There are many pros to living in this Boston Suburb and not many cons. The only con is that it is more expensive than other towns not too far from it. hi, my family was living in Newton center a long time ago and I've come visit them many time mostly for Christmas. i have great memories there and I do miss these times a lot. if anyone knows the Kalfon family, just answer my post. One of my relatives owns a coffee shop in Newton Highlands (cosy coffee corner I think). Newton is definitely a great place to live.

Opinion: NEWTON: Sky high rent, sky high home prices, traffic, sky high property taxes, meter maids ticketing like their lives depended on it, rude people, a mayor who doesn't ever finish projects....example: look at the mess she has made of the cove near the bath house of Crystal Lake. I ought to know I have lived here 67 years.
Everything you've saying is correct by what I can see so far since I've moved here (, but the people seem to be very polite ) you probably will have some bad apples here and there like anywhere you may live and go to, but in general, most of the people that I have encountered are polite and respectful. Well, at least in the Newton Center area.
