Collins Ongaya what do you exactly mean at sucking at games, he looks fine and just because he choose different doesn't make him suck. Oh and tell me how is sucking at games results you want to betray Chelemintin?
All of you morons don't know the concept of pov. Yes, you all know Clementine, but Javier doesn't. It only makes sense that he wouldn't kill someone over her.
I put aside the fact that I know Clem and came to the conclusion that whatever Conrad's ultimate intent was, taking hostage family that has nothing whatsoever to do with Clementine's deceit, in order to coerce me shows me he is unpredictable and dangerous.
Lee, Kenny and several others did, but not Javier, Javi barely knows clem, it would actually make more sense to "betray" a random girl you barely know to protect your nephew

No I actually didn’t like playing as Clementine in S2 because it made all the adult characters look like useless morons. I preferred having Clem as a side character tbh.

The problem with this game is that players are so blinded by their love for Clementine that it distorts Javier as a character, because logically, he'd put his family before Clementine. He hardly knows her, and she isn't exactly kind to him either. Imagine if Clementine wasn't Clementine, but a completely different character. Someone like Becca, or that girl who shot Omid. You all would have sold her out in a heartbeat, or straight up hated her if she wasn't who she is.
Lorelai M It might be what telltale is going for on players. What if the ending game has multiple endings and makes players have the bad one for always protecting Clem.
It's hard to tell what they are going for because they're probably just making shit up as they go along. Writers are a mess and don't know what they are trying to achieve. :p It'll become more apparent as we go through the episodes and the frail story begins to unravel, just as it did in S2.
Exactly. Personally id still favour clementine in a heartbeat. At the end of the day its the fault of telltale for players still being in the father/protector mindset for her.
Nahh telltale's stupid. No one gives a Fuck about Javi or his shit family. Its obvious everyone chose to stick with clem since she's the only character Everyone cares about. The episode she dies is probably the last episode i'll ever play
The jurassic show think about it Javier barely knows Clementine. And half the time you've known Clementine you were here prisoner. Anyone would do anything for their family
You know, from a character perspective, it would make complete sense for Javier to do this. He is a man that clearly cares about his family and regrets that he hasn't always been there, despite his attempts. The apocalypse has given him an opportunity to right the wrongs of the past and protect his family and those that he cares about. Whether you're pursuing a romantic thing with Kate or not doesn't change the fact that Javier does care about her deeply. And let's face it, Conrad was making a very good argument, we could use Clem as a bargaining chip since she used to be a member of the New Frontier to get Kate the medical care she needs. And then he decides to hold Gabe hostage, and this goes back to what I was saying about Javier wanting to protect his family, of course he would choose Gabe's safety over Clem's, a girl he's known for 2 days and originally held a shotgun to him. Yes shooting him doesn't get Gabe killed, but Javier wouldn't have known that, so agreeing to this plan would make rational sense for Javier as a character. That being said, as a player, I'm like "Fuck you Conrad, we're not handing over my fucking Clem to those bastards, I'll protect her at all costs" and I ended up shooting him. Yeah it doesn't make logical sense, but I, and many others, just can't help it, we're still naturally inclined to protect her and choose her over everyone else because we played as Lee in S1 and as her in S2.
the thing is, if we were Javi in real life we would obviously betray clementine because protecting your family is more important than keeping some girls secret that you just met a day or two ago.
McNips Joel lied to Ellie in the end of the last of us and was that a bad ending? And plus it wouldn't effect the ending cuz it's too far in the season for the ending to be effected
If you betray Clementine you can save Conrad and he will thank you for not killing him in the end... (although you have to be careful - he can die in every episode)
roy nettle Thank you! So many people are saying how wrong this choice is. But it's so very realistic and logical. I would betray her to save my family, because I hardly know her.
