Holy sh*t Obed....SO flexible with 7. can put everything imaginable into it, while saying SO much in the convo. Playful, imaginative, genius playing with this group...nearly impossible to recreate (unless in a group at this level). I'm both depressed, and overjoyed!

Mike's chordal playing at the beginning is unbelievable.
Nice to hear these guys play a standard. Mike's writing I kind of dig but I could never get into Will's super intellectual writing with such complexity, not so accessible, even to musicians. Probably more fun to try and play than to listen to. I love his sound, he's great, I'd just rather hear him and most guys play over standards. An interesting composer is a rarity these days in Jazz even though everyone and their mother is one.

The drums ruined it for me. They can all play great obviously but ensemble playing dictates to be sensitive and be in the background when others are soloing rather than just ploughing on.
i found mike moreno a bit out of place....
