Today I'm opening up two of the more expensive art advent calendars you can buy. There aren't too many that exist right now, so this isn't a very big range..but these are by Arteza. $80 and $50 each, these are packed with art supplies but are they worth the value? I recently opened a $1300 Swarovski advent calendar which was really disappointing, misprinted, not worth the money. Arteza advent calendars for creative and artistic people are a great choice, even though you don't get a lot of product inside.
Rules for the art supply entry:
Must be an adult or have parent permission. Will ship worldwide however if there are issues with shipping at your end there isn't too much I can do so please keep that in mind! I'll pick one person at random a week from todays video. Cheers!

Hi everyone!
Thanks so much for watching! I’ve chosen @muluavila for the supplies 🙌 keep your eyes peeled for more like this in the future!
That misprint on the watercolor pad would be so devastating if it was my collab. Crediting the wrong artist is a massive oversight that shouldn't have happened. I hope they at least apologized to Malin.
I am in the "can't afford to buy any but love to see what it is in them" category. I love the Advent openings, it builds the excitement without the guilty feeling of cost! The second was by far more worth it.
Exactly
The second calendar was definitely my favorite. With the round canvases you could make cute ornaments and then put the vanish on them so they won’t ruin through the years definitely wish I had gotten it for myself this year!
I think expensive calendar openings have less of a time limit than the cheap ones because there's much less risk that any of us were actually going to buy it 😂
I love Emily Artful and I love how I could tell that was her art work on that one. I love the way it matched the medium she loves to use
I bought that one just to support Emily Artful, even though I'm not a huge fan of Arteza supplies. I also didn't get the little scraper with the modeling paste.
Same 😊😊😊
Agree 👍🏾
I like the larger calendar but for $80 u could get a lot of supplies that u really would use. I’m an acrylic artist so that is my go to! Thanks for doing this Chloe and good luck to everyone! Merry Christmas!
Yeah this is why I won't buy it, I just don't know what to do with guash or oil paint. I'd rather spend that $80 on things I all want and would use.
Me too. Prefer to spend 80$ on watercolor supplies. But i love to watch them opened to see whats inside. But no... for 80$ i can fill up my schmincke watercolor palet. And i am always looking if i find something on sale to add my collection... and always tubes, not halfpans. With tubes you can fill up your own pans and they is much more paint for your money... ❤
The $80 was definitely the better value- it would be fun to use modeling paste on the round canvas for ornaments!
The second one is better just because for 30$ more you're getting double the art supplies. And the acrylic varnish was such a great surpise, I loved seeing it inside😍😍😍
I thought they were 80 and 50, so a 30 dollar difference, but a 50 dollar price.
@@viewbuster1979 yeah that's what I meant with "30$ more". I'm sorry, english is not my first language🥲
Sorry for being pedantic. I realized afterwards this was probably what you meant, but I couldn't find the comment to retract it.
The second calendar is definitely way better. The modeling paste is my favorite because it’s different and to me it would be a bit of an experiment
The larger calendar is such a dream omg, I completely agree with the suggestion of adding a challenge or a little thing to create or make each day, it would help add more excitement to the first calendar 🥰
🎨🎨The first calendar is my favourite and if I was lucky enough to succeed in the giveaway the art supplies would go straight to my amazing coworker. She is always drawing and painting pictures and often goes out, finds a subject to draw or paint and then leaves it sowere for other people to find. I think I might even buy the small watercolour pad for her as they look high quality and would be perfect for here travels.🖼️🖌️✏️📒🎨
What dose she like to draw or paint? 🙂
@@photographyspark4198 she usually goes for a walk and finds something she wants to draw like buildings, landscape, statues, etc. But when at work she likes to put a smile on everyone’s face by drawing amazing funny pictures based on funny moments whilst working.
Both boxes are very nice, but I prefer the second one. My initial thought for the round canvases is, of course - ornaments. They will make very unique ornaments which can become a family tradition. And I really liked the modeling paste. I've never used one but seems very interesting.
My favorite advent calendar was the second one and my favorite art supply from it was probably the mini watercolour pad because you could make your own custom watercolour calendar! I love your videos! Also I'd love to see you make custom Christmas jumpers/add ons sometime
I think the 80$ one has a better value, but I love the art on both of them! I like how in both of them you get 2 paint brushes because, like you said, there is usually just one. I think one of my favorite items would be the watercolor paper pads... I just love cute small stuff! ❤ Also I like how they included the white gel pen.
