ALL OF OUR LUMBER IS PURCHASED AT MENARDS, A MIDWEST HARDWARE CHAIN. FOR THESE VIDEOS, WE ARE GENERALLY USING STANDARD PINE BOARDS. YOUR PRICES WILL VARY DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU SHOP AND THE TYPE OF WOOD YOU SELECT. - Jak na to + styl
MUY buena calidad, el texto imagenes. czcams.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO Un manuel muy completo y trabajado. Resulta muy práctico. Para principiantes y profesionales. Lo recomiendo
I love that your videos are so easy to understand. I'm great at putting puzzles together and they read like a puzzle and not building furniture (which scares me).
The Rehab. I just love love love all of your creations. I am getting ready to make the pipe wall shelf this weekend and next a Head board. Thank you so much for all your work please keep it up. Thank you Lydia Johnson from Chicago
Skipped the hardest part...attaching it to a tiled wall....lots of holes , anchors, a good tile drill bit, careful spacing and driilling
Lq
Would have been awesome to see how you attached the shelving to the tiled wall 👍
hi guys, I'm live in Iran and your video very useful for our family economy.
thanks for helpful videos.
Thanks for watching, glad our videos could help!
Hello to Iran!
I absolutely love this look. I had cabinets installed in a rental property but the space just above the stove I decided to install shelves and stain the same color as the cabinets. I'd paint my pipes white b/c of the appliances. This is gorge.
That sounds great! Thanks for watching!
Just discovered your channel and I love it so much. You guys make DIY projects seem manageable for a beginner like me :)
Thanks for watching!
You need a stage & cameras following you around! We're in the middle of remodeling an attached in-law apartment into a master bedroom & I was pulling my hair out until I came across your channel (while at work 😅) You are amazing girl! Y gracias for all the inspiration!! 3:28
Looks really nice!!
love your projects!!!
Love u guys when I buy a house I'm building all these projects
Looks great!!
Nice job.
Love yr vedios.
I think u simplify the projects so anyone can do it.
Nice job.
Love yr humor to.
Wish u was my wife.
Cute dog to. God bless.
Keep doing u. XO
Great video. Succient & easy to understand.
Shelves look great! Exactly what I was going to order off of Amazon! Now I can make them myself! I would have liked to have seen how to install on the tile wall. Drilling through tile makes me nervous!
You can just get a drill bit specifically meant for tile and you won't have a problem!
$20??? All my materials were 60$ without wood
NYBwilk yeah the same happen to me is fake! But I like lol
Buy in bulk
so not 20.00 the flanges alone are 5 bucks a piece
If you look on amazon you’ll find a lot of things at a cheaper price.
The cost of this shelf is definitely misleading. Just the 2 galvanized pipes, flanges and end caps cost over $20. The materials for my 2 shelves (2x8x24) ran nearly $60 as well.
Love this!
I wish I had those tools to make it 😭. I love it! 3:22
your works are beautiful , just like you.....
Pretty cool!
Really, really well done! 1:15
Say what you want, but that is one cool little dog...keep him in every video
Wow shes beautiful and useful.
Love it. 😍 You just earned a new subscriber. 😊
They look great!
Super channel, i love your ideas ...very creative, Best Regards...
well done, thank you for sharing this with us.
Awesome thanks!!
Great video!!
if i may say so...screw into studs and avoid using anchors...seen so many accidents and damages clinging off the wall once screwed anchors lose hold. Just saying...love this project though
Problem with most people is that:
1. they have no clue where the stud is at if it’s tiled up
2. The studs don’t line up perfectly from one end to the other for proper centering ... most of the time the studs are off
Just a tip if you use wood conditioner your board will take the stain much better :)
Not sure where you guys are, but the 2 flanges, pipes and caps, are over 30 bucks here at Home Depot. Cool project, thanks.
Wow. Just awesome and so nice to look at on my wall! Thank You!
you didn't show how you put the shelf on that tiled wall!
Ashley Bailey-Feaster
You
i will screw the pipes in the wall before adding shelf so i can use all 4 screws
greg0716 Agreed.
greg0716 Exactly. I would also cut my board and stain after wall mounts where established, to keep things centered.
Awesome
Other than painting the pipes am liking the shelf. I would like to take. Out my wall cardboard and do this. But am wonder what is the max length you can do on these. Should I add another row or 2 of the support pipe
Tnx for sharing your talent... Nice one👍👍👍 1:28
I love it! I would like to make shelving in my rental for my microwave and coffee pot...the K😏. Could you give me some guidance on how to begin. I'd truly appreciate it. Thank you. OneLove.
Not $20 for sure, and not the best way to spray paint. Do each piece individually, and do it outside. Hang the pipe first so it's easier to secure and level, then attach the board.
