    I am also into Test automation from last 2 years, but sir the problem is now a days we are flooded with Codeless test automation tools like Tosca, Test Rigor etc. which can do end to end automation freely due to which I feel the relevance of automation tester is going to decrease. How true is that sir?

    How can the skills used in UI Automation be used in Manufacturing Automation . The point is the skills used in UI Automation like Core Java , Selenium , GitHub ,Jenkins , Maven etc. can be extended to learn other Java technologies . And at present Automation Engineer are paid less than a Front End/Backend or Full Stack Developer . And secondly , no way competition is less in Automation .

    In my recent attempts in job hunt I realised that companies want a very specific experience in a skill. Even if you have the skill or can learn that skill easily it does not matter. You have to have done in it your company. I don't think experience in automation testing will open the door for other automation related work.

      All jobs become monotonous after a certain time. Think about the bigger picture. What applications you are impacting? How is your work helping your company? If you focus on only the work you are doing without looking at the bigger picture then you will never be satisfied in any of the work. Even developer job can become monotonous. Learn some new skills. Learn how you can use GenAI tools for Automation. That will be the next big wave to ride for you.

      SAP is also popular and also Niche skill. It is not easy to find SAP Consultants. Because they have to go through rigrous trainings. So if you like what you are doing then it is a good field. There will be less competition and more money. But in full stack development you will have a lot fo competition. General rule of thumb is do what you like most and are able to do the best.

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  Před rokem +1

      Salaries for Automation will be higher than MERN. Because MERN is mostly Web Application Development. Where you have a lot of people doing it. So there is a very good supply of resources. But Power Automate or UiPath the number of people doing these will be less. So there is less supply. If the demand is more then the salary will also be good to attract the right talent. Since you have 2 years of experience in this. Go from a Generalist to Specialist. Learn everything you can about Automation that people treat you as an expert in this area. Then your salary will go through the roof.

    Are bhai tum log ke pas uske q ka solution nh he to chhodo jane do.
    Everyone knows there are good opportunities in test automation too. But everyone also knows that the growth potential and more money is in development than in automation.
    Wo automation me kam kar rha he. Usko pata he.. Usne pehle hi dekh rkha he is field me kya he kitna he.. phir wo soch rha he ki bhai me kr hi rha hu java, c#, js use to or thoda kuch karke development me move ho jaunga and usse uska career thoda jada acha ho jayega, thoda jada pesa kma paega wo.

    Man what are you even trying to convey. Test automation and robotic automation are poles apart. IISc runs its flagship MTech programme under CSA (Computer science and automation) department, and automation here doesnt refer to test automation bhai !! Obviously anything for which we write code is part of automation itself, but the guy specifically asked you about test automation.
    These days any random guy creates a CZcams channel and starts spitting out whatever comes to their mind. And if the comment guy (Lokeswara) is reading this, then YESS!! you should switch to dev ASAP. These automation tools (selenium, playwright etc) are absolutely no brainer and soon would be moved to development teams' plate because it is ridiculously easy to write these tests. Manufacturing, robotics and other industry automation require experts who have been working in the concerned area for long time and may not necessarily related to coding aspect. It is ENTIRELY different from test automation.

    • @MusingsbyAmit
      @MusingsbyAmit  Před měsícem

      The framework for all automation remains very similar. Yes there will be differences in test or rpa or other forms of automation but the overall concept remains same. If you learn one form of automation you can apply the same knowledge to other forms of automation. In the end programming boils down to input, process, decision loops, and output. If you understand that then you can learn anything related to programming. I started my programming journey in 1993 with 8086 and am still learning.
