What broomstick putters are available? I can't find any on the odyssey website.
Using this style of putting except not pointing lead elbow to target and not rocking shoulders in the stroke. Able to see the putt line better with an upright stance. Liking my result, your results may vary.

I was a A grade golfer and its NOT an easy sport and you have to walk 18 holes and if you have the "Yips" tough!!! The Broomstick putter was designed to get around the stress which is PART of the game!!!! So its like getting a robot to putt for you !! Imagine in Hogans era , you showed up with the broomstick and tried to play. They would have banned you or penalised you for "spirit of the game" rules and unfair play and lots of those in the rule book. Shaking and missing puts makes the game hard for all so the best player cant always win as in bad bunkers and bad bounces or tiger Woods, Greg Norman , Nicholas would always win.
Putter should be up to a length that allows for a players height or just set a max length carefully worked out so you can "pivot" from a top point but have many movements that make the game " difficult and a challenge" Golf, Snooker and Billiards are arguably the hardiest games and i played them all and won when others git nervous and i lost when i couldnt put straight. Thats the POINT. Holding the putter from a fixed hinge on against your body or bellow you chin "legally" is still not right and makes a joke of the old skilled game. Problem is where do you stop? they already have max head CC size and compression of ball so cant go too far as with tennis balls too. They have to keep the game as original , even rules are easier these days and some i dissagree with as penalties are part of it too . Not a easy game and thats the point and why i love it and win at club level when i play WELL and dont cheat....

Two separate paragraphs. Seriously man I get to play once a month at best. We all are not tiger woods. I play a long putter and use a chipper. Quit complaining it's a game.
@@adrianmacklin418 i are talking about the Pro game, if you want to use the BS putter in club games, then its ok although any records do count WW so.....
Also if you have to use the BS and a "special" chipping head, then i simply recommend getting lessons to chip and putt properly and this way you will play the game correctly as it was intended which is my point. If you slice, then same deal, get that fixed and the game will open up like never before for you instead of fighting the swing. If you totally just want to play now and again and dont care about improving, then thats ok, just do what you have to , but like any skilled game, doing it right is so much more satisfying.
being a scratch bowler and listening to your opinion , bowling has the same argument, recently 2 handed release bowlers dominate , more revs, which causes spinning, action , messengers, purist like yourself do not except 2 handed bowling
@@_1ben Well i have tried Lawn bowls and i "assumed" the rules required one handed release? If not ok........ Question is was this the original "spirit" of the game OR is 2 handed lowering scores or actually making them higher? The Broomstick wasnt a novelty to try BUT was brought in get around the "spirit" if not in the rules? of a club having to be articulated by your limbs and any stress will cause you to twist or twitch and you miss the iron shot or putt. THATS THE POINT OF THE GAME or you might as well program a robot to play your shot physically. Golf and snooker/ billiards/ lawn bowls ect all the hardest skilled games require brilliant touch and when you lock a handle to your body or two handed? or straddle the putt with both feet, you make a joke of the rules and the original intent of the skill required to play the game. take it to the EXTREME and Leftest if you like. You can win in the mens swimming so you announce you are a woman and compete and WIN everything and SAY YOU ARE A WINNER!!!!!! Fine, we pervert the game of Golf or lawn bowls ect and call it 2.0 and anything goes. Massive 1000cc heads and reactive golf balls harnesses to lock your putter so you cant YIP and the 4 foot putt is already a certainty when before a 72 hole match was determined by which player could handle the stress on that last putt. Let take that away!!! hmm
So where do we draw the line? Let players and caddies use a 4 wheeler ? well that wont effect the stroke directly but will effect tiredness so YES, it may effect his play.... so allow?
Is golf cruel and hard for many ? YES and snooker is very difficult but thats why you keep playing and getting better and learning to putt for hours on practice greens and those short putts you get 7/10, now with the broomstick i can get 9/10 so cheating? Either we play the game as it was it change it and its not the original game. If you/others are leftest and want to pervert everything, then that will be the answer and at school, "every child gets a trophy" day . Good for the child? Well he learns he doesant have to work hard to get something, just given it so how can this help him when grown up? no fire in him, no passion , no ability to concentrate?. Elon Musk was like this? Very unlikely as he earns all he does and so much more. That comes from very hard work and no compromise. Kids today are given too much and they are so confused and when they try to excel, the left go nuts and all but punish them for being a "individual" going a bit lateral here but i making a point if you follow. Snooker- eg it has 15 reds but that was too hard, so they brought in another game with much less and "easier" ok its a different game not the 15 ball game and thats fine but if they call it the original game, then you dont have the same game and it might as well be "pool where the table and skill level is way less meant for pub drinkers and snooker/billiards is for skilled gentlemen that cant drink while playing if you want to be any good. Make everything easy today, print money, 0% rates, easy loans and look where we are, Aust, US, Cam, UK ect ,all in BUBBLES and pathetic mess out there. all because we eased off on standards and toughness of games and finance. Its all the same. I AM JUST TRYING TO KEEP SOME CONTROL AND STANDARDS or its a free for all. What next? a muscular male adult swimmer compete in the 9 yr old girls comp!! Thats fair play surely ? The Left is quietly slowly perverting everything and we have few old fashioned things left that they cant do and they hate it and want it changed so THEY can play and make a mockery of it.
For seniors in club games maybe allow this thing but the Pro game, need to stay pure and putting is half the game and long pivot locked putter action takes away some of the wobble and twitch ect BUT thats the point of such a hard game. Socialist type of changes "everyone gets a prize day" sort of nonsense is not right or you laughing at the rules of this very old traditional conservative game. If you cant take the heat, you shouldnt be playing and lose . Thats the Game. you cant use other devices and taking away a natural movement of your limbs means you are breaking the spirit of the game .

