The music of my formative years...a random group popping up in the selection of other songs on a mixtape my friend would let me borrow. Just rolling with that mix tape every day.
They were supposed to release the album icons in 1997 but for some unknown reason it never got released but u could find the full album on CZcams and icons ll released in 2019
By 1997 the quality of beats on the East Coast was on a serious downward trend. So a 1997 album by them would not have been all that great. Indeed, what they did record around that time but did not release does have some moments, but overall is average.

I definitely need an tv one unsung episode of Da Youngsta's(Illy Funkstaz) Would be nice to know more about their experiences in the music industry as young kids, what they been through because they don't get the credit that they deserve as far as philly hip hop and also for people who didn't know their music back then. That's my 2 cents Because I really love their music

Gregory Howard This group is legendary just unsung. They definitely need more recognition and respect for their contribution to hip hop.
@@gregoryhoward5987 feel like every era ends up taking things for granted and realizing how great it was.
@@onlyrog5this era dont even respect the culture, themselves, nothing so i can only imagine & laugh at what "they" take for granted
I see a lot of mobb deep influence 😂❤😮
