    I’m seeing your video 6 years later and like you said the truck accelerates on its own when you have an automatic transmission… I’ll replace the TPS and hopefully it will fix this issue (replaced IAC and connector, still the same but no more p0508)

    You solved my problem for my an '04 Jeep Liberty 3.7L, and saved me the hassle of of running down a rabbit hole. It was the TPS. Got the part from NAPA and no screws so had to use the old screws which are Loctite in place. You should run the engine to operating temp before attempting to remove the old screws because they are Loctited at the factory and you need the engine heat to soften the old gunk on the screws. I got the screws out and reattached the TPS with old screws and fresh blue Loctite. Thanks, keep up the good work.

    Good job,most people don't understand the IAC and TPS work together,common mistake,good job though,you can test the TPS on the vehicle with a Meter or your scan tool saves a lot of time,it won't throw a code most of the time that's what makes it a pain,lol....

    Holly Cow! A good nail job is super handy! Man I'm envious, I struggled with those connectors. LOL Great Job! It also sounds like your AC blower motor is going bad or hitting something

      Well in all fairness most women probably do "Know" more than us guys,, but it is indeed really attractive when they have accurate mechanical knowledge or know how.

    What side of that throttle paddle should it be on when you put it back together? Does it matter?

    Does it matter which terminal you unhook? The positive or the negative, is one better (safer) than the other?

    • @HappyHands.
      @HappyHands. Před 6 lety

      Its actually best to remove both. This limits the possibility of accidentally creating a circuit .

    • @michaelm3683
      @michaelm3683 Před 4 lety

      Negative has less spark

    • @reginaldbowls7180
      @reginaldbowls7180 Před rokem

      Just remove the negative. Electrons travel from the negative terminal not the positive.

    Hey l ran out of gas in my 2001 dodge dakota 4.7 magnum. Put gas in it and it wouldn't stay crunk. The RPM would drop and truck would shut down. Put a brand new fuel pump on it. Still won't start . You think my problem is the IAC????

      I would check the fuel filter as well. You run out of gas it will pull the crap from bottom of tank.
