. I just love all those gorgeous soaps on the shelves behind you 💕
Awe thank you so much. They change all the time as I never stick to one style. I have a creative brain so I can’t keep the same to long
Rhonda did some fancy decorations with molds on another video on the tops of her candles. Really attractive & the candles are nice too, ha! Seriously, she’s a dear lady & her advice is great.
I love your videos... as I am a new candle maker- so you're super helpful to me!! Thank you for sharing so much detail!!
P.S... Just so you know, the cutting machine is pronounced like Cricket 🙂 (that's why it has a little cricket bug mascot).
I called mine a cry-cut when I first got it!
Haha thank you. I always name things wrong. To funny. I’m glad you are getting some help from my videos . Best of luck with candle making
Good to see some Aussie doing CZcams relate to candles and soap . I have been following you through fb group thank you for all the tips and tricks ... ❤️❤️❤️ I’m new to candles ...
Do you prefer this wax ???
Yes it’s great. The thing I like about it is it’s great for frosting issues as that is a lot less noticeable and the tops smooth to. Also the owners of the company are so nice. I’ve trialed pretty much all there fragrances to so I might do a video on that in time.
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery thank you so much for replying back . I was checking their website they have a good review on wax . Luckily I found your video. Yes please , please do the fragrance video as I’m tossing between some of their fragrance. I’m in Sydney so can’t go to showroom to smell. But your video will definitely help . Once again thank you 😊
@@manishashrestha388 your so welcome. I’m hopping to bring out a chat video each fortnight or so but did not know if people wanted to hear it
Hi Rhonda you are inspiring me to try and make candles, is there a reason that you prefer the wood wicks? Thank you in advance,
Hi Kerry. To be honest I love the look . They look so luxurious and a lot of people buy them from me for the wicks. I have a lady that comes by boat from Tassie to buy my candles as she loves the wicks. Candles are great sellers and it adds to the whole self care line of products so give it a go. Try the wax on here and tell them I sent you and they will look after you.
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery thank you Rhonda, I will
Where do you usually buy your colorants from? Can you recommend a merchant for clean or soy liquid colorants for candles and also clean colorants for soaps?
For soap you can use natural clays and i get them from new directions .
Candle dyes i use a uk powder but the AU company is now closed
Hi,
Love the finish of this wax! Do you think you'll switch to it from 464?
Also in your recipe you list jojoba oil, did you add this into the wax and what's the purpose of it? Thank you!
Thank you. Sorry the jojoba oil was a mistake. No don’t add that. Yes I think I will swap. I but 100kg at a time of wax but I have maybe 15kg left. I’m sold on it and will be buying it from now on
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery does it frost like 464? I use 464 for candles and 494 for melts but I really hate the frosting of 494 on my melts
@@paigegray5776 no it does not but I don’t get frosting much at all fit 464 but I suggest that you are pouring to hot of the environment temp is different and that’s why your getting frosting
You are such an inspiration! What size of vessels are you using in this video?
Hi there are 160 grams. Thank you for your kind words 🌈
Hi! Is the size below for your regular vessel or the tiny ones? Thank you.
The tiny one
My regular vessel is a primal 22
Hi Rhonda, thanks for a very informative video, is great. Curious what your experience with wooden wicks with this wax was like though. Have tried the same wooden wicks fro Eroma and the flame is so super low that it barely creates a melt pool. Using 8% lemongrass and persian lime from eroma, smells super nice cold throw but not happy with the flame. Have you had any success with other brands? Pure candle did say they dont stock wooden wicks as they weren't happy with the ones they tested but thought i try my own luck (to no avail). Would it be worth doubling up on the wicks? Tried that with the ecosoya advanced that i had the same issues with but that didnt work so end up only using cdn wicks with that. Pretty keen to use wood wicks though..
Hi there. I have not issue with them and never had a complaint. I always tell people that you may have to light a couple times but if it’s low then add a 6mm booster from the same wood wicks . I’ve tried ones from other companies but they are not as good as pro wicks .
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery beauty, thanks so much Rhonda, I'll give that a go 😀. Really appreciate your advice
@@stcf7554 anytime good luck
Hi, is this wax similar to Denali wax?
Hi there. I’m not sure what Denali wax is. I’ve not used it
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery It's combo of coconut and soy wax
@@RFJrulez oh ok. I do also use coconut soy from pure candle supply’s which sounds the same
Hey Rhonda... do you still use this or the other wax from Pure Candle Supplies?
No I use the pure soy from candle supply. They are both great waxes but my clients want 100% soy. Hope this helps
I have both and I just love them both 🤣
@@16missywoo16 that’s great. They are great to deal with and the wax is amazing
Hello how are you what is the best cheapest website to use for the product
Sorry do you mean for the wax I never look for cheap but rather a product that works so I suggest pure candle supples
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery to make a candles sell them on the website
@@marisarouillon371 I’m not sure if the website for cheap but I use shopify for around $40 a month
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery thank you so much
Mix fragrance: 45-50 °C and pour: 45-55 °C ??! How this can works? 45-50 is lower then 45-55. Hmm?
Sorry I said it the wrong way round
