I love how an artist can paint the same kit many times and they all look different and unique ❤ I think it's fun to see them all and wouldn't want them to be exact. And is it even possible anyway?! You do get me chuckling 🤭 😂
Brody looks so sweet! Such a little pumpkin! 💜💜💜 As far as the topic at hand, I have had that happen to me before with two of my dolls. Once was with a Tink I had several years back where the lady messaged me on Instagram and asked me could I send her more pictures of the baby, which I had named Harlow. I said well I have shared plenty of pictures of her on Instagram and she said I know but I want close up pictures of her hands feet and face and close up pictures of her rooting and so I was like why are you wanting all these close up pictures of all this of my baby and she said well I want to send them to my artist so she can make me one like yours. 😂 So I was like well you'll just have to make do with the pictures I've already posted of her because I think that's kind of rude to ask somebody that and also try as they might, even the same artist cannot replicate the same baby exactly the same so feel free to have your Tink made but don't expect her to look just like mine.... so then that person proceeded to block me because the next thing I know I couldn't respond to the conversation LOL so I'm like, whatever.... all I said was I thought it was rude, and that's the truth. Then, on another occasion, I had someone who wanted a rocky by Sylvia Manning, just like mine, whom I had named Isadora. They even contacted the artist that made the doll and told them they wanted one just like mine but the artist refused and said that she would make one similar but she would not make her just like mine because she does not replicate or try to replicate other dolls even if she is the artist. So she did make that sculpt for that person, but she made the hair different, and the eye color was totally different. I just feel like it's hard to exactly copy anything that is handmade. But, that doesn't stop people from trying. Little Evan will always be your Evan, no matter how much someone tries to copy him. Hugs 💜
Hi shell that’s quite sad really I see a sculpt I like and I’ll buy the sculpt send it to my artist to get her version I’ve never come across anything like that….as you know I love Louie and brought the kit but I would never ask for pictures of Louie to duplicate him…..I love seeing different versions….Brody looks so so sweet love and hugs ❤❤❤

To me it’s wrong on all levels to have pictures to copy another artists work to look exactly the same that’s a big fat no no, most probably some cheap skate trying to make a cheap baby look high end. Not even Shirley could do the exact replica of the same kit don’t get me wrong it would be similar but I would imagine it’s difficult for any artist to paint something exactly the same twice ( unless of course painted the exact same time )xxxx

Back after watching the full video, and I completely agree! As an artist myself (fine art), if someone asked me to replicate one of my paintings or sculptures, I would roll my eyes and tell them to download a google image or something, because they’re not true appreciators of art. So glad someone said it so aggressively 😂
Yes!!! Preach girl! It's beyond frustrating and also upsetting when people pull this kind of crap! I've had it happen way too many times over the years and it gets so old and it's just about sent me over the edge when it happened with Monroe! Yeah, all of my no! Collectors need to be able to appreciate a certain doll and then have another doll made with their own spin on the original so it's unique to them but all too often some just want what we have, right down to the tiny blemishes on them, it's so crazy to me! I never want exactly what others have......I want unique and my own. Period. And shame on artists who are willing to replicate their work and you can't tell each doll apart! That's not okay in my book! Especially when an artist makes a prototype that someone paid a LOT for and then they go on and make several after that to look the same and sell for lesser prices. That infuriates me! I will never knowingly buy form someone who does that! No way! I know this was mind blowing to you and I feel kind of bad telling you that it does happen a lot. 😞 I'm sorry chica! Wow! That’s so Bizarre, I get loving someone’s doll but to go outta ya way to “try” & replicate it with every mark is So weird to me! These dolls are supposed to be one of kind even if same sculpt that the beauty of this hobby I think. Some people are so weird 😅 love the video as always 😁

(Off topic) how often would you say is okay to be changing and touching your reborns?? I love cuddling mine and getting them dressed and stuff but I get really paranoid. Thanks!
Honestly if the baby is matted properly it should cope . It obviously depends on just how much and how often you are changing or holding . Bearing in mind grease transfer from your hands . It could eventually erode the matting and cause shine spots and even paint loss . I'd honestly enjoy as you wish lovely and if baby does lose paint or get shiny then ask the artist if they'd touch up for you ❤️
It’s hard for me because I have an idea what a dream baby would look like and if I see someone has what appears to be exactly what I’m thinking of….but I would NEVER, EVER, ask for photos so I could copy. I would just watch that particular artist for other dolls for sale. You will basically get what you are looking for! I’m trying to PATIENTLY wait for my new baby to make her way here from Australia! Since she is also a Cassie Brace kit, I’m guessing she might be similar in size to sweet Evan. First size knot hats or 0-3? Xx

I agree with you art shouldn't be carbon copied it's unique and personal to the collector your baby's are beautiful and unique to you xx

I know it makes them shiny but I learned a tip from a friend-if you take a damp magic eraser and pat it on them it takes away the shine.