Great channel you just got a new subs
Thanks for subscribing!
I agree with Shawnee... Although this time the girl did the work, she's pretty! I almost didn't notice the music... Almost.
Love them!
Love the music!
I love your projects, but have not seen a closet for clothes. Can you please make one ? Thanks in advance.
I like this vidéo juste i like you thanks you
You have to show complete video on how you hanged that into tiles it will be good to learn for beginners
The second half of one of our other videos explains how:
czcams.com/video/YCmNwQAO8HQ/video.html
Always love the Vids. Thanks!
So you left out one of the most important steps 🙄...with those flanges it would have been easier to mount it first then screw in the pipes.
Lindos seus trabalhos..só vejo um pouco de dificuldade de encontrar todos os materiais embora são poucos .são sem substituições.
1. Find your wall studs & use that (16" on center) measurement to space your pipes.
2. Dont paint the galvanized
3. Use reclaimed lumber to save distressing
4. Don't attach end caps so you can attach the pipe fittings to the wall studs THEN slide your shelf onto the pipes & screw on end caps.
5. You're welcome
Nice I love it, but what size wall anchor to use?
What grit of sandpaper did you use? I'm in the middle of this project and not sure which grit is best for unfinished wood. TIA!
Would have been nice to see how you got it on the wall! Looked kinda ass backwards the way you did that. My guess is it was very difficult to get on the wall, that’s why you didn’t show it.
Love your videos. So easy to follow. Where can I get those galvanized pieces cheap? I went to my local hardware store (Home Depot) and the flanges were $7.32 each. This project would be really pricey especially if I want 3 shelves.
Here are some options on Amazon for cheaper 1/2" flanges: amzn.to/2IcIfbe
I am giving it a shot tomorrow, but has anyone used this technique but wrapped the plumbing in with wood to give a floating look?
What type of stain is that? And is that pine wood? I’m going to Home Depot soon and is love to put that on my list specifically
Your vids are awesome but you skipped the most important part. Kind of disappointing
Then the videos are not 'awesome' are they? If someone shows you a cake, starts a recipe, and leaves out the final part, you cannot use that recipe, can you? Why would you call it 'awesome' if they posted a fake video? Give credit where due.
Should have put the flanges at 16" apart. To line up with studs
how did you anchor it to the wall
Hello, as many people asking the same question, can you please suggest what's the colour of stain?
Q lindo me gusto
The Rehab I forgot to say. I love that music. I believe that I can get it done with it. Who the group? Lydia Johnson from Chicago
It's Melodic Hip Hip by Micrah
Nice wee project. Did u in the end take the pipes off the wood again to reach the four screw holes or was it loose enough to turn to get at?
Does anyone have a response to Andy's question? I just finished the prep work and trying to figure out how to get all 4 screws of the phalanges into the wall. Thanks!
We sell that dame vinyl flooring at the flooring store i work at
cool video. the music gets tiring after watching five of them tough! did you DIY your tile? would love to know more.
Not sure how you would hang it up, when you blocked some of the holes. I would have mounted the flange first then everything else.
Great video...For the love of God please get an orbital sander.Maybe Santa will put one in your stocking.
With those 12" pipes you used, is there 12 inches clearance with the bracket and end portion attached or is that the length of the pipe with nothing on it. ?? Thanks
I really love the design. But I was wondering, if I attach the shelf to 2 studs, would it be strong enough to hold 20 pounds???
Isa Maria yes if you attach to studs
are you able to make an L shaped mini bar video Please!!!
I would like to know where you got your materials from. I went today and for one shelf (for just the hardware) I’m looking at almost 50.00 a shelf not including the wood, or spray paint.
There are links to the piping in the video description.
I need this man in my house..... 2:13
I live it oooh my gosshh :-). Thanks for the tutoríal. ;-)
What kind of paint are you using? Doesn't paint usually interact with the galvanized metals?
Thats iron pipe you moron.
I'm just curious how exactly you screwed it into that tile
There are certain drill bits that are made especially for drilling into tile.
Thats a lot of weight for wall anchors in sheetrock.
Didn’t say the size of wall anchor.
She hired somebody to do it for her. Besides, you mount the pipes to the wall first before attaching them to the board. Just a hollywood-isq made up fake drama.
bom dia muito oque faz seria bom ter uma bancada de trabalho ficaria melhor
Idk but I bought the exact materials and it cost me $115 for 2 shelves. Doubt it would have cost me $20 just for one.
Can't count the poly, stain, paint and brushes... They probably had it lying around.
blukorr do you know what type of stain that is?
I agree. I bought enough for 3 shelves, used 10% discount, and still was paying $99.
The $20 they're saying is a little misleading.