Because Javi has family, family comes first, Javi has kids to protect too. Clem isn't a kid no more, she probably has more kill counts than Javi at this point.
Glad Im not the only one who sees this. His wife and home got shot up and ate by zombies for no reason. Of course he'd be unhinged. Heck, Tripp was almost there too.
The thing is that I cannot help but to symphatize with Conrad, he was obviously unhinged at that moment: Come on, the man ahd lost literally everything he cared a few hours back.
@@8ballmoe , finally somebody that had actual common fucking sense whenever it comes to shooting Conrad and letting Conrad live because killing him in justified for hundreds of reasons during the apocalypse.
I actually did this when I played it. But if you choose the right things to say Clementine understands that you weren't happy with that choice, and is forgiven and the story goes on as usual. I even managed to get Conrad to the very end of the game; if you play your cards right.
Yeah yeah she's clementine so obviously this character who has no reason to love her must act like the player People who choose Clementine aren't thinking as their character, Javi is probably more likely to side against her here, whether it's because he's a coward, or whatever reason, Javi has no reason to side with Clem. We as the player have emotional attachment to Clem that clouds our choices, I somewhat envy people who played Season 3 first because they probably got the intended Clementine experience, you have to keep in mind that Javi doesn't know Clem, even though you do. It's like your character having the ability to see in the future and set up magical choices seemingly randomly for the best outcome just because you've played before and know what will happen, it's unrealistic to the characters and spits on the story
@@tacticalace1963 Again, it’s the most realistic thing to do from Javier’s perspective. I mean, would you prioritize some 13 year old you just met over your family?
I dont see the reason for the hate of this choice... It actually turns out to be better... Clem is still with the group and the black guy is still alive.. And the best part is.. You can make up to it to tell the Frontline people that clem is a friend and would stick with her.. and then u get the same ending... and nothing happend to clem and she is all happy again for you calling her a friend.. Seems like a win win to me.. Meanwhile the other ending ends up clem leaving group black guy dying and the frontline people not trusting you at all and dont give a damn about you..
That's not actually how life works: you don't take decisions knowing the future, or knowing there is a possibility of getting back people trust because the programing of a game makes it predictable or possible. In real life you decide to betray, or you don't: that's how everyone who gets betrayed will see it. Clementine is a good person, and even if Javier just met her a few days ago, he owes her getting back to his family, without counting she fought back with fire by his side when his niece got killed, so theres is no reason at all to believe Clementine is a lier, because she arguably wasn't. She was honest when the time requiered it, and she got into the mess only because of Javier; she doesn't have the fault of a thing, so she owes no one. Conrad is a good guy too, and he lost his best friend and only family, and his home, but the moment he puted his vengeanceful interests over all rationality, he became a menace -- I really believe he wouldn't have killed Gabe, because he is a good guy, but he put Clem and Javi betwen walls and swords; there was no way Javi could had know he wasn't gonna shoot Gabe, so he was forced to take a decision. I know killing is not morally good, not even in life and death situations, but sometimes not taking actions can lead to horrible consequences -- Conrad wasn't gonna take a no as an answer at that point, not after treatening to kill a kid, and his instability would have make difficult trusting in him again -- also, taking another decision, as for example, shooting him in the foot or something like that, could have ended in someones else's death... In real life, there is no way Clementine would have ever trusted Javi again: their friendship is inmediatly finished after that -- then you have the fact you allowed Conrad to take an arguably wrong selfish desicion, and then you have the consequences of that decision -- what do you believe would have happened after that? They get there with a 'hostage' you don't even know is really part of their comunity anymore, and then try to bargain with guns without any strategy at all, against a freaking-unknown-full-armed-dangerous-enemy fortress while saying "Um, give us some food and medical attention, to us, the guys who killed a bunch of your men, and we will let this ex-member of your comunity you-don't-even-care-about-anymore, live"??? I'm a person who fear confrontations... I really do -- but, man, I won't say it's coward, because it may not be depending of the person, but betraying Clem is not the best decision -- killing Conrad was not a good one either, I completely acknowledge that, but in that moment, it was the most understandable one to make.
