I have 2 and I have been trying to figure out how to make them into rainwater barrels. ❤
Have one in my yard it was here when I moved into this house I'm in. I actually wanna buy like 100 more lol. Not that many. But 2 more so I have 3 for rainwater, and a bunch for trees until I find my Perma settlement. Metal ones for burn barrels and grills DIY projects like this video it's cool you never know what might be down in someones basement in that 55 gallon drum yk what I'm sayin, sometimes you dump the contents in the ocean or in your backyard dirt so the grass don't grow no more aha..... And so now you have to repurpose it or burn it and then clean anything that may pertain to that barrel in your burn pit or wherever you huen it or idk.

I put mine in the back of my pickup that I pull behind my RV. Leave my RV at camp then go to town for water. Also I installed a spigot to make it easier to fill the RV using a harbor freight little pump. I love it! I’m making a video today about it so Ck it out later in the week.

Love the "boat dunk tank" or, as I'd call it, outboard motor test tank. I've used cutt-off barrels BUT I cut them top-to-bottom; didn't think of opening up the side and laying it down. BUT, you now have to prevent the rolling!
Saw the idea for making the drums into a septic system, I am going to try to make one

I have just had one given to me but I want to turn it into a fermenter, but I want to be able to transfer mash in an out, ideally want to seal the two holes and make a sealable lid. Any ideas?

I just found out that if you need a lid for these 55 gal. barrels, you can cut the top off 1 1/2 inches from the top and flip it over. Not a tight fit but will keep rain out.
I used mine as a bass amplification shell for my $50 photive/bugani m90 bluetooth boombox with rear firing 3" passive radiator and they enabled it to play bass tones as low as 25hz audibly. bungeed to a rear bike rack, firing back and away (cuz aerodynamics bro!) from you is a basically a $50 mobile bicycle Subwoofer cannon that Will play for 8+ hours. Louder with less distortion than my 250/300$ first edition Jbl Xtreme. Certain to ruin every other picnic at your next public cookout/picnic. Lol.

My friend made hard side panniers for his pack saddle from a plastic 55 gallon drum.
Greenhouse temperature regulation. Paint them black for more warmth.

I use plastic drums to wash crawfish prior to boiling. I have a small drum that fits inside a larger drum. The small drum has holes at the bottom for water and holes at the top made for lifting by hand. I put the small drum inside the large drum. I fill the small drum with crawfish, I then fill the large drum with water. of course the small drum also fills with water. Raising and lowering the small drum 18 inches or so causes the water to flow past the crawfish, rinsing them.

This will really vary by the weight of whatever you are building. The math isn't hard

Slow the frame speed down, good compilation
BUCK I do that with these sort of videos. I sometimes screen shot them too. That way I can take in all the information in a picture.
Well, you COULD click on "settings" and slow the speed down to .75x or even half speed. Just sayin....

EarsMusic Music oh no, a (humours) word of advice. Never be an adult. It’s the worst thing you can do to yourself. I’m single father of 2 and a teenager of 47 years old. I refuse to grow up. I would take that swing and cut a hole for my legs to stick out of. Do adult things by all means but never BE an adult ☺️.

I just bought a house and in the garage were a couple of these barrels. Having watching Breaking Bad I keep thinking maybe the prior owner used these for meth, now I'm kinda freaking out. Is there anyway to know for sure?

I get mine off of craigslist. The guy that had them said he got them from Kraft. I use them to plant strawberries in. Cut length wise.
Some car washes use bulk soap from them and discard them. Usually pick them up for free..