Now at some point all dishes will fall down with those shelves 😂
yes yes yes
`Wall anchors? Could you not make the shelves fit the spacing between studs? You cannot use drywall plastic anchors for such heavy shelves loaded with heavy plates. You skipped the most important part - showing how you attached shelf stands to wall.
Here is how to attach shelves to the tiled wall:
1. The tile is ceramic and only 1/4" thick. Behind the tile is a thin layer of thinset mortar (tile cement paste), then a backerboard (cement type board), then drywall (plaster sandwiched between cardboard). None of these materials have the tensile strength to hold up a heavy shelf, with heavier dishes on it. You cannot just put some flimsy plastic anchors and screws, it will fail immediately upon loading. All dishes will break! Very shallow DIY.
2. Get a stud finder. A good one costs $40 at Home Depot. Do not buy this online. Cheap ones are useless. This will come in handy every time you hang a picture, so good investment.
3. Using stud finder along the wall, set to DEEP SCAN, find the studs behind the tile and mark them. New houses is 12" on center. Old vintage houses is 16" on center. Spend time doing this step correctly, no rush.
4. Buy a masonry drill bit big enough for a size 8 or 10 screw. This size refers to the diameter of the screw. Length depends on how many materials this is going to penetrate before it hits the wood stud behind the tile, backerboard, drywall, wood stud (column).
5. Using a hammer drill or regular drill set to hammer function, and your special masonry drill bit, drill a hole slightly into the stud, not all the way in. When the screw passes through it should have some traction on the wood stud. A hammer drill action does a bit of hammering while it also rotates, so you have two motions during drilling. This helps the drill bit penetrate masonry. Masonry drill bits and hammer drill is also very useful for making holes in ceramic pots (drip some water as you are drilling), and into concrete walls to hang plants.
6. Fill holes with Loctite Power Grab construction glue, then screw in the rod flanges. I like this better than Liquid Nails but its very similar. This cushions the screw and gives it more strength.
7. The large round flange is not ideal for tile mounting. You will stress out the tile with 3 holes in each tile! The screws are so spread out that they may miss the stud behind and go past. This is okay for wall mounting but technically difficult for tiled walls. Not sure what these folks did as it was not explained.
8. Note: Open shelving is not functional in the kitchen. It may look nice but consider the grease from cooking settling on your dishes, dust, earthquake issues in CA, insects... do you want to wash each dish before eating on it? Its unhygienic and impractical. Put up a cabinet instead. And don't tile up the whole wall, another dumb idea. Grout lines collect grease and dust. After 6 months, this will look trashed.
How are you going to stress the tile if you’re screwing to the stud? You silly ....
Thank you so much!!
@@hushg2000 Try to write proper English and finish your sentences. Sloppy writing is the product of a sloppy mind. I've explained it in detail above, so you can follow along, dimwit.
You used the same music in the bathroom cabinet project - what is it?
Love it but where are you getting the parts for 20$
+marlin ewing just the pipe fitting and pipes come on at about 20$ plus at my Home Depot
Sometimes when these videos say "build X for $YY" what they mean is, "I had most of this stuff already or it was given to me for free. I just had to get $20 of extra stuff"
My first thought. The floor flanges and spray paint are almost $20 for just those two.
This is some $50 - $100 project material cost, even in US where the material seems to cost a lot less compared to other countries. It will greatly depend on if you already own wood stain, polyurethane and misc bits.
You can apply Polyurethane with a rag??
Husband did this today. $70 later we have two shelves and a little leftover wood and spray paint.
I love your videos but please change the music or talk!
Kendra Salerno, I love the builds too. But I had to unsubscribe because of no talking. I don't know that's just me.
I just muted the sound and watched
I loved the music. I danced and watched
what is the use of poly
Where do you get that beautiful music that is playing along in your videos? Thanks in advance!
I liked your dog bed and the planter and etc but here anchors will not do without a vertical brace. you need to use at least 2 inch screws and try to make sure to center them in the studs thank you
What stain color you used?
What's the name of the music playing its sick?
how do I attach it to a tiled wall?????
Also how much weight have you placed on these? I am planning on building longer shelves..
If you plan on making longer shelves you can either add another pipe or use 2" thick wood instead of 1" for more support.
كيف تم التثبيت بالحائط بعد التركيب؟؟؟
Do they EVER respond to viewer questions??? Sheesh!!
I did it too. This is what I used Woodglut designs for
Man, is that ceiling solid enough to hold weight? Isnt that ceiling sheet rock? 5:53
what is the music for this video
What product and color for stain did you use? Thanks
I believe it was Minwax Honey for this one!
How high is your ceiling? 1:54
Wait you skipped the last part where you drilled in the nails.... we wanted to see how you drilled to the backsplash?