It was a hard choice though, I felt really bad for killing Conrad, poor guy lost his girl and to kill him for such stupid reason? I wish there was a way that everybody got satisfied in the end and that nobody got hurt.
Montana 927 I understand that. I'm a big fan of TWD, but the deal that Conrad made was so stupid, convincing him that Clem wasn't part of The New Frontier anymore would've made more sense. If the circumstances were more appropriate, this scene could've been a better conflict for the plot. Killing someone from your group for such bad reason was bad writing imo, still loving this season though!
Lone Wolf I was in the minority at this one because as much as I love Clem I felt that killing Conrad would've put me in the wrong, and I definitely stood by Clem both before and afterwards and made sure she knew she was my friend and I cared
As a player of the game obviously the only choice you’re making is shooting Conrad but if you look at this through Javi’s eyes they literally just met Clem I really would honestly do the same
Through of majority of the game i sided with clem because she's my lil girl, i took care of her since season 1(well technically lee did but i was in control of lee's actions) and i remember this choice came up i shot conrad without much hesitation he had javi's nephew and i wasn't just gonna betray clem so whoops And than episode 5 Gabe gave me shit for shooting him -_-
it’s still logical to betray Clem. plus I’m pretty sure either way it ends the same way except Conrad is either dead or alive. also to be fair everyone is a little shit at that age. (Also maybe there was difference in timelines enough to change Gabe’s opinion, although idk since I haven’t seen the whole thing)
@@icedchqi It's fair. Without excuses, he needs experience like clem had, to be able to think and be more logical, not staying in the van or inside the walls in Richmond for all the time. It was a mistake due to Gabe's childish knowledge and lack of logic to point out Javi shot Conrad despite he wanted Javi to shoot them while he was threatened in the first place, only to win the initial disagreement about coming along moving a truck. Yeah, accepting Conrad's plan is the most logical, especially if player remains defendant for Clem till the end and call her a friend, she would understand you.
In season 4 or the moment after getting her baby back, Clementine dropped a harsh attitude a little bit for AJ, turning on "Mother Mode" like she did during her flashback with AJ. That's why she sounds sweet for many times in season 4, more cheerful, kind, positive, and friendly.
I mean...they did kill lee off...And it would be a miracle if clem survives to adult hood considering all the trouble and enemies she's made in such a short time span...
The face Clem made when Javi called her a liar just tore my heart apart. :'(( Even if TellTale is most guilty for creating the same conclusions and endings no matter your choices, they really know how to make you constantly weigh what's morally correct and what's physically correct, and really make you -- or at least, me -- feel like you'd raised Clem as your own, and for you to feel what she feels. Poor baby girl :'( I guess even if she were to, say, kill an entire group, even with a bunch of children, chances are I'd probably still rationalize her actions being justified if it meant her sticking around.
tbh this choice is actually make sense, if we look at it from javier's point of view.. javier dont actually know clem., and the most important thing for javi right now is to get to kate and keep her safe,
John Doe I mean it's quite obvious isn't it. Who wouldn't get riled up after knowing that the people who work for them killed their own child? I just wonder what will be the fate of Kate. If she dies, or lives, and if she does live, the progress of her ending up with one of the brothers.
Since Conrad stays to the end and is such a nice guy I think this is the best choice Clementine was too much annoying in this season too, she deserved a little backstab
The only people I can possibly see betraying Clem are the ones who haven't played the entire series.

