Humanities biggest strength is love and he ended that love. But the gods punishment for satan at the end was love. It was a poetic ending. On the other hand babylon gave a complex view on good and evil. However, in devilman crybaby satan regretted his decisions at the end and felt the same pain he put the humans thru. But in babylon magase won and she didn’t feel regret nor guilt for what she did. I think the ending could have been better. Or maybe they could have used this season as a prolog and then showed the actual story where a genius is the protagonist who defeats magase at the end. But I guess it is what it is.

president and zen realized/arrived at the same answer where "good is to continue" and "evil us to end". killing the president is the best course of action, preventing suicide is a good thing (he became evil, he "ended" the president). And then ended himself later on. Where author "ended" the series making the author himself is evil. if you watch the post-credit scene and connect the pieces where Zen's wife looks like depressed on how Zen became, you can arrive at the conclusion that his wife herself died(suicide) leaving his son and resulting to Magase taking care of(took) the said son.
