For the white mould on the plants. It can be a sign of overwatering or poor drainage. Plants actually need less water than you might think. It could be good to put a wooden stick in. Take it out each day, if it is dry, water the plant. If it is wet, you don't water the plant. It seems to be just on the top. So I would put a tray underneath the pot with a little water in and let it soak up from the roots so the top isn't soaked. I hope this fixes your problem :)
the snails actually need some calcium for their shells, so its helpful for them if you grind some eggshells and put them in their tank :)

Brew 3-4 cloves of garlic in 250 ml of hot (not boiling) water. When beverage is cold, water ill plants. It kills mould, but it's harmless for plants :)
