  • “Happily Ever After,” a new nighttime spectacular that will combine the magic of Disney storytelling, beloved Disney characters, fireworks and so much more, will debut at Magic Kingdom Park on May 12.
The spectacular will inspire guests to seek out and find their own “Happily Ever After” by showcasing some of the greatest adventures Disney characters have taken to achieve their dreams. The show will feature the latest fireworks and pyrotechnics and original animation, plus a heart-tugging original score. And thanks to the inclusion of state-of-the-art projection mapping technology, more Disney characters than ever before will be featured in the show, including moments from “Moana,” “Brave,” “Big Hero 6,” “Zootopia,” “The Princess & The Frog,” “Aladdin” and many others.
Speaking of music, the show will feature a brand-new theme song titled “Happily Ever After,” a song that encourages us to dream our biggest dream possible and to never give up. The duet is sung by country music artist Angie Keilhauer and singer Jordan Fisher, whom you may recognize from the “Moana” soundtrack or the 2016-winter 2017 cast of Broadway’s “Hamilton.”
The Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace will continue to offer up a scrumptious way to view the nighttime fun as “Happily Ever After” makes its debut.
The news of a replacement fireworks show is sure to disappoint a lot of longtime Walt Disney World fans, as Wishes! has enjoyed nearly a 15-year run, and was the first modern fireworks ‘spectacular’ at Walt Disney World. The last performance of Wishes! will occur on May 11, 2017, so prepare to say goodbye before then if you want to see it one last time.

Yet Wishes! was an amazing show I thought was imposible to be improved, I have to say that Happily ever after is even better; I think is the most amazing and emotive show in a theme park around the world. It is unforgotable.

The lasers aren't modern. They're more like a throwback. The castle is stunning

I liked Wishes, but this is just as good, if not better. I do prefer Celebrate the Magic over the new projection show, though.

Sounds like a remake of the music from Disneyland Paris' 15th anniversary.

I Have to politely disagree. This show seems to have more fireworks and effects and looks like it will have an even better story. While "Wishes!" was a great show and had a great message, I honestly think this one will be better. Things must change in order for the future to happen and Disney is no exception to that.

love13456 it is worthless, ever since 2015 Disney has just been rolling downhill, remember streets of America, thanks to star wars it's gone!

I can't believe you like building facades better than a totally new, interactive land in a theme park

marc scheepers I'm just not a star wars fan period. I miss lights motors action and the backlot tour and Osbourne dancing lights, how do you think star wars will celebrate Christmas,by launching a projected ship?

Go watch happily ever after it was amazing. I'm not the biggest fan of star wars but I'm excited to see what they will do with it. I love Disney World and have been going ever since I was little. As much as I love it as it was when I was little I'm glad it's changing. Disney has great new tech that they're putting to good use and are incorporating things that haven't really been in the parks before (especially this show.) I know Disney has made some mistakes in the past but I think a lot of the stuff they've done lately has been really amazing. Please don't hate on something before you've even seen it just because it's replacing something that you really loved, because it gives you a chance to see something new and make new memories. If the parks stayed the same forever I feel like they would eventually stop being special no matter how great your memories there are...