Why the fuck would any one want to betray clementine
The jurassic show think about it Javier barely knows Clementine. And half the time you've known Clementine you were here prisoner. Anyone would do anything for their family
Her prisoner*
desantis101 I guess you have a point
Well I don't think it was worth shooting him. He was just a little unstable, he lost his wife.
The jurassic show Xbox one players
MetallicaRules its my choice not his bitch
MetallicaRules thanks your comment makes more sense, other people are just booty tickled
Gaming Fiend Ew, that's gross, she's 13 and we've known her since she was 8.
exactly just like radbrad said in his lets plays they make it an illusion that you are controlling the game
Pira I agree. There are options that alter short parts of the story but the story has always the same ending.
8:29 , MY HEART!!!
the thing is, if we were Javi in real life we would obviously betray clementine because protecting your family is more important than keeping some girls secret that you just met a day or two ago.
no if someone had a gun at my nephew im capping them regardless
@@JollyGingerGiant is not it

I didn't betray Clementine because I don't have the game
*Clementine will remember that*

Jennifer kindred where is your uniform young Hopkins? Run along now child
what a stupid choice to give... the only players who gonna do this is to see what happens lol
Zed Lying to others mah result to a bad ending tho
McNips Joel lied to Ellie in the end of the last of us and was that a bad ending? And plus it wouldn't effect the ending cuz it's too far in the season for the ending to be effected

If you betray Clementine you can save Conrad and he will thank you for not killing him in the end... (although you have to be careful - he can die in every episode)

Honestly, if people didn't know who Clem was in the first place (people who haven't played the last two seasons) a lot more would betray her.
Urie!!! On Ice sure would
Urie!!! On Ice That's cuz they should be wise and buy them
Urie!!! On Ice right.
No? Really? Why do people have to say the obvious?
to be fair imagine you were in a zombie apocalypse and you only knew clem for about 24 hours prob less you would betray her to save your family
roy nettle i know right, it seems like its the most logical thing for jav to do since he rarely knows clem
roy nettle Thank you! So many people are saying how wrong this choice is. But it's so very realistic and logical. I would betray her to save my family, because I hardly know her.
yea same the walking dead season 3 is my first walking dead game
Because Javi has family, family comes first, Javi has kids to protect too. Clem isn't a kid no more, she probably has more kill counts than Javi at this point.
guessing by the ending, bretaying her would be innecessary and she would hate us (also that she said before that "we aren't an asshole like everyone")
You don't deserve to call her Clem after what you've done. 😭
Clem clem clem clem clem
I think people see this through Clem´s Fanboy glasses: i wasnt going to shoot a grieving man just to preserve her secret, thats just messed up.
Glad Im not the only one who sees this. His wife and home got shot up and ate by zombies for no reason. Of course he'd be unhinged. Heck, Tripp was almost there too.
I wouldn't shoot him just for her but once he takes gabe as hostage it ends for him. No one is messing with Javi's family.
The thing is that I cannot help but to symphatize with Conrad, he was obviously unhinged at that moment: Come on, the man ahd lost literally everything he cared a few hours back.
Your family don’t mean much to you I see... if you’ll let some stranger kidnap your relatives just because he’s sad
@@8ballmoe , finally somebody that had actual common fucking sense whenever it comes to shooting Conrad and letting Conrad live because killing him in justified for hundreds of reasons during the apocalypse.

I THOUGHT IT WAS FUCKIN IMPOSSIBLE
LEE IS GONNA HAUNT YOU
Shiro Tomori yep XD
Mr. Pig Wrong game, Minecraft boy.
Shut up Mr. Pig
Lee is dead
It's an honor being called Sherlock :^)
I actually did this when I played it. But if you choose the right things to say Clementine understands that you weren't happy with that choice, and is forgiven and the story goes on as usual. I even managed to get Conrad to the very end of the game; if you play your cards right.
Semis Peritus It’s the shittiest moment in the game but is needed to get the best ending in the game.
Semis Peritus
She's my baby that I raised through all these years, I just couldn't do it😂
Barlog weak
Semis Peritus that's how i was planning on doing it
Semis Peritus danm
Yeah yeah she's clementine so obviously this character who has no reason to love her must act like the player
People who choose Clementine aren't thinking as their character, Javi is probably more likely to side against her here, whether it's because he's a coward, or whatever reason, Javi has no reason to side with Clem.
Yea, sure it ruins the story but No one is as heartless to betray her
@@tacticalace1963 I agree but I do see what this person is saying as well
@@tacticalace1963 Again, it’s the most realistic thing to do from Javier’s perspective. I mean, would you prioritize some 13 year old you just met over your family?
I mean, I get what ur saying.
Honestly i'm glad I did this, Clem forgives you later and Conrad becomes a way better character.
I shot him..

