കൈപ്പില്ലാ പാവയ്ക്ക വെള്ളത്തോരന്‍ 👌😊👌....(PAVAKKA VELLATHORAN)

Pavakka Vellathoran
Ingredients
1. Bitter gourd (one) (very thin tiny cubes)- 2 cups
2. Green chilli chopped - 5 to 8
3. Small onion/ shallots (chopped) - 2 cups
4. Grated coconut -2 cups
5. Salt - to taste
6. Curry leaves - plenty
7. Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
Preparation
1. Mix well items (1 to 5) & curry leaves squeezing well with the hand.
2. Let it be done well on very slow flame in a thick bottomed wide mouthed pan , keeping closed.
3. When done, remove, add coconut oil & plenty of squeezed curry leaves. Serve hot / cold.

Hello ammachi ! Hope you are doing well. Thanks a ton for presenting this nostalgic recipe ! My all time favourite! My parents belong to vadasherikara, pathanamthitta. My mother prepares this recipe in the exact way as you explained. She adds a dash of ghee to the hot rice & this exotic pavakka thoran and bang! its heaven! Even iam a huge fan of curd & pavakka thoran combo anytime.
My mother too uses the expression "thatti pothi" while explaining.
I was waiting for a glimpse for the orange beauty ! Vintage Ceramic kettles are a sheer beauty . Thank you for that.
