- English subtitles coming soon. This short film originally debuted at the Tezuka Kyoto Anime Theatre on July 20, 2001. For the longest time, this short was only available to view at that single theatre, but it was finally released on DVD in 2015.

Really wish secret of atom's birth was released to dvd. I belive atom in this is played by Mari Shimizu (the original voice of atom since the 63 anime)'s daughter.
Funny that this is from 01, as this these short films where seemingly backdoor pilots for the eventual 2003 anime, as they share the same cast & designs.
This pretty much the first actual high quality version of this short film, the only thing it needs is the english subs
And I just wanna say that the part at 3:06 is really sweet, of course the ending was still really good also

7:35 its yuko also ochanomizu robitta appear as the they look in the 2003 shibubaki tamao kenichi tawashi but look différentes than what they would later in 2003 anime chief nakamura which did not appear in 2003 anime is also there considering that the 2003 was still in developpement around that time its make sense maybe nakamura was going to be the 2003 anime but was scrapped later.