My favorite box that you opened was the $80 one. I really liked the fact that it opened like a book and it was tied with a beautiful bow (it was a gift that you got to open). My favorite art supply was the acrylic paint.
The second calendar is definitely my favorite, but both are boxes are very lovely. I actually really like that they added varnish.
I think both boxes seem fun, but I like the value of getting double thr art supplies in the second box. As for favorite supply I think it's super thoughtful and nice to include the acrylic varnish!
For me I much prefer the 2nd one, I’ve hardly ever used paint and this would really set me up to experiment and play for a few days. ❤❤
I like the idea of having painting challenges to do each day. I love the materials inside the advent calendar. I’d have fun with the modeling paste. I prefer the 24 day calendar…I like having the full 24 day experience. The second one is very beautiful.
I really enjoyed seeing you open up these advent calendars. I think I really liked the selection of markers and the cute circle canvases.
You have such good ideas to add to the calendars! If you made your own I would love that and would definitely grab it up as quickly as possible
I think the $80 is more bang for it's buck compared to the $50 box, imo. I know it's probably weird, but I instantly pack bonded with the tiny circle canvases. My heartttt
Thanks Chloe! I love watching your videos. Makes me want to try other types of art. I usually do a lot of Zentangle art using fine liners. I do some sketching also. You are always a huge inspiration! Thanks for sharing your art and your fun personality with all of us.
Can we give it off to Chloe for spending millions of dollars on Adevent Calenders?
Yessssss
Millions? 😅
Millions is over exaggerating
A lot of things people buy for their youtube channels are tax write offs.
It's not even $2000 dollars and most of that was the ridiculous Svarowski Disney Calendar 😅
I love the second advent calendar. It had a nice variety of art supplies and the watercolor Pads in both advent calendars were so beautiful with the artists artwork on them. I'm always excited for your yearly arteza advent calendar unboxing videos! 😀🤗
So excited to see what’s in these! ❤
My favorite was definitely the second box because of the aesthetic and value of the supplies. In both boxes my favorite thing was the watercolor pad because they are easier to travel with and they’re the only supply with a special design on it. ^^
I prefer the 24-piece calendar as you get more supplies to play with. My favourite art supplies were the mini canvases because they force you to work in different formats which boosts your creativity, the metallic pen, and the white pen because it’s just useful
The second one is beautiful. The little round canvases make me smile.
Totally agree that this is a major luxury but it is so fun to watch you open them. The second is definitely my favorite.
The second calendar would for sure be my favourite. I’ve been having major artblock for like a year now after a lot of negative events in my personal life and was just saying to my bf that a calendar like this to challenge me is just what I need! New art supplies heal art block lol
I preferred the first one, because they didn't miscredit the artist in that one. My favorite item was the varnish, because it is something you will always need but isn't always thought of in advent calendars or surprise boxes.
I have never had an advent calendar but these definitely open up creativity. Thank you for sharing these. Good ideas for next year. Merry Christmas!
I loved the larger calendar mainly cuz the artwork on it was so beautiful that I would actually just display that as a Christmas decoration every year
The secound calendar was my favourite. I actually really liked that it started with a canvas because my initial thought upon seeing it was that I totally would have gotten that and thought okay part 2 of advent activities is to now add one thing to the canvas each day throughout the month and see what the final photo ends up as. And as it turned out many of the supplies in the rest of the calendar could have been used towards this secound advent project. So although it seems simplistic to say, my favourite element of the calendar and favourite art supply was that it began with a canvas.
My favorite of these two is the larger one because you get both the black and white pens to add some depth to drawings or paintings. I do like that both have a watercolor pad.
Thank you chloe that was fun to watch you open it up and see what you got !
Thank you for unboxing these! The second calendar is beautiful! I think those tiny round canvases would make cute ornaments!
Awesome video 😄. You are an amazing Artist Chloe 🎨. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thanks for opening these for us
The larger more expensive Calendar is beautiful, definitely my favourite 🥰
Love watching you unbox. My favorite was the second calendar, and the gold paint.
