I love these words and the lyrics but I cant quite figure out the meaning. Anybody have any thoughts?

I swear I'm in the same case as you. I wish there was an entire blog dedicated to the meaning of every single of her songs, some of them actually sound quiet disturbing xD but the music and the voice is always soothing ✨

This song is about the beauty that lies within death and decay and the reunification of your spirit with the universe

I think the song is to be taken literally, and poetically. The singer is being eaten by a carnivore. It sounds grim and dark on the surface, but it’s quite beautiful if you think about it. She’s celebrating her death in an almost wide-eyed wonder, but nothing in the lyrics suggests she’s upset. She’s comparing her veins to rivers and hair to roots, so I think she’s revering and welcoming the idea of giving her body to nourish the world. I think she’s fascinated, and completely at peace.

Great song but lyrics with no meanings.

I think it means that the person is at peace knowing that their flesh is sustaining living creatures. Comparing their veins to rivers and hair to roots, etc, is a bit poetic in the sense that we all belong to the earth and we will return our bodies to her one day. Our time is borrowed, and maybe our flesh will nourish the world. Just my take on things; I adore this song… as grim and dark as it seems on the surface.
