    8-19-2024 this worked on my wife’s 2013 Cadillac Srx! She had to jump start her car twice in one day cause the battery went bad. Long story short the center screen/controls/steering wheel went black and this trick fixed issue after I installed new battery of course. Thanks for the video, I was trading it in if it didn’t fix it lol.

    Thank you SO much for this video! I did this last night on my 2016 Cadillac ATS, and it fixed my screen. I had called the dealership a few days ago, and they quoted me $1,100 to fix it. You saved me so much money!

    2013 Cadillac ATS just got back from dealership to change serpentine belt and run diagnostic on my ac. Car stalled at first light and dash light flashed. Car turned back on but I drove home without AC. When I got home I turned AC on and notice my ac didn’t want to sync. I turned car of and on again and then my cue was blacked out but I could control fan speed.
    Found your video and disconnect just the negative for a few minutes and connected back up. Turned the car back on and cue is working again.
    You sir are the real MVP!
    The dealership not so much. Don’t know what they did to my car.

After I cleared that with remote lock/unlock and got in and started the car, the screen in front of the driver prompted me to lower and raise both the driver's and passenger's windows. @@michaelhernandez14 yes give it another try and when you disconnect the Battery turn on the lights so they drain all electricity from the system. Wait a minute or 2 and try again. Shouldn't have to wait that long but just incase. If it still doesn't work try your radio fuse. Make sure it's still good. If it is, might be something else. Maybe the unit has gone bad? Not sure but try there first

    I got a 2006 sts with a navigation radio that’s doesn’t wanna turn on. I can insert discs in but can’t take them out and the screen still tilts on it’s own. I can also hear the fans inside it spinning and noises coming from the navigation radio. My steering wheel buttons also seem to not work such as my heated steering wheel option or if I wanted to accept a call. I heard that doing a reset might work only thing is that I’ve already disconnected the battery for over 5 min and nothing changed. My question is do I have to leave it off for a few more minutes and will doing so cause damage ?

    • @559powerscape
      @559powerscape  Před 3 lety

      No it won't cause any damage. Maybe the unit it self it's bad. You can try leaving it disconnected for 30min. Turn on the headlights after disconnecting so the lights drain what ever electricity is left in the system...turn them off after 30min connect the battery and try again

    • @559powerscape
      @559powerscape  Před 4 lety

      What I did to this vehicle was discharge the system from any electricity source...disconnect the negative cable turn on the headlights for 30 seconds to drain the system. Turn off the lights then connect the negative cable back to the battery and try again see if that works....someone just told me that a bad battery could cause this too! Might want to take it to autozone or a automotive store so they can check the life of the battery ... Good luck! Thank you for your SUPPORT!

      @@brandonrhodes5789 the battery is located in the trunk. Just disconnect the negative cable then turn on your head lights for a good minute. Then turn off the headlights and connect the battery back. That should drain all of the electrical from the system. Then when you plug in the battery try again and see if that worked. Good luck buddy!

    This did work but only for about 24 hours, it went out again and my car lags at start up for a bit. I was hoping for a quick fix but after checking the connectors, replacing the radio/display fuses, checking the voltage on my battery and alternator, I have exhausted all option but to pay the $150 diagnostic for my dealership to find the problem :( My screen works in reverse just not in park or drive including the lights to the buttons on the steering wheel.

    • @559powerscape
      @559powerscape  Před 4 lety

      I'm sorry your having all these problems but if its struggling to start up and the battery is good it souds like a connection issue. I've experienced the battery Terminals dirty and my car wouldn't start. The battery was at 12v and the terminals at 9v...cleaned the Terminals and solved the problem. I've also experienced a slow start up...i did the big three upgrade and it fixed that issue as well. All you do is connect a 2gauge wire or 0 gauge wire from the alternator to the battery. Another wire from the case of the alternator to the negative terminal. And a third from the alternator case to the chassis of the car. That gives ALL THE ELECTRONICS the power it needs to run all full capacity.
