When I was six, I got an idea of how to get free ice cream. I'd pity people into giving me some me ice cream. I'd look for ice cream trucks and once I found one giving out goods, I'd sit on the curb and look sad near a parked truck giving out treats and wait for a kind person to buy an ice cream for me. I did this sometimes, and the only time it ever worked was once when an old lady thought I looked down and decided to pay for my ice cream. She bought me an ice cream and I didn't have to pay a cent despite being able to buy one myself. Right after, I felt gross and awful. I felt like a conniving thief. So, a few days later I found that lady, explained what I really did, gave her most of my weekly allowance, and apologized. Even though I made it up to her completely, I still felt awful and I got nothing in return for making it up. I never did it again. Kindness creators do the exact same thing. Every single day of their lives, they lie and manipulate and steal and don't apologize. They still make it up to the victims, but that doesn't make up for the fact that they're liars, con men, and cheats. They do terrible things to regular, kind people, don't apologize, and instantly get rewarded with floods of money and compliments from imaginary people online and don't feel bad about it at all. I swear these people are not human.
I very much agree with you bro - I helped out a guy yesterday - he didn't have to tell me his whole life story I just wished him well and helped him out - not looking for views or fame from someone who is down and out and just trying to get through life without trouble....there's a very strange thing about those feel good videos where it's a good act but you're capitalizing on it with a platform - will they ever give these people they helped the MILLIONS of dollars because they're pretty much just using them as unpaid actors who get a pittance of what they actually earn and gain from those views and platforms...pretty sickening
I can imagine it does feel gross to do kindness content. I'd be worried that people would see me as a kindness content creator if I were to try this. If you want to do kindness content. Just don't. I saw some kindness content the other day and I went crazy over it.
I don't always agree with you, dadio. But..... FUCKING EXACTLY! If you want to do good, don't film it. Simple as that. Good deeds stand on their own. Have he done one where he gives someone 500 dollars after they give a candy bar to his child for free (which they only did because it’s Halloween)? It feel like that’d be a good parody one
I knew a guy out here in LA who does this and offers homeless people a dollar to appear in his "meditation content". When my psychiatrist got my meds wrong and my Pop died he told me it was just Karmic returns. From a family with wealth, obviously. Lol what a monster. Only met the guy because I appeared in his content for free.
I feel like it's all in the approach if you're looking for free food. If you go into a restaurant and order something and then say you only have $1, they'll probably look at you funny. But, at the right time of day, there's usually free food all to be had. When restaurants and other food vendors are closing up shop for the night, there's usually some food leftover that ends up going to waste. I used to go to the little donut shop up the road from where I lived around 10:50pm because they closed up at 11:00pm. They were always bagging the leftover donuts from the day into the trash when they closed, so it was easy to get a free box of donuts or two. Sometimes I had to buy a donut or two in order to get free donuts ("here, I'll give you a whole dozen for the price of one"), and other times I didn't have spend anything. Sometimes I'd have to inquire about the donuts in a nonchalant manner ("Oh, what are you doing with all the donuts?") and other times they'd straight up ask ("Hey, you want some free donuts? We're just throwing them out anyways"). Usually if I were getting free donuts I'd try to buy something while I was there, such as a drink to go along with them. Pizza places are another good example, especially ones that sell pizza by the slice at the counter. At the right time of day, if you walk in and say "I've got $1, do you have a special I can get?", you can usually get slice. I'm not adverse to asking for a deal. I've done it countless times. It was never gross or weird, and I never felt bad about it.
Depends on where/whom you are asking. I usually go to family owned places, so if u towards closing u can get more for the price. But I went to corporate cake shop that I frequent and ordered my regular lot of pastries. The guy said one of the items was stale/leftover from yesterday. So I ask why not simply take it out? "Because it still has to be on the list/menu until we get a replacement". So I ask if he can sell it to me for a discount (he can't because it's against the policy to sell stale items). What about just giving it to the staff at the end of the day so it wont go waste since they get new products everyday? The guy looks at the camera mounted over his head, "my boss would fire me if I started sampling the items without paying". Basically, the policy is that they should throw away the leftovers even if they are edible rather than settle for anything less than the full price.
@@Furrina89 Yeah, some places are stupid. I was watching someone in the grocery store in the bakery section emptying a cart of bread into the garbage. When I inquired about it, I was told I can't have it for free, I can't buy it for a discount, I just can't have the breed, it must be thrown in the garbage. What a waste of food.