@@keithsolomon1350 Mega size heads? I have swung a good novelty size club and it was harder , so head size seems to less be a issue however quality of clubs, flex, tuning and weight and balls have added distance but you can limit head to 460cc or what ever they are now and max length as long hitters use very long shafts which you dont see in reg competition? Max length already in the rules? BUT the long putter is a diff issue. You able to lock the pivot to your body or any way you want. I have tired one and it was awful but after a hour i found i could hole short puts without trying to stop any body movements or twitches which was meant to be part of the skill and stress of the game. touch with the BS putter is different matter but with practice you could get used to it. Maybe have normal putter for long shits then switch to BS for those pesky 4 ft's? See how you are now making a mockery of the game. IF sheer skill was only determination of wins , then tiger woods would always win or even Norman before they Fu...ked with his swing, But the mind and stress effects your "perfect" swing and irons, putts, drives all go to crap when you choke and this gives the game both random element and "best" on the day and i know of wins i had, i had to putt and i know i would have won (fairly)? other games if i had the BS as i was so nervous. Point is Golf, snooker are games of precision and bottle and pressure and "cheating" to avoid this just as men playing in women sports and destroying records is just insane and goes against common sense and respecting the game or sport. Since the BS used, they saw putting number improve and that tells you enough. So advantage like bigger heads and better equipment? YES, but diff is , you still have to swing the other items so errors will still be there wheres putting, its just a rocking action no talent needed BUT your body movement as proven misses the putt, now you take that away and that part of the original game is gone effectively. Imagine the BS 50 years ago? No way would they allow it and it would have been instantly banned as a a front to the game requiring skill and coordinated limbs. To keep any game close to original and spirit, some lines have to be drawn. Stock cars have strict rules, No drugs in many sports to enhance. You also have to walk the course as a pro but can have a caddy. Perhaps you can have all these clubs and balls and carts and even someone else to play your shot for you in "fun games" as you only live once!! but for the pro game, if it is to represent Golf as it started, limits have to be established as tech gets better and BS putter isnt a power issue its a point that you are supposed to hold the club and manipulate it with many limbs and take that away to a fixed pivot point, then almost all that is gone??
Perhaps we should also open the borders in the US to allow everyone to enjoy the US bounty too? Let all the worst dangerous people freely cross so they can enjoy the "freedom" of a great country? How do you police "not touching the body"?? his hands were almost touching NOT but almost. Then people will get slack as humans do and it will "gently" rest and then fully rest and there goes the skill of the game and "yips" which stop the best player always winning on skill alone when you remove unwanted body movement that is part of the original game and "spirit" why dont we also allow men to play the stoke to help a women in the womens game too? BS putter has NEVER in hundreds of years been seen and WHY? hmm i wonder? boundaries exist to stop natural humans getting lazy or taking advantage of a situation and skilled games are no diff.
