8 more soul sucking rivets.....I've said this in my head about 10 times while watching this video and doing exactly how you did it. Your videos definitely help out. Thank you!
Lol…I’m glad it helps, thanks for watching!
I thought I was over my rivet trauma…thank you for bringing the terror back to the forefront of my mind! I’ll be over in the corner in a fetal position…rockin and slobberin… …
😂
thanks to your videos
i just installed QA1 coilover on my son 84 C10
That’s awesome, hope it went well for you! Thanks for watching!
THANKYOU
Sure, lol! Thanks for watching!
You don't have to "just squeeze the little tabs".. You can use like a 9/16" wrench over the cable and it will squeeze the tabs all at the same time and allow you to remove the cable easily... If it's on the wrong side of the bracket-use a "line wrench" in 9/16" and you can accomplish the same thing.. easy peasy.
You are correct - but that takes all the fun out of it...

That’s awesome, thanks for watching!
Any crazy enough to keep these old square bodies going is cool in my book. The older they get, the more work it is. My dad recently picked up a 96 F150. It took me a while to realize its age. Love that body style ford and this body style GMC
Enjoy that F150 doc!
@@hammersgarage It's been fun! Has the straight 6 in it, but still runs like a Singer sewing machine. Overload springs etc, common rust spots, we plan to fix though.
Currently, it's stitting with a rusted out/broke driver side shock/spring mount.
I remember when we picked it up, I gave it a quick once over and mentioned it looked beyond surface rust, then I hit it with a rattle can of black and we forgot about it along the way. Thankfully, no new tires were popped when she sagged down. Hell, tires cost more than we paid for the truck haha. Proper redneck fashion. "Ah, we got plans, she'll buff out"
Anyway, enjoy the videos man. Keep em coming.
I do video editing also, and graphic design. I could edit you together a little intro clip if you wanted
@@DrMurdercock yeah man, that would be awesome!
Great video! Looking to do the same to '77 GMC, how long did it take grinding out the 40 plus rivets? Is the rear suspension swap really doable over the weekend? Keep the content coming I am taking lots of notes!!
Tough to do in one weekend, but not impossible. Three day weekend and you got it licked! Thanks for watching!
That crossmember that is closest to the cab do you know what it is called because I’ve been trying to find a replacement for it a while now and I can’t find one
I think it’s a fuel line bracket. I can’t seem to find it either. I’m going to see if I can locate a frame component diagram. I’ll let you know if I find something!
have you made part 2 ????
Yes sir.
What is that C notch frame rail called that you put on that?
That was a pre-notched support rail that came in the QA1 kit.
question
how did you install your park brake cable
You can see that in this video, GM Squarebody truck brake line plumbing w/ @classictube5985 kit and @WilwoodDiscBrakes!