Awesome video as always! I liked the last calendar and the Stone Blue watercolour paint
I love the 24th days calendar. But I totally agree with you, about having something from the artist that we could work with the art items also.
It might be cute to paint snowflakes on the circle canvases and display them together. I’d probably be most be most excited about the paint pens. The larger calendar definitely took the win for me.
It’s so fun seeing you open art advent calendars! The second was my favorite by far and the varnish was my favorite item! It was really a surprise and would really make your projects look more finished!
Thank you so much for doing these videos! I definitely agree with you that the Fine Arts one with 24 days is the better one. Have a Happy New Year! 😊
The second one was my favourite calendar, but the tiny round canvases from the first were my favourite item.
I love tiny canvases ❤
I liked the second calendar better. LOVED the artwork on the exterior. Favourite item is probably the mini watercolour pad. The mini round canvases are cute, too.
I just love these unboxings. Love the modeling paste and the spatula. Merry Christmas
Loved the look of the larger set!
Thank you for giving us a peek of these fun advent calendars. The second one was definitely my favorite. My favorite items were the small round canvases. I’m having fun right now drawing small and these just give me a million ideas! Love watching your videos!
For me, the art product I liked the most was the white gel pen, because I don't have many of those lol. And I think the second advent calender was better, because it had double the items for only 30 dollars more. I love your videos, and watching them with my family ❤
Love Arteza products! Thanks for breaking this down.
First you 100% deserve an advent calendar I've seen all of your videos of opening them,
Second I would say my favorite supply would be the small watercolor pad, I take a sketchbook wherever I go so that is a nice little travel sized one.
Third out of the two the second one would be my favorite.
I love the second box, lovely selection of paints!
The second calendar was my favorite, if not just for Malin's gorgeous art. I think my favorite supplies were the viridian green paints- it's such a gorgeous color.
Love the non-existent beef turned compliments :D Never change Chloe! Thank you for another year of wholesome funny videos! Happy New Year everyone!
LOVING the tiny round canvas! Nice review. They used the colors in the package design
Thanks for reviewing. I liked the smaller calendar as I felt comfortable at being able to use all the items without any problem. ♥️
I always love your advent calendar videos or ones where you review art supplies! My favorite box was the bigger one by Malin Svaan but my favorite supply was the modeling paste with the scraper! It's something I've always wanted to try and it's a great size to get the feel of it.
Second calendar is my fave! They both would be great for anyone wanting to try different mediums before committing to anything. Love how many paint brushes are given!
Hi Chloe - congratulations on your engagement and thank you for showing us what’s in the calendars. Agree with most on here that like second one better. Happy and healthy Christmas to you and your family ❤️
Love the variety of paints in these. It’s a great chance to try the products. I’m intrigued by the chrome markers.
I think I like the big box calendar and the white gel pen that it came with. Glad you do these advent unboxing videos, cool to watch!!!
This is amazing!! I really liked the second advent callender mostly due to the varied colors they came with. Also the tiny canvas is so cute!! We could create something lovely with them.
I’m loving getting into watercolor or brushes lately and have been really wanting to try gauche so anything to do with those! I love your videos! Thanks for uploading this, I voted on the community tab and am happy to see this in my feed!! 🎉❤😊 I personally liked the presentation of the more expensive one. Thanks for always being positive and being such an inspiration. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing, Chloe! So much fun! I like the second one best, though I wish the tool came with the modeling paste the way it did in the first one. I like the element of surprise, so I think it offers a nice gift for an artist when you don't know what to buy for them, especially if you know they use that brand of art supplies. Merry Christmas!
I love these advent videos, they're so much fun to watch. My favorite calendar was the first one. Mostly because I love hand making Christmas ornaments and decorations and love silver, so the silver gel marker would be fun to use along with the other paint colors that came with the first box. Also wishing all of you here a Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
The 2nd calendar was definitely more exciting I'd enjoy opening that one if I purchased it. I do love that they gave you actual sizes of paint tubes etc. I think my favorite item was the water soluble marker. I think those could be alot of fun to play around with.
I like the second calendars!! the paint colors were gorgeous
Merry Christmas Chole I loved the 24 Arteza Calendar
Loved both calendars but the 2nd is definitely the better value, as you pointed out. I loved the colors of paint that one gave, especially that aqua color! Tysm for reviewing these, hope you have a happy holiday! ❤
Merry Christmas to you and yours !