I feel like as a character he would do this, because it's for his family. I just know that if I were him, family would be my #1 Priority
Ansixi I would try to save everyone
I dunno man, he was keeping his nephew at gunpoint.
Yeah it's more likely he would have done that and then shot the dude for doing that
Ansixi it's clem tho
Ansixi and he's only known Clem for like 24 hours
"fucking traitor" idk why but I find that very funny. 😂 2:30
No one would choose to side with Clem if they didn’t know who that was. This is what Javier the character would do… 🙄
I dont see the reason for the hate of this choice...
Meanwhile the other ending ends up clem leaving group black guy dying and the frontline people not trusting you at all and dont give a damn about you..
the black guy....
Macho ツ but I'm a threat to the group.... I need to check on Aj first
That's not actually how life works: you don't take decisions knowing the future, or knowing there is a possibility of getting back people trust because the programing of a game makes it predictable or possible.
Barcads I agree with all that you said, except Conrad would kill Gabe, and you. If you don't decide, that's what he does in that chronological order.
Oh, thanks! I didn't knew that, I think it further proves the point!
I mean, people who didnt play WD1 and WD2 might do this, since they dont know Clementine

Javi barely knew clementine. Since players knew her a long time, a majority of players killed conrad . This is the most biased choice in the game

Anyone who played season 1 & 2 is physically, mentally and emotionally unable to betray clem the first time playing.
This is by far the worst case scenario.
Clementine rip
Clementine rip
Iee didnt not die for that !
Clementine i side with clementine through everthing
But it’s how you get the best ending 😂😂😂
It was a hard choice though, I felt really bad for killing Conrad, poor guy lost his girl and to kill him for such stupid reason? I wish there was a way that everybody got satisfied in the end and that nobody got hurt.
I didn't shoot him, I to tried to be as nice as possible to Clem after.
This is The Walking Dead. There are no happy endings with sunshine and picnics. You must choose someone over another.
Your wish is to make it a shit game.
Lone Wolf I was in the minority at this one because as much as I love Clem I felt that killing Conrad would've put me in the wrong, and I definitely stood by Clem both before and afterwards and made sure she knew she was my friend and I cared
The first time i shot conrad but the second time i let conrad live and even tho i love clem Conrad actually turns out to be alright in the end.

I've played the entire series at least 2 times. But I like realistic, and this seemed logical. I chose it.

Tom Lunsford at least no one died. And you would do the same if it was real life because you don’t know much about her past.
@@tomlunsford3802 there is no way you played trough out the whole series 55 times
As a player of the game obviously the only choice you’re making is shooting Conrad but if you look at this through Javi’s eyes they literally just met Clem I really would honestly do the same
Through of majority of the game i sided with clem because she's my lil girl, i took care of her since season 1(well technically lee did but i was in control of lee's actions) and i remember this choice came up i shot conrad without much hesitation he had javi's nephew and i wasn't just gonna betray clem so whoops
And than episode 5 Gabe gave me shit for shooting him -_-
Silent Mochi well that ending was on you 😂
KlutchDj ah its on gabe. The guy is full of shit
Fuck Gabe all my homies hate gabe
it’s still logical to betray Clem. plus I’m pretty sure either way it ends the same way except Conrad is either dead or alive.
also to be fair everyone is a little shit at that age.

To all the people say “who would choose this?” Think of it in Javi’s point of view. It’s your girlfriend or a kid you met a couple days ago.
Clem looks and sounds more mature in this season than the final season.
why?
No
In season 4 or the moment after getting her baby back, Clementine dropped a harsh attitude a little bit for AJ, turning on "Mother Mode" like she did during her flashback with AJ.
That's why she sounds sweet for many times in season 4, more cheerful, kind, positive, and friendly.
im not liking this season. id rather play as clem than someone totally new. i swear im gonna be pissed as fuck if they kill her off.

why?
Clementine is not a bad person
The face Clem made when Javi called her a liar just tore my heart apart. :'(( Even if TellTale is most guilty for creating the same conclusions and endings no matter your choices, they really know how to make you constantly weigh what's morally correct and what's physically correct, and really make you -- or at least, me -- feel like you'd raised Clem as your own, and for you to feel what she feels. Poor baby girl :'(
I guess even if she were to, say, kill an entire group, even with a bunch of children, chances are I'd probably still rationalize her actions being justified if it meant her sticking around.
RynRynRain I liked how clem flipped off those guys lol
+Talon Indeed.
