This is a shooting accuracy tip that teaches you how to STOP missing the net on your shots.
This is a hockey tip and also includes a tutorial with a shooting drill that you can do.
This video works on your snap shot, slap shot, and wrist shot accuracy. It's one of the best shooting accuracy tips I've found so far in my hockey career and coaching career.
I hope this drill helps YOU improve your accuracy. - Sport

"Practice like a BUM" The best quote of the week
I was asking myself the same question, and only just starting to figure this out on my own, but you saved me a lot of time... I've already changed my practice methods. Great video. I've learned a lot from your videos over the past year, so thanks for putting in the time.
Im 16 now, played elite hockey all my life and one thing I regret was not practicing shooting in game like situations. Although I rarely ever missed my shot on a 2 on 1 I had difficulties finding the back of the net when I had to use a quick release. Great video. Props AJHL alum and love the OG total one twig you got there. Who cares if they've got signatures on em.
great video, I used to play Inline hockey as a teenager and have recently got back into shooting in my driveway for fun and exercise. i dont intend on playing again due to there not being much in my area and i work difficult hours to commit to a team. I want to get better even without playing actual games and this helps.
Thanks for the drill ideas and tips man. Much appreciated
Super helpful I miss the net a lot and I won't practice like a bum
That's what I like to hear!
This video helped me a lot I have accuracy problems in my games thank you. Can you do a video on how to do the datsyukian deke I’ve been trying to do it on my own but I haven’t been able to do it correctly
As a hobby player, I would say that for every 10,000 pucks you shoot (on/off ice), your shooting ability, speed and accuracy increases by about 10 per cent, from a base of zero.
My guess is that it takes upwards of 100,000 pucks shot, to produce a pretty hefty, solid, and accurate shot. Of course, other things are involved as well. Interested to know what experience other people have.
I would agree to some extend but it's definitely not that simple. The WAY you shoot each puck plays a big role on how much you will improve and also as you get better the harder and harder it gets to improve. Just like anything, the the better you are the harder you have to work to make smaller gains.
@@CoachZac If it was easy, everyone would play hockey!

Let's say your on a breakaway, and your sprinting as fast as you can to get a shot on the net, but your opponent is catching up to you. How would you get a good shot without stopping or turning to move away from them? It's a common mistake I have.
Got to shoot the puck quick. Don't overhandle it. Practice this situation at the end of practice have a teammate chase you and practice making the moves or shooting full speed so you get more comfortable and don't panic. Lastly, sounds like you need to work on your acceleration so that you don't get caught from players behind you.
247 Hockey Thanks Coach, I'll practice that as much as I can. Do you have any tips or suggestions for gaining acceleration quickly?
try practicing on rollerblades and put objects in your way !
Zach, I have amazing skill but I have low impact in games. What should I do?

Isn't the quick release just a snapshot? I'm struggling to get down my wrist shot from a distance. I keep shooting high above the net.
change your curve
Nick Foligno?
How to shoot in the air
You need to practice with a shorter stick without skates on or the angles will be incorrect.
5:04 "And this right here, is like a sniper rifle" that got me laughing since I always joke about hockey being a thing for those that can't shoot a rifle 😂
Here after I broke the neighbors fence
Lets see some dekes
“you can’t score if you hit the net”