This was a fun yet informative video to watch! The 24 day calendar was my favorite, it had a wide variety of supplies. And the 5×7 canvas was my favorite item.
Firstly A very happy Christmas & New Year to you & yours.I liked the second one best as you got more of a variety of art supplies . Also thank you for taking time to amuse us with your videos . Sending love from Ireland
I love all the different paints. Gives me ideas for combinations I may not have thought to try myself.
I like the 80 calendar more, it seems like a better value for the price, and the design is just so pretty 😍
I also think my favourite art supplies would probably be either the gouache, the modelling paste, or the varnish, because the gouache and modelling paste are things that I personally have never gotten a chance to use before, and it seems like a good opportunity to try it out before investing in it in larger quantities like you normally would. I also like that they have the varnish in there because it's something practical that is pretty important if you want your art to last, but not one that especially people just starting to do art would think to buy themselves
Hi Chloe
Hope you had a lovely Christmas.
Love you channel!
I really liked the white gel pen and my favourite advent calendar was the 24 day one!
Happy new year!x
Those round canvases would make the cutest little Christmas tree ornaments!
The second art box was my favorite. I like that there were several colours of paint.
I Love your advent calendar shows!! The calendar is one of my favorite crafts of the holidays. I liked the $80 calendar the best. More of a variety of items and ideas for crafts!! Merry Christmas Chole 🎄✨
Merry Christmas ChIoe!! I watch all your videos and love the advent calendar’s I’m on a mixed media journey so I love to try everything ❤
Loved the second calendar, would love to try out the gauche! Happy holidays!
My favorite calendar was the second one. I loved the art printed on it. I thought that alone took it to another level. My favorite product had to be the Acrylic Varnish. I think it was one of the more useful products and something I would personally really appreciate getting while doing any of my painting. ❤
I love the watercolor paint and the smoothness and dreaminess of it, so anything watercolor based from boxes would make me sooo happy! Of course, the second box was better and I really enjoyed the style of it ☺️
I loved the first one you could paint a Christmas scene then outline it the silver will be good detail. Love the detail brushes. I do like the texture thing could make the tree look real
Hi Chloe,
Merry Christmas to you and all your family. 🎄
Just wanted to let you know how much I really appreciate all the hard work and thought that goes in to your channel and videos. Always a highlight in the day when I can watch your videos.
Really looking forward to all future projects and content coming in 2024.
Loved both calendars 😊
Thank you for being you
All the best
Amy from Scotland 🏴💝
The second calendar was my favorite. I like that it give a lot of different materials to try and experiment with
the paint set with gold is pretty cool! Fun watching you open.
I love all the different paints in the second box.
I like the bigger calander. I think the varnish being included was my favorite item.
My favorite art supply from these boxes is probably the watercolor pads because they are the perfect travel size for painting on the go with the added bonus of having artwork from fellow artists featured on the covers! 😊 I would have to say that the second advent calendar (24 days) is my favorite because it is heavily targeted towards painters just like me while including variety of different types of paint that can be used in an infinite amount of ways! Thank you so much for this video, Chloe. Merry Christmas and God bless! 🎄🌟❤️
Thank you for your reviews, the larger calendar was definitely my favourite and I really thought the round canvas were so cute to paint miniature scenes on for ornaments.
I love watching your videos, Chloe. You seem to be so "real", down to earth, fun and funny as well. Of the 2 advent calendars I think the 2nd one is a better deal and the one I liked best. You've spent so much on advent calendars and it's sweet of you to do that so we can see if they're worth it. Happy holidays to you. May 2024 bring you health and joy! I am excited for your wedding next year!
I much preferred the second box, particularly the spiced apple watercolor paint. I'm drawn to fall colors. Thank you for the wonderful variety of content you so energetically share.
The art advent calenders are what I look forward to the most at the end of the year
I liked that they included some of everything, especially the bigger box. I always need some brushes and specifically green paint, so I like that there was lots of green colors!
I have never really purchased an advent calendar as u said it's kind of a luxury but always loved the idea of getting something new everyday, btw the second one is way more better as for $30 u get double the art supplies plus the varnish was new addition.
